It's the same thing in Ottawa. I moved here in 2019 from Montreal and the culture shock was immediate. I've already made up my mind to leave the country because it's absolutely finished. If all goes to plan, I'll be out of here by 2026. Canada will become an Indian majority country in less than 20 years and Canadians are asleep at the switch. They don't seem to understand or care what happens when you dump a million or more immigrants per year into a country of just 40M and while Indians aren't bad people per se, even they will tell you that the new stock of Indians coming into the country isn't the same as the old. They're far more tribal than they ever used to be. Trudeau opened the floodgates, but I don't think Poilievre will be able to close them. I live in his riding and there are a loooot of indians here. There's no way he'll want to risk stirring up the hornet's nest. The Canada we knew is on death's doorstep.

Is there a smart they won’t come to Canada because even right now Canadians are on the street. It’s just not a good time. Canadians are good people it’s not their fault. And then no one‘s offering the immigrants jobs because there is no jobs but that’s not again the Canadians fault they can’t afford to put food on their own table. Canadians are hard-working and I know lotta immigrants are hard-working in regards to the students don’t come here maybe the United States will be best for you they offer lotta countries. Oh my God warm nice beautiful countries, I’m not country is sorry states you’ll probably be best for you to transfer over to somewhere there cause it’s just so many beautiful, warmer climate, and if people are used to coming from a warmer climate, it would just make more sense to me just an idea. I’m half of Canadians. I’m embarrassed of what is happening to the Canadian people under Trudeau and I’m embarrassed of what’s happening to the immigrants under Trudeau. I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! The refugees get a free ride at the expense of hard-working Canadians, 90% of whom came from immigrant stock! What happens when Trudeau says these deceitful lies about legal immigrants is that the racism and discrimination increases dramatically. I have been left in agony in hospital due to evil racist Canadians who thought that my accent meant that I had just flown in yesterday and what right did I have to be there? Police refused to charge a neighbor whose son was threatening the life of my grandchild because the neighbor works for the CRA! Other people have the same complaints. Democracy? What democracy, oh, and please spare us Mr. Trudeau the claim to be a constitutional monarchy, when most don't want the monarchy as a head of state for Canada! I have been honored to have known, still know, and will know in the future, many good, hard-working, caring and decent Canadians, but Mr. Trudeau, can you explain to me, how many of those were actually of immigrant stock and how many have forgotten where their families came from? Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

I clicked on this expecting some right-wing Trudeau-bashing, and I was pleased to see it’s actually a fairly objective, non-partisan discussion. \n\nOne thing it doesn’t mention, though, is that conservative provincial governments in Canada are sitting on $70 billion in health care funding supplied by the federal government. They are deliberately allowing their health care systems to deteriorate. They have done the same with federal housing funding, to the point where the federal government is now making deals directly with cities to supply new housing. \n\nAnd, those rising housing prices, for better or worse, have made a lot of Canadian homeowners and landlords very wealthy. THEY certainly don’t want to see housing get more affordable.

I am shocked to learn that people coming on Tourist visa (from developing countries) to Canada can apply for Job here and once hired can change visa status while in Canada. Never have I ever heard about this while staying in UK on work permit for 4 years that UKBA /Home Office has ever approved such low quality visa that Trudeau is flexible about. I am SO glad I was born on the U.S side of the border, because Canada has been on the slide for quite some time. Trudeau has made matters a millions time worse, and now the nation is in dire straights. I recently have talked with Canadians about what is happening and they are pissed! Canada has always been on the liberal side, but they bought all in and now it is starting to become a third world banana republic.

