Still not enough. And too little way too late. Our small town convenience store is a total revolving door for East Indian ‘family members’. You get whiplash because every week or 10 days there is a new immigrant working there. Very poor customer service, and barely any English. Of course people get fed up! They NEVER hire local. There are lots of local older teens who can and would love to do those convenience store jobs. No following rules, no checks and accountability. It’s past being enough.

Enough laborers are here. The employers just want immigrants to exploit. I know highly skilled people who are applying for jobs and don't get hired while immigrants have 2 jobs. The govt has been either duped or working on an agenda. A lot of the managers, are East Indians and only hire their own nationality. Check all the supermarkets, hardware stores, fastvfood places. A master carpenter can't get hired bc he wont accept 25$/hr for a job driving 2 hrs each way. So they hire the immigrant Latinos. Too many Mexicanos since 2017, no visa required....

This is not enough...it should be reduced to 50% atleast. And all the indian students coming here on student visa r not here for studies but for PR. If there is no PR for them than they won't come

I find Indians in Vancouver bring their standard of driving or cycling on busy streets which is TERRIBLE and inconsiderate. \nI do not blame Indians. I blame the government. I moved here from Wales 5 years ago. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to many country’s around the world and I’ve honestly never seen anything like Canada. Most days don’t even meet Canadians. My boss is Indian, my land lord is Indian. I went to service Canada to update my driving licence and there was about 150 young indain students queuing up around the mall. When I’m lucky enough to strike up a conversation with a Canadian (born here) they seem beaten down and can’t believe the change in last 10 years…. Heartbreaking

I once came across colleague who arrived on study permit, went to construction jobs while on the permit, took advantage of favouring exchange rate in his home country, send all his savings there, bought a 4 acre land and gets healthy crops there enough for his family to live a lavish life making enough to retire at 30. When his study permit and associated work permit expired and he didn't qualify for PR in Canada as per point system, applied for asylum stating political unrest back home. His asylum was accepted. We who think they are poor are fools. He was only 27 and said he will retire at 30. But I doubt he will ever go back to his home country.? Canada is his gold mine. He was from Bangladesh. Trust me Indians dont go that far. There is no political instability in India and if to the contrary Indians are claiming asylum the system is truly broken.

My issues is that Canadians grew up with diversity, however now you walk into Tims, McDonald's, Walmart, etc., and you see no diversity, just 100% Indians in most places. Hardly any blacks, Asians, eastern Europeans, etc. It is also a matter of too many too fast, not enough time for them to integrate into Canadian society. As far as government, they are bringing in too many people without the infrastructure to support them, so they are taking away from Canadians of all races.

i think for the most part indian people are hard workers and i deffinatly dont dislike them as a whole but when you bring to many of one race to a country thats supposed to be multi cultural and alot of them refuse to adapt to canadian culture its going to cause issues. Even indians that were born in canada have had enough of it. the infastructure, housing, healthcare ect can simply not support it.

If you don't care enough to respect the country which you're living you're not worthy of staying in that country. As simple as that. You do not own this country or India for that matter, learn to respect the people and culture of the country you're staying in. Keeping aside Canadia's vices, we always have to remember that this land is our home for the number of years we're studying here. If you wouldn't do something it in your own home, you shouldn't do anywhere else. It's because of people like these all the Indians receive hate. People like me who genuinely care about education and respect the Canadian Culture suffer. I have always made friends since childhood with people from other countries or background. I just have seen so much changes with small local businesses having a complete change over and I wonder where all the staff that worked their for so long are all gone, and it's now all Indians. I truly do respect and made good friends, it's just so many Indians compared to anyone coming from other countries as well, and there should have been a limit as Canada just doesn't have enough housing, as the population was always low. The immigration file has been completely botched and mishandled by an inept and very stupid government. Mass immigration without a plan for increased housing, medical staff, infrastructure help, or even increased staff at immigration centres, etc. is madness, and chaos has ensued. I studied in India for several years, and was careful to respect Indian culture vis a vis dress codes, learning Hindi, and behaviour. It is only normal courtesy to do so. It becomes more difficult when numbers increase drastically over a v. short period of time since people coming here are not widely exposed to Canadian culture. This completely inept and corrupt government needs to go: like yesterday. I think of myself as anti-racist, but when I go for a medical test and see that 95% of patients appear to be of middle-eastern origin, while I haven't been able to find a family doctor for 10 years, I do get a little irritated. And I'm a boomer; younger people in Canada are competing for education, jobs, housing, as well as medical care, so I can understand people becoming angry. I think that currently this backlash is against the government, not immigrants, and not one community in particular. I am cynical enough to think that this government went for mass immigration because they have no economic plan for prosperity, and bringing in several millions would raise GDP. But percapita GNP has been falling for 8 quarters, so we are definitely in a recession. I think Trudeau did this so his economic incompetence would not be obvious. Anyway, that's my appeal: we should be upset at a government that caused this chaos, not at individual immigrants nor a specific community.
