All Trump has been asking for all along is for Canada & Mexico to DO THEIR PART in stemming the illegal immigration and Fentanyl from crossing into the United States. Nearly 100,000 Americans die each year from Fentanyl overdoses. The raw ingredients come from China and into their respective nations, where they are processed and made into Fentanyl, then brought into the U.S. Neither nation has taken Trump seriously and Biden didn't give a crap and actually assisted with bringing in more of everything. Now both nations get to deal with the results of their inactions. Remember, these are reciprocatory tariffs to simply equal what American goods are charged by Canada & Mexico already. NOW everyone is on an equal playing field. If these nations want lower tariffs, they can go first and then the U.S. will match it to theirs... It's that simple.

Canada does not even need counter tariffs. Canadians already stopped buying US stuff.

Fentanyl wasn’t the only issue. Other issue is matching the Tariffs we already and have been receiving from Canada. CNN and other legacy media outlets need to ask these countries if they’ve offered to eliminate there Tariffs and any debt accrued from Tariffs.

I mean, its already a given that he is likely the guy who filed a lawsuit a few summers back against a sweet, innocent littls FOUR year old boy for having a lemonade stand on property not zoned for commercial use. If it wasn't Trump then I'm sure it's only because he was too busy ordering the National Guard to power hose and pepper spray the 30 or so elderly nuns who had been distributing bottled water to folks demonstrating in support of Black Lives Matter on the hottest day of the year. Satisfied in his victorious battle against the nuns - 9 of whom had been hospitalized for critical injuries including the 92 year old Mother Superior who suffered massive brain bleed, swelling and concussion due to the excessive force of the power hose and an 87 year old nun who lost permanent sight in one eye due to the pepper spray - Trump had the nerve to pose for a publicity shot in front of the church while holding a Bible - UPSIDE DOWN - and scrunching and contorting his face into that hideous trademark scowl he does ever so naturally. Yep. This is the man my fellow Americans chose to represent our nation as President - a man who beats up 90 year old nuns and imposes 25% tax hikes to our ONLY FRIEND in the entire world simply for refusing to accept his invitation for statehood. They should have let the French speech play out with interpretation as Trudeau is not repeating what he already said in English and he provided more information. Also CNN keeps interrupting the question/answer portion of the speech. I want this news from the horse's mouth, not the news person's interpretation or regurgitation of what was said. I went to another source to see the complete speech instead of staying on this channel. I recommend that other viewers do the same if you want complete information.

Mr. Trudeau, As an American who has never voted for Trump, I apologize for the person we currently have in the White House, and wish Canada and Mexico the best. Do what you have to do, and hopefully it will cause enough disruption that Trump will have to retreat. Most of us consider Canadians and Mexicans our friends. A lot of people in the US are contacting our representatives in Congress, participating in economic boycotts, and joining groups like the ACLU that are bringing lawsuits against some of the actions that have already occurred.