let me set the record straight here. International students pay four to fivefold as much tuition as locals do, and injects billiions of dollars into the Canadian economy. They have long become a cash cow in the eyes of canadian institutions and nobody ever voices support for 'em not even once. How sick and ungrateful was that? And now they're held accountable for, idk, housing crisis? For god's sake, why the heck nobody criticise the government's refugee-taking spree? Under Trudeau's ruling, Canada has imported way more refugees than any other nation from the middle of nowhere. At least international students has made siginificant economic contribution to the country. But what have those refugees done to the country except draining your resources? Fabulous video! US viewer here. But we often vacationed in Quebec’s Laurentians and our daughter went to Ontario’s University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree about 15 years ago. UofT was rigorous, to say the least, but she did it in 4 years, unlike some of her peers. She LOVED it, and made many friends, including internationals. They’ve stayed close on FB, and even get together (some flying in from other countries, including the Middle East and Asia) every 2 years or so back in Toronto. We’ve found the easiest way to make friends is by going to university or college together and living in residence, rather than once we’ve enter the workforce.\n\nThat said, and as unpolite as it may be, the root of Canada’s problems are exactly its politics. IMO Canada’s misguided liberal policies are to blame for its stratospheric taxes, cost of housing, increasing crime, tolerant drug culture, and deteriorating health care system. That Canada now encourages voluntary euthanasia to reduce health care costs should say it all. Margaret Sanger would be proud. And it promises to get worse as long as Justin Trudeau and his ilk are in power. His lionizing climate change intervention at the expense of what really impacts Canadians is sheer madness. Conservative Party Pierre Poilievre and like-minded politicians could fix it all.\n\nHappily, here in the US, the conservative movement is growing and energized. US family here. We were a big downhill skiing family, and often spent our winter vacations in the Laurentians. The exchange rate was great back in the 1990s and early 2000s. So when the time came to start looking at colleges, our daughter already associated Canada with fun, and fell in love with the University of Toronto. She was accepted. But before Canada would issue her a student visa, we had to provide evidence that we could pay full tuition, room, and board out of pocket. For all four years! They wanted an iron guarantee that she would never become a ‘ward of the state’ or consume public assistance services. We had to jump through soooo many logistical hoops for her to attend, it was exhausting to facilitate. But she graduated with honors in four years. All that time, the city was beautiful, clean, and vibrant, though not inexpensive. The St. George main campus, Queen’s Park, Bloor, Yongue Street, more. Everyone we met was friendly and respectful. We very rarely saw homeless and never tent communities. And crime seemed almost nonexistent except for bicycle thefts. Our daughter made many international friends and forged great relationships she carries to this day. So many wonderful memories. So it’s heartbreaking to hear how downhill the city has become. And the US is no different. It’s all in the politics, and neither Trudeau’s nor Biden’s policies are helping.

This is my 13th year in Canada, I am so sad to see the change, I really hope it will become a better country again with Trudeau stepping down. But we also have to be fair that there are not many countries become better since COVID. Many of you leaving or planning to leave Canada are more like rich country retirees taking advantage of the wage and currency differences between rich and poor countries. So let’s put it this way, if many of you have not worked your whole life here in Canada, will you still have a quality of life in your home countries, such as Southeast Asia or South America? I doubt majority of the population there is make a good money and having great work life balance, and everyone there could afford a decent retirement life. what is more close to nowadays reality is people coming here and hoping they could have a better paid job and settle down here, but most of them found out they are struggling to even maintain their normal life in this country, so they left. For those who came years ago, they made a saving which may not be enough to support a good retirement life here, but is more than enough in other countries, they also choose to flee. Then those successful immigrants will stay here with the option to travel anywhere they want. My son's classmate's grandfather immigrated to Canada long time ago who later become a well known cardiologist and was rewarded as one of the top 25 immigrants Award, all three daughters are now specialists too. I really hope Canada could rise again!

