This American stands with Canada. \nHit em back, Trudeau. He is not our king. He needs to go. Show the American people that voted for this Dictator that they made a huge mistake (again). ?
2025-03-04 0
I love it how trudeau went from being informative and eloquate, but made sure to include the words big and dumb just so he had a chance for trump to understand them.
2025-03-04 0
The only mistake Trudeau made was calling Trump a smart man.But I guess he was trolling him and appealing to Trump's fragile ego.
2025-03-04 0
We stand by you Canada. Thank you Prime Minister Trudeau. Trump for no reason made a War at his closest Ally. What a Fool. Deport him to Russia.
2025-03-04 0
Despite Trudeau's status as a lame duck prior to his pending resignation, his words and actions have made me proud to have voted for him.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau what you're saying about Putin ain't good,President Putin works so hard to safeguard the rights of the weak and prevent them from exploitation by the strong in the society,on the other hand President Trump may have made a decision that doesn't suite you but that doesn't mean he's dumb, if his decision ain't favoring you simply sit done with him and converse to find a solution.Russia is not the enemy of America but the people who spread propagandas about Russia are the ones creating an imaginary enemy who in real sense is actually a friend.
2025-03-04 0
Trump becoming president again made Trudeau resign, he sh1t himself ???
2025-03-04 0
We love Americans, don't ever forget that. Prime Minister Trudeau made a superb speech. Unbelievable what is happening. We all need to hang in there and go on this crazy fiasco together. so sad.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau isn't saying this because he's stepping down. He's saying this because it reflects how we Canadians feel. We're beyond angry. You are not our friends now. You've made yourselves our enemy.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau you belong with Gavin Newscum....made for each other!!!!

Trudeau is a fool who has made Canada the weakest country in the G7 due to his failed economic policies.
2025-03-04 0
Just one questin. Trudeau just said him an the president worked together an beliving he refurred to the USMCA. He said it made money an jobs an economy better. So he signed an agreement he didnt bring up an coulda kept rolling along like usual, but after signing it he said its been a good thing doesn't that mean he was way ahead an the new deal still left him ahead in the positive but just not as much? If so I'd like to hear him go line by line in defence of the accusations because something isnt adding up

The only time Justin Trudeau made sense. ?
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau made one key factual error. Trump is not a very smart guy.
2025-03-04 0
Just 4 months ago, this rat Trudeau said America made a mistake in voting for Trump, instead of a woman. Americans voted and overwhelmingly chose President Trump. Justin Trudeau should rather try to repair the damage that he has done to Canada and let the Adult Trump run the US.
2025-03-04 0
Mr. Trudeau you've made some mistakes while prime minister in my opinion but when really needed you have been there for your country. Very well done! Thank you!
2025-03-04 0
Don’t talk about it be about it! We made our choice!! Canada ain’t never been our closest ally… you just live under the umbrella of our protect protection!! You have been putting 25% tariffs on us for decades now!! Play ball and games changed, but we’re not playing this woke liberal ideology anymore in case you haven’t got the memo!! and by the way, Justin Trudeau is corrupted, crooked and launder money himself
2025-03-04 0
Honestly I don't know why people hate on prime minister Trudeau I think he did an amazing job during a time when nobody could predict what was happening during covid and I am glad he is speaking out because in my opinion Trump has lost his mind I am not joking I think he either has dementia or dementia? and he has been making fun of Canada ever since he got elected again and what is wrong with Americans that they re-elected this person that made their country a laughingstock honestly it makes no sense to me❤ and from him saying he's going to make Canada a state of his we are bigger than your whole f**** country you stupid bastard? sorry but he makes me so angry and yes I am a proud Canadian❤
2025-03-04 0
Trump did a good thing. All you woke, soft hearted liberals don't get the fact that the USA has been allowing these other countries to eat off of us for free. Well, that' stops today. The President/PM of Ukraine will also learn a valuable lesson today as well. Never bite the hand that feeds you. All of our tax dollars have been donated around the world to other people's causes while we are made to suffer. We have a financial crisis right here in America that needs to be addressed. This is the start, and in the long term, we will prevail. Canada is like a little sister to the US. Trudeau is talking about fighting and they can't survive a war without our help. Neither can many of the other NATO countries. So, middle finger to him and any other country that opposes us. It's time stop being taken advantage of and for the USA to start acting like we are the most powerful nation in the world. Many of you don't like Trump's decisions simply because you don't like the person. Get out of your feelings and look at then big picture.

THIS is what I expected from US government - federal and state! Excellent points made by Trudeau, and his restraint is incredible given the abject tone used toward Canadians!
2025-03-04 0
I don’t know why Trudeau made a speech to the American people talking about our government is doing this to us. Who do you think voted Trump into Office? The American people you schmuck????
