I would like to see Trump issue economic incentives for countries like Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, etc. Maybe if the quality of life improved for civilians in these countries they would be happy to stay where they are.

Unfortunately, have to agree with the fact that some Indians have exploited the visa process and made it a mess for the remaining well intentioned legal residents. Lack of proper manners, over staying, misusing the privilege, list goes on. Please understand: we need to follow rules. We are a law abiding country. Not everything is perfect, neither in India or anywhere. That does not give you the right to break rules blatantly. We don't want illegal immigrants, why would some other country want that. Read, learn and improve. Good luck.

As a Brit I know many decent integrated Indians here. But none of them are recent arrivals. Older immigrants were respectful and wanted to be British and adopt British ways. But newer immigrants act as if we owe them something while acting in disrespectful dirty disgusting ways. For example in India I have to use Indian toilets as Indians do. I don’t pretend I don’t understand how to use them, I don’t need instructions on the door and I don’t break the toilet by standing on it, shytting up the walls and all over the floor and leave it there like that’s normal. I’ve worked in offices where this was routine when Indian contractors were brought in. Integrated Indian men seem to take great pride in dressing smartly and smelling good. But it’s really common for Indians to smell REALLY BAD. Poor personal hygiene plus excessive amounts of Indian food (you’re abroad ffs try some different food!) creates a truly vile odour. Some Indian men also think it acceptable to stare at and harass British girls (although to be fair they do not have as bad a reputation as their neighbours) they are also rude and racist to white people especially women. Some Indians in 2025 still seem to think they’re living under the Raj and Britain is ‘oppressing’ them. They’re not and we’re not. The empire brought benefits to India and left peacefully over 70 YEARS ago. We don’t owe you ANYTHING. This victim mentality means India will NEVER be a proper first world country. You can flood the world with sheer numbers but you will never be respected or improve the world in any way, you will only ever leech off the invention of others. I do not mean to disrespect the many decent Indian people I’m just telling the truth. As a culture your presence outside of India is negative because of the way so many Indians act, trying to create India wherever they go. And they have the cheek to say this is ok because they got colonised. WELL SO DID WE! That is the truth.

when there are tons of freebies to receive in the USA without having to work for it, there is no motivation to fix and improve their own countries.

I agree that skilled immigration is the right thing to do \n\nStop asylum seekers , take students as they are needed to fuel local economy , however improve the criteria to qualify for a work visa after student \n\nPermanent residency to be only allowed if you are working in a niche job where you don’t find any Canadian is found for that job position.\n\nMy view is to reduce taxes on individuals , incorporations and also eastablish industries and remove unwanted regulations and allow to establish industries \n\nThis will boost employment and also use this opportunity to develop near shore for us based companies to help them find skilled resources in canada \n\nMany thoughts I am not an expert , but I love canada and canada deserve to be a world leader in everything

The media can spin this however they wish, but the essential truth is that finally we are taking steps to regain control over two areas that have been completely mis-managed over the past number of years. \n\nA cutback in the number of refugees and immigrants? That signifies that once again Canada has borders. A country is defined by its borders. Trudeau took ours down causing an immigration and refugee free for all. Now he is being forced to correct that.\n\nA reduction in the number of federal public servants? The government has used federal public service hiring to make its jobs numbers look better. These jobs are mostly high paying and effectively unproductive in that they do not generate anything to improve the economy. Rather than contributing to the economy, they draw on it. That has been a drag Canada cannot afford.\n\nIt is about time changes like these are made on a large scale.

Americans want legal ways to citizenship to be improved but we cannot accept mass, unregulated immigration. It is not sustainable. Both parties can agree on that but we can’t agree on how to fix it. The issue is that there are too many people coming and it’s overwhelming our system. It’s sad to see people upset but we have to put our own country’s interests first.

As an Indian, I do not want our Indians to migrate to other countries☹️. Many of them do not know manners, behaviour, are uneducated, uncivilized, hygiene, they are giving a bad name to India. One might think that the countries loosing millions of their doctors, lawyers & astronauts to migration would be complaining that their best and brightest are leaving their home countries, but strangely it seems like things are only improving in south and central America. It's so very strange....