The reason behind all these factors except the last one is socialism. No matter if comes from the right or the left. But a decade of government under Trudeau's policies only made it worse. He has done some good for me; but also bad.\nCanada started plummeting after COVID hit; and it has gotten worse. Due to this; we are now paying food prices through our ears!! Crazy. Also; there seems to be a level of corruption regarding the housing issue. No affordable housing. Not enough homes built. Only the rich can afford homes now. Government gets to tax that; and they love it! The rich class have more clout in voting for a government that aids them in making more and more money that they rob from the POOR house renters. The lower and middle class. As the Middle class in Canada is now becoming poor. The rich get much richer. This government is trying to bring in thousands of immigrants to stimulate the economy. But mostly; the immigrants have taken over all the lower Canadian jobs. We can't get them anymore. Because immigrants work cheap here; and sign onto contract deals with mega-corps that ensure they keep working for 2 years. Job entry level Canadians (are left without). There are also not nearly enough houses for immigrants to live in anyway! This government did not anticipate that we simply do not have enough homes for immigrants, nor Canadians alike!! What a fail. Healthcare is also failing huge... mostly thanks to the Conservatives who love to block almost every good healthcare BIll possible.

Because we get nothing done here. My mom came to this country in the 70s and she loved how much progress they made every decade. But now we do nothing. We need to get Canada working. I’m a single mother who is under income and I cannot find anything. Even the government won’t even help. They put me on this ridiculous seven year waitlist. Which I have technically been on for 12 years, but they lost my application and made me reapply ?\n\nThey don’t care my child, and I are facing homelessness. Their excuse? Canada currently has an influx of newcomers that need homes first.\n\nI have a teenage boy and he has a lot of new Ukrainian refugees. Why are they not in shelters? I understand they need help, and Canada should gladly welcome them.\nBut they’re putting these families in literal condos. Nice condos. Government paid for one year. I am a South Sudanese Canadian who pretty much grew up in Kenya before travelling abroad. Life in Canada is not easy.. especially after Trudeau came to power.\nI make pretty good income in IT, but i pay like 30% in taxes...30% of my money is gone. I dont see it. I know others who pay more than me in taxes. The grocery is also high, as are the other bills. Rent is really high. In my city, an average house costs 800k. Even my cousins in the US are shocked at the prices of homes in Canada. My rent is much higher than the mortgages being paid by my cousins in the US. In places like Toronto or Vancouver, it is worse.\n\nI went back to Africa last time and saw so many opportunities, that i made my decision yo transition slowly back home. \n\nThe problem i find with most Africans is thinking of finding jobs in the government or private sector. If you are a Kenyan, or Ethiopian or South Sudanese, etc, think of creating jobs instead.\n\nThe opportunities for entrepreneurship in Africa are endless because alot of the problems in society have not yet been resolved. You dont have to have alot of capital to start farming for example. So many Africans have access to free ancestral lands that they can farm and make money from. But many want to spend time in the cities instead. A change of mindset is needed.

Due to Trudeau's policies the standard of living for a LOT of people has rocketed downwards...his gas tax has made food and gas unaffordable, his mass printing of Canadian currency plus his massive deficits from year to year have cause rampant inflation, we have a massive housing shortage due to his policies coupled with the lack of proper infrastructure in this country (Canada is the ONLY G7 nation with high speed rail, plus we have no plans to build that)...as a result rents in cities like Toronto and Vancouver are ridiculously unaffordable...there is a massive crime wave happening in the country because of Trudeau's policies to release criminals from jails, coupled with his policies to use taxpayer funds to provide drugs (like cocaine, and meth) to users...stay away from Toronto, it has been ruined by the policies of the government run by Justin Trudeau and backed by Jagmeet Singh. :(