2025-03-04 0
Trump made Trudeau look like a statesman. Great achievement
2025-03-04 0
As a Canadian, I am not a fan of Trudeau as I am a Conservative and his far left policies have made us far too reliant on the US. But I respect how he spoke today. It was a fine moment for him. Hearing him call Donald dumb was particularly enjoyable.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau is lying when he says they’re doing all they can. A giant fent lab was discovered in Canada in 2024 and no arrests have been made. Probably because the Chinese who fund it fleece Canadian politicians like they have been forever. Most of the world is ignorant to what is going on here. Look up Sam cooper and all the work he’s down to uncovering this.
2025-03-04 0
Man, it’s all about the fact that Trudeau was really cool with and praised Obama. The whole Canadian parliament gave Obama a standing ovation when Obama made a speech at said venue. That’s all it is yes it’s that freaking petty.
2025-03-04 0
Not always a Trudeau fan; but DAMN his speech was CLEAR AND FACT CHECKING and it laid out everything and made trump look like a STUPID LYING FOOL who has no clue what these tarrifs will do to BOTH our economies. I m PROUD of Trudeau for his speech and standing up for Canadians.
2025-03-04 1
Imagine how bad things must be that Trump made me side with Trudeau. I really hope you americans understand the damage your „president“ is causing and will cause to the world. That goes for your lapdog vicepresident too.
2025-03-04 0
Mr. Trudeau you made a mistake when you said Trump was a very smart guy. We know he’s not.??????
2025-03-04 0
From Ukraine with respect. A few decades ago our school hired a Canadian as a native speaker to teach us some spoken English. He was not very smart and made some grammar mistakes here and there. But what surprised me is how on his 1st day he tried to make a joke, smth. “We, Canadians, have nothing to apologize for, except for Celine Dion”. He startled to giggle, searching our faces for a sign of approval. There was none! We love Celine! To this day it astounds me how many Canadians badmouth their great singer or their own Prime minister. What is wrong with you? Like every Canadian I’ve met kept saying many unpleasant things of Trudeau. You should be proud of your prime minister the way you are proud to be Canadians and slow down on insulting him!

Well, of course you KNOW WHY THIS IS happening, don't you ????\nWhy can't people get the fact that it is Elon Musk who is making the call here ????\nHe wants to control the world ?. \nSo, by bringing CANADA ?? TO HER KNEES, it could make it easier for the US to take over CANADA ??.....\nNone of those who are running ?‍♂️ IN the ELECTION CAN MEASURE UP....THEY JUST CAN'T...\nAND FREELAND WILL DO TERRIBLE THINGS. \nI FOR ONE DO ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUST HER...\nTRUDEAU MADE SOME EXTREMELY BAD CALLS BY LETTING FAR TOO MANY IMMIGRUNTS\nINTO THE COUNTRY AND THE CARBON TAX WAS A FLATLINE FAIL......\nHOWEVER, NO MATTER WHO WINS THE ELECTION, \nTHEY WILL FLUB UP EVEN WORSE BECAUSE NONE OF THEM ARE CAPABLE. \nALL THE WORK TRUDEAU IS DOING BY NEGOTIATING WITH OTHER COUNTRIES FOR COMMERCE WILL BE SWEPT UNDER THE RUG AFTER THIS NEW ELECTION....\nTRUMPF WANTS ALL OUR RESOURCES AND WATER.\nHE WILL DO EVERYTHING HE CAN TO BRING CANADA ?? TO HER KNEES..\nI'm deathly afraid of what's coming .\nCanada has free health care. \ntrumpf and helon Musk will grab our pensions....\nI PRAY ? TO ALL THAT IS HOLY,\nWE DO NOT BECOME PREY....
2025-03-04 0
I cannot stand Trudeau... but this is one of the best speeches he's made... well, apart from calling Trump 'smart' ! Putin must be having a giggle fit over this stupidity.\nTrump is a traitor to the USA and its people ?
2025-03-04 0
TRUDEAU HAS BEEN FORCED TO STEP-DOWN AS PRIME MINISTER BECAUSE HE HAS DESTROYED CANADA AND MADE US COMPLETELY VULNERABLE TO ANY TRADE WAR WITH THE USA!
2025-03-04 0
As a Canadian, I share the opinion of about 80% of our country. Trudeau is a clown, and after 10 years of him destroying our country, we can't wait for him to be gone. The stuff he is saying about the flow of drugs is not accurate. Just like everything he does, the moves he has made to fight the drug trade are just theatre, with very little results. I don't like Trump, but he is correct about the drug issues we have up here.
