The U.S. has zero credibility with it's historical allies right now. No country or it's leadership can take the U.S. at it's word in any treaties or trade deals with Donald Trump at the helm. His word is completely useless. It is pointless to enter into any kind of an agreement with the U.S. under the current administration.

They suppy the mexican cartels these drugs to make and sell which comes across Mexican borders into the US. If china regulated the precursor drugs it could stop fentanyl manufacturing in its tracks. Again 10% tariffs vs 25% tariff. There was a time that china cooperated & worked with the US on this but have since stopped.\nSo whatever is going on with the trump administration, it's clear by the numbers this isn't about fentanyl with Canada. Let's face it, the U.S. internal market is several times that of Canada.