Beware of the single narrative. He’s speaking from his own experience, but it’s not the same as everybody’s. I’ve lived in Canada now for 4 years…got my citizenship this year. I lived in Nigeria for the 10 years prior to moving to Canada, and I also schooled and lived in the UK before that, so I speak with a wealth of diverse experiences. \n\nBefore you move to Canada or anywhere else for that matter, do the following:\n\n1. Research the country you’re moving to…what jobs are in demand, how that aligns with your qualifications…if you need to recertify or retrain in a different field. Many people move here thinking “oh I was a bank manager in Nigeria, so I’ll move here and become a bank manager”. It doesn’t work that way. The streets of Canada are littered with qualified medical doctors who drive Uber because they didn’t understand how difficult it would be to be certified to practice here.\n\n2. Find role models who are living the life you aspire to, or who have made similar moves and seek advice or guidance, and learn what they did right/wrong. Don’t just assume because your friend moved here, you can also move here and live the same life. You don’t share the same life experiences, history or have the same network.\n\n3. Before you immigrate physically, you have to immigrate mentally…be in the right mindset to live in a new country, understand their culture and learn to adapt. If you’re expecting to leave Nigeria and move to Canada to live a Nigerian lifestyle with “owambe” parties every weekend, or having 4 cars and 3 housemaids, then you’re still living in Nigeria mentally. Even Justin Trudeau does not drive 4 cars.\n\nI work in tech, so I knew that with God’s grace I’d find a way to succeed here. My wife worked in a Nigerian bank, and was able to transition to tech after we arrived here. Our combined annual income is roughly $500k, and we both work less than 40 hours a week, and I believe God will continue to bless us. I have easily 20 or 30 friends and colleagues who moved within a year or two of each other, and everyone is doing fine and working in tech jobs paying 6-figures. \n\nDon’t be discouraged by people’s failures and hardships. With the right planning and mindset, you can achieve your goals in any country. Reach out to people on LinkedIn, build a network and ask for advice (constructively)…many like us are more than willing to help.

Trudeau has ruined Canada….he cannot stop bringing in immigrants and refugees that are costing tax payers billions of dollars. How early it is to spend …blow the tax payers money . Where are we now ? Canadians are sleeping in tents, Canadians are taxed into poverty to pay for all the freebies and hand outs and easy money. The demand on housing has made buying a home impossible in Canada and rents are skyrocketing along with the cost of food! Millions of Canadians no longer have a family Doctor….waiting lists are tremendous…people are not getting the healthcare like in the past. What is the solution to the problem?…the Trudeau government say we need to bring in millions more people to build homes……WHAT? Really? Would you buy 1000 horses or cows without a barn ? NO! Why not put the millions of people you already brought into this country to work building houses instead of working at Walmart or fast food joints or delivering trucks. Low income jobs to keep the companies here happy with cheap labour so they can made big profits instead of paying Canadians a living wage! It is all about moneymaking, greed, and votes, to hell with the taxpayers of Canada!

There isn't enough housing for the new arrivals in Canada, and its getting more difficult to access medical care. Canada's leftist prime minister, Justin Trudeau, is unpopular for stoking inflation with deficit spending and raising taxes. This video would have made more sense ten years ago when things in Canada were much better.

I'm an American who moved to Canada. Would I ever move back? Probably not. The US is so screwed up right now that I can't imagine ever moving back into that malstrom. Most Americans don't realize the laughing stock Trump has made of the US. Trudeau isn't great but Donald Trump makes Trudeau look like a saint. And socialized medicine, while imperfect still beats the US medical insurance situation. Less litter, less congestion and more politeness. That's Canada compared to the US.

It is because Trudeau's policy, there are express process for those who entered Canada this way to get PR. From the date they made refugee claim, they receive welfare, their children get education as Canadian citizen. Those who pay application fee to immigrate Canada have to wait years, and after they arrive they have to wait 3 months to get health care. But this people can get health in 3 days. How many of them are real refugees. Trudeau use our Canadian tax payers money to get his future voters.

As a Canadian I can explain our problem: Our elected PM. He's absolutely gutted our energy sector and has made it clear the only economy that can function in Canada is Quebec & Ontario's economy, which accounts for government employees and white collar workers.\n\nThat's lead to Canadians moving to the US for work, home ownership, lower taxes, etc etc.\n\nCanadians that do stick around: Aren't interested in running a business, they tend to wind up working for the government for that stable income, and the only reliable way to get a good pension w/o managing your own finances.\n\nOur PM blames Canadians who own a house and a rental property rather than the thousands of foreigners who've been let in who buy 5+ properties to collect rental revenue.\n\nBusinesses won't invest in Canada anymore until there's certainty in our economy - And Trudeau ain't offering any guarantees besides wish washy threats to cut sectors.