2025-03-04 0
TRUDEAU’s government has made Canada more vulnerable than ever before! Trudeau has scared away investment, carbon tax has chased away industry to non-carbon tax countries. Canada’s over dependence on the USA market and cancelling pipelines has left us without alternative trading partners! Trudeau has destroyed Canada a lot more than Trump!
2025-03-04 0
Take it Donald. I just wish Trudeau had called you a bloody moron instead of simply someone who made a dumb decision.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau made Trump's looks very dumb
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau made everything worse.
2025-03-03 0
It is going to be tough digging ourselves out of the mess that Trudeau made, but hopefully we can do it.
2025-02-26 0
For many years, Canada did little. Trudeau counseled 'compassion'. Donald Trump made Canada do something, and Turdeau whined.
2025-02-26 0
Finally Justin Trudeau made the best decision to protect our Canadian citizens and our students ?

Trump did not achieve the increase in Canada border enforcement. That was a deal made between Trudeau and Biden. You can search for it and see it was in the news last year. Thankful that Trump didn’t cancel that cooperation, granted we shall see with the pending deadline for tariffs.
2025-02-23 0
WHY IS CANADA NOT 'VETTING' THESE PEOPLE COMING IN ON FLIGHTS??? IN IMMIGRATION?? TRUDEAU IS NOT DOING MUCH FOR THE BORDER. HE PUT IN A DESK BORDER TZAR WHO IS NOT GOOD AT THIS JOB. Trump says EU tariffs will ‘definitely happen’ as Mexico, Canada and China retaliate \nTrump takes softer line on UK, saying ‘I think that one can be worked out’, while Mexico and Canada vow levies and to strengthen ties with each other \n \nPhilip Wen, Léonie Chao-Fong and agencies \nMon 3 Feb 2025 03.57 GMT \nShare \nDonald Trump has threatened to widen the scope of his trade tariffs, repeating his warning that the European Union – and potentially the UK – will face levies, even as he conceded that Americans could bear some of the economic brunt of a nascent global trade war. \n \nIt comes as Trump’s tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, announced on Saturday, sparked retaliation from all three countries. Mexico and Canada have vowed levies of their own while China and Canada are seeking legal challenges. \n \nTrump said on Sunday night that new tariffs on the EU will “definitely happen”, repeating previous complaints about the large US trade deficit with the bloc and his desire for Europe to import more American cars and agricultural products. \n \nEmpty shelves remain with signs ''Buy Canadian Instead'' after the top five US liquor brands were removed from sale at a British Columbia liquor store in Vancouver. \nAsian sharemarkets tumble in response to Trump tariffs \nRead more \n“It will definitely happen with the European Union, I can tell you that,” he told reporters. “I wouldn’t say there’s a timeline but it’s going to be pretty soon.” \n \nTrump appeared to take a softer line on the UK, citing a good relationship with prime minister Keir Starmer while saying tariffs still “might happen”. “The UK is out of line but I’m sure that one, I think that one can be worked out,” he said. \n \n“Well Prime Minister Starmer’s been very nice, we’ve had a couple of meetings, we’ve had numerous phone calls, we’re getting along very well, we’ll see whether or not we can balance out our budget.” \n \nIn Canada, the department of finance published a list of US products imported into Canada that it will target with a 25% retaliatory tariff starting on Tuesday. \n \nThe list shows products that will be hit in the first round of retaliatory tariffs by Canada starting on Tuesday, and mounts to $30bn Canadian dollars’ worth of goods (about US$20bn). The impacted products include tobacco, produce, household appliances, firearms and military gear. \n \nCanada is also preparing for a second, broader round of retaliatory tariffs in 21 days that will target an additional C$125bn (US$86bn) worth of US imports. The second list would include passenger vehicles, trucks, steel and aluminum products, certain fruits and vegetables, beef, pork, dairy products and more. \n \nFILES-US-CANADA-MEXICO-CHINA-TRADE-TARIFFS<br>(FILES) US President Donald Trump speaks to the press after signing an executive order in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC on January 31, 2025. Trump is imposing steep tariffs on major US trading partners Canada, Mexico and China, with a lower rate on Canadian energy imports, said the White House on February 1, 2025. Washington will impose a 25 percent levy on imports from Canada and Mexico, with a 10 percent rate on Canadian energy resources, until both work with the United States on drug trafficking and immigration. Goods from China, said the White House, would face 10 percent tariffs. (Photo by Mandel NGAN / AFP) (Photo by MANDEL NGAN/AFP via Getty Images) \nTop Democrats warn tariffs will hit Americans hard as Trump says it’s ‘worth the price’ \nRead more \nClaudia Sheinbaum, Mexico’s president, said her government will provide more details on the retaliatory tariffs she ordered on US goods on Monday. Sheinbaum, in a statement on Sunday, said she will announce details on her government’s “plan B” as she insisted that Mexico “doesn’t want confrontation”. \n \n“Problems are not addressed by imposing tariffs, but with talks and dialogue,” she said. “Sovereignty is not negotiable: coordination yes, subordination