Mexico or Canada's response to Trump tariffs mean nothing. Mexico and Canada will do what they're told or be completely cut out of the American economy. Mexico and Canada take orders they do not give them. Dollar for dollar free trade, after that 100% tariffs.

lol why do the brainless sheep believe trump when he says China is paying for the tariffs?? - nothing could be further from the truth - it is the usa importers who pay the tariffs and they in turn pass on those increased costs to the american consumers. So when trump says he will put 60% tariffs on Chinese goods, it means that the american consumers will have to pay at least 60% more for those goods.

The whole reason for this threat of tariff is that Mexico does nearly nothing to protect the border. I’d suggest taxing any cash outflows wired to Mexico or any other countries not interested in solving this problem.

Gave a sizable portion of the stretegic oil reserve to non stretegic countries, increased Government spending on bad programs, sent several hundred billion to fund non stretegic foreign wars and hundreds of billions on housing, medical care and debit cards for illegal immigrants, while doing nothing for Maui, North Carolina and Florida or the millions of homeless and diplaced Americans and American veteran.\nAs for this Mexico issue. The people have spoken. Border counties filled with legal immigrants but flooded with violent illegals voted for Donald Trump because they are living the nightmare created by Mexico and the Biden administration, that these media and political hacks theorize about. The Mexican government has failed its people by allowing the Cartels to fill their pockets with billions every year. \nMexico is also working with China to funnel Chinese goods through Mexico in an attempt to bypass tariffs and flood the American economy with cheap Chinese goods. In conclusion, Tariffs are affective because these greedy American and Foreign corporations use cheap labor to make cheap goods that they then sell for major profit. Tariffs tend to make these companies movie to America create American Jobs and pay higher American salaries which are a significant savings over tariffs. The companies lose considerable profits but they gain market share because they understand that when you raise the price of goods you only make the American alternative more appealing.

If Mexico don't want to pay tariffs then they need to control their Southern border because everybody comes through Mexico they're doing absolutely nothing to stop it

Trump acts like we make SOOOOO much here in the US that we can function alone. FALSE! We make damn near NOTHING here. We rely too heavily on other countries in every aspect of our lives; food, clothing/footwear, shelter/building construction material, automotive even down to hygiene products . These countries think he is a fool! Hike up tariffs for them and they will just take it out on us. Tariff is NOT going to control immigration. NO 1 president has ever 100% combated immigration. YES we need a tough stance on immigration & it will result in some casualties, let's be honest. However the way he is talking, he will screw his own people. When the Corporate Rate gets reduced from 28% to 15%, the price of commodities/goods on corporate owned shelves will go down 46.428571% but not mom and pop shops b/c mom and pop shops ain't got nothing and Big Business just about has it all. A 22-23% market correction is coming soon. It shouldn't be over 30%. Take 8 and divide it by 36 and it gives you the answer.\n\nI suspect tariffs won't take effect immediately. Along with the 22-23% market correction & Corporate Rate reduction, it could appear that those goods will go down 2/3rds in price in 3-4 months & might be stable for a little while. Perhaps tariffs will kick in 18-24 months from now. All those decisions that are made is Big Government and all them taxes that the working man/working folk pay in is jacked up and ain't right! It was announced today on the news that the Trump initiative to deport all illegal immigrants will cost up to $1 trillion dollars. That’s a lot of moolah. Which will come out of our taxes. And the tariffs that he went on and on about. Companies aren’t giving out bonuses to workers for end of year. Because they have to save money now because Trump will impose tariffs on incoming goods. The workers didn’t understand they assumed the cost would be paid by importers. In reality, it will trickled down to American consumers who have to pay for goods. Economists have been saying during the election this is a bad idea.Trump tried to do it the last time he was in office and it didn’t work. So people be aware you think you can’t afford things now wait you won’t be able to afford anything. PS the government has nothing to do with price gouging for food and they don’t set the price for gasoline or electricity, etc. ????

Housing market has nothing to do with foreigners. bad goverment that taxes everything too much, bad import tariffs etc etc all of that makes building houses expensive therefore drives cost up. also recent inflation doesnt help either