Well, there are good Indians and scammers Indian. Scammers in India are causing headaches for good Indians. That is the facts. For instance, recently some Indians took a huge loan in UAE and left for Canada with that money. That has put the UAE government in a position to make the visa process more difficult to find out if bad people are getting the visa or not. I would say, the Indian government should introduce a process to thoroughly investigate a person before they apply for a foreign visa, and it should be honest to see some improvement in Indian behavior in the foreign countries. If not, that number is just going to go down. It doesn’t matter how much you scream. Do that for the sake of good Indian people.

I didn’t understand that comment- west wouldn’t answer the reason behind India’s low passport ranking. The ranking is based on how many of the 200+ countries give you visa free access. Hence its Indian govt. diplomacy and other factors that will help improve that ranking now west countries…

As a Pakistani, I understand that Indians, Bengalis and Pakistanis are considered by Europeans and Americans to be immoral. And it is also a fact that the people of these three countries of South Asia are extremely dirty and rude. They are not trained to eat, speak, or go to public places.Now, even in South Korea, Indians and Pakistanis are prohibited from entering clubs and bars. \nTherefore, the improvement lies in the fact that instead of earning wealth, one should first learn how to live.

India is not a superpower. GDP does not make power or greatness. Indians need to improve India at the grassroots level - cleanliness, industriousness, real development at the grassroots level, not growth of stock market. Actually India has not developed at all. People are happy to convert to Christianity and Islam and accept freebies. Ex-Hindus are happy to put down other Hindus without any loyalty to their ancestry.

Singapore welcomes the Ceca Indians. Only wish they should improve their bad social behaviour in public places and be good neighbours in public housing estates.

Palki’s logical arguments are mostly spot on. However, I am surprised that she asks this question but doesn’t not answer with sound reasons so the people can learn and improve. The reasons for rejections may *possibly* be due to the number of Indians than have over stayed their tourist visas or due to illegal entry or international students that have not returned but rather stayed back illegally. Also possibly due to certain behaviours against women or cheating/corruption practices taken to the new country. Palki should do that research and then present based on evidence which she usually does a great job with.

Indians should migrate to China instead. Call it silent invasion. You can help your government by going to China while your government doesn't improve in helping you.

India shld learn fast. You have 1.4B population. Improve your infrastructure, make more youngsters enterprising and be 100% less corrupt and move your country away from their dependencies. Modi was rejected US VISA in 2025 for a reason. Stop the corruption and exploitation of the innocent. Improve the culture and HDI of the country. Focus on developing yourself. And the newsreader should learn the difference between speaking with confidence and arrogance.

We Indians must agree that India is a $hithole country. Improve trade and cut H4 visas for US as i have no idea on other countries. H4 visa housewives will really depressed in a country like US. because of depression crime rate will be more.? sometimes you wont have any indian friends near by even it has more indian immigrants. Give jobs to indians who are living there for generations. They must have contributed tons of inputs larger foreign trade income etc... It is failure of Ministry of External Affairs, they need to realise our economic status and pursue with concerned authorities to improve indian passport rankings.

It's a shame that we talk about 5th biggest economy.... and politicians and actors saying at immigration they ask are you coming from Modi's country.... Bullshit... the moment they see Indian passport they don't want to trust that you are here for tourism.. ... We are treated worst than 3rd class citizens. Indians need to learn Etiquette and need to improve on the way they behave with others where ever they go

India is 1.4 billion strong. If a European country gives Indians easier access on visa, we will flood that country. You already have Dunkis thronging in droves, illegally entering US and Canada. This has nothing to do with nationalism or some second-class treatment by other nations. This is simply the logistical reality. India's passport ranking will never improve. And the way Indians behave in other countries, I would say this rejection rate is more than justified.

Congress had reciprocal arrangement. To boost tourism post negative PR following Nirbhaya incident BJP let go of it with evisas. Both sides have valid argument but real elephant in the room is behavior and respect of laws and etiquette by our desis. Imagine out of 55000 non compliant student visas in Canada that did not show up to school..20k were Indians. So unless Indians improve there, neither government Modi nor Congress equally can't do much.

India's over population is the biggest concern to the whole world. India should simply merge with Australia, USA, UK, Canada and NEW zealand. So many indians are dying to migrate to these counties. So many indians do not want to live in india due to lack of quality of life, corruption, pollution and over population. If india merges with these countries they can move half of the indian population to these countries and the quality of life in India will improve.