no.” \n \n'Coordination yes, subordination no': Mexican president responds to Trump's tariffs – video \nSheinbaum and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau spoke by phone on Saturday after Trump’s administration imposed the new tariffs – 25% on goods from Canada and Mexico, with a lower rate of 10% for Canadian oil, and 10% on imports from China. \n \nTrudeau’s office said in a statement that Canada and Mexico agreed “to enhance the strong bilateral relations” between their countries. Canadian officials have had extensive dialogue with their Mexican counterparts, but a senior Canadian official said he would not go as far as to say the tariff responses were coordinated. \n \n“Now is the time to choose products made right here in Canada,” Trudeau posted Sunday on X. “Check the labels. Let’s do our part. Wherever we can, choose Canada.” \n \nTrump acknowledged the sweeping tariffs he has imposed on Mexico, Canada and China may cause “short term” pain for Americans as global markets reflected concerns the levies could undermine growth and reignite inflation. Asian markets, cryptocurrencies and US and European stock futures slumped in early Asian trading on Monday. \n \n“We may have short term some little pain, and people understand that. But long term, the United States has been ripped off by virtually every country in the world,” he said. day, Trudeau said: “We’re certainly not looking to escalate, but we will stand up for Canada.” However on Sunday evening, a senior government official from Canada briefing reporters in Ottowa on condition of anonymity said: “We will obviously pursue the legal recourse that we believe we have through the agreements that we share with the United States.” \n \nThe official said the Canadian government considered the move by Trump illegal and said it violates the trade commitments between the two countries under their free trade agreement and under the World Trade Organization. \n \n“If other legal avenues are available to us, they will be considered as well,” the official said. \n \nCanada is the largest export market for 36 states, and Mexico is the largest trading partner of the US. \n \nCanada and Mexico ordered the tariffs despite Trump’s further threat to increase the duties charged if retaliatory levies are placed on US goods. \n \nChina also said it would file a lawsuit against the tariffs. The imposition of tariffs by the US “seriously violates” World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, China’s commerce ministry said in a statement, urging the US to “engage in frank dialogue and strengthen cooperation”. \n \nFiling a lawsuit with the WTO would be a largely symbolic move that Beijing has also taken against tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles by the EU. \n \nThe commerce ministry also said the tariffs were “not only unhelpful in solving the US’s own problems, but also undermine normal economic and trade cooperation”. China has said it would take countermeasures to “safeguard its own rights and interests”. It is not clear exactly what form these will take yet. But for weeks Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning has said Beijing believes there is no winner in a trade war. \n \nLate Sunday night, Trump said he would speak with Trudeau on Monday morning and shortly after said he would speak with Mexico as well, although he did not specify that he would speak with Sheinbaum. \n \nBeyond the official response, people were already thinking of ways to cope with Trump’s decision, including by sharing suggestions on social media for alternatives to US products. \n \nCanadian hockey fans booed the US national anthem on Saturday night at two National Hockey League games. The booing continued on Sunday at an NBA game in Toronto where the Raptors played the Los Angeles Clippers. \n \nFrom left to right, Toronto Raptors forwards Bruce Brown, Scottie Barnes and Chris Boucher react as fans boo the United States national anthem before NBA basketball game action against the Los Angeles Clippers in Toronto, Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025. (Frank Gunn/The Canadian Press via AP) \nToronto Raptors fans boo US national anthem after Donald Trump tariffs \nRead more \nOne fan at the Raptors game chose to sit during the anthem while wearing a Canada hat. Joseph Chua, who works as an importer, said he expects to feel the tariffs “pretty directly”. “I’ve always stood during both anthems. I’ve taken my hat off to show respect to the American national anthem, but today we’re feeling a little bitter about things,” he said, adding that he will start to avoid buying US products. \n \nIn the streets, people in Mexico were trying to absorb the announcement on Sunday, although some in the capital acknowledged that they were unaware of the measures. \n \nIn the border city of Mexicali, across from Calexico, California, some people were concerned about the wider implications of a trade war. \n \nDriver Alejandro Acosta says that he crosses the border weekly in his truck to deliver vegetables to US companies. He said he fears US businesses in the Mexicali Valley will no longer want to operate in Mexico and they will move to the US. \n \n“If they raise taxes on the factories here, jobs may also decrease,” he said.

Canada has lost a whole decade of growth and prosperity with the trudeau liberals and made canada weak beyond belief. worst canadian government ever. Scrapping the carbon tax is step 1 in the right direction.
