but he’s NOT smart‼️that’s the whole issue. when will we call a thing a freakin thinggggg‼️he’s DAF… period
2025-03-04 0
I am not sure where the issue is. so, what happens when Tariff is raised the US people and importers are who will pay. So, if they need to buy they will pay. This doesn't make US reacher. Only lower sales by Canada, but if it's required goods then they will pay.
2025-03-04 0
Funny how when you stop letting countries take advantage of us there are issues! I stand with you America ??
2025-03-04 0
Very impressed with him. Very smart and articulate. Presentation of the issue very well articulated.

Do people actually think that Trump will tell the truth? He's the father of lies.\nDo people think that fentanyl is NOT made in the USA?\nWhy does the USA have SO MANY DOPE FIENDS??\n\nTo all republicans that voted for Trump and you have lost your job or are hurting....GOOD FOR YOU!!!! I wish things become unbearably WORSE. Trump showed ya'll during his first administration, ya'll saw what he did while not in office, and we WARNED ya'll but some way ya'll got amnesia. Basic elementary understanding economics will tell you that:\n1) Tariff is another tax on the people in the country that is issuing the tariff\n2) Cost will always be lower four years prior (except for the period near the great depression) than the current year.\n3) Did ya'll forget about the damage the pandemic did and how some merchants were price gouging...and Biden was going after price gougers?\n\nI could go on and on but I assume that if you didn't listen or pay attention for 8 years, you definitely aint listening to me.

Don’t let his BS fool you! Look around in your own communities. Look at the health care system. How many do you know that don’t have a GP so can’t get proper care even though they are sick. The ER tells us we have to have a general practitioner to get anything done! And then there are communities like on Vancouver Island that have closed ER’s in many cities leaving the injured to drive for 2 to 4 hours to the nearest ER. Have any Canadian citizens not heard of fentanyl deaths? Or had someone within 6 people from them have related addiction issues. How many homeless people wander the streets of your communities? This list goes on and on including things like affordable groceries , affordable homes , affordable utilities! \nACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS! Do Justin Trudeau and his parties actions over their term in office really covey their concern for Canadian citizens? I say NOT!
2025-03-04 0
I've taken issue with Trudeau's handling of several issues but he's been very impressive since Trump put him on the spot.
2025-03-04 0
This becomes a thing when companies that benefit refuse to pay it forward \nThey won’t eat the tariff \nThe public will \nSo it’s a class issue again ?
2025-03-04 0
I'm American and have Canadian friends and we as a country never had problems with Canada. Why create a issue when there was none to begin with. Insipid
2025-03-04 0
As a Canadian, there are lots of issues I disagree on when it comes to our PM, but he bodied this speech.

United States IS THE LARGEST AND MAJOR CONSUMER OF ALL DRUGS AND needs to tackle and investigate their very own government who benefits from this drugs deals which are the Americans consumer. They are the one who brings the drugs into this country by any means. So Mr trump deal this issue within which is your problem not the maker. Your Americans people are the one WHO brings it and consume it at their OWN risk. Start with your peoples.

Now the SHEEPLE will not focus on real issues of declining Infrastruture, Healthcare, Housing crisis, increasing govt. survillance, shrinking individual freedoms, rising inflation, declining standard of living, sky rocketting debt & credit card crisis, affordability crisis, joblessness, high unemployment rates, increasing govt deficiet (national debt) and the list goes on.. BUTpeople will bebrain washed to suffer & sacrifice more for this fake conflict between the ruling class on the two sides of the order and across the pond.

So strange to be a 66 y.o. American who will suffer the cost of these tariffs and still I'm in total support of you Canada. Please know most Americans do not want what Trump is inflicting upon us, our neighbors and international partners, nor do we believe this is a border issue. Grateful you're intelligent and a strong leader. Do not waiver.... hold your ground.
2025-03-04 0
If the Gov't of Canada issued citizenship to Musky, why can't the same gov't void/cancel his citizenship? Why put their people through the hassle of signing petitions?
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau is an idiot if he thinks Trump will back down. Did you know that Canada implemented 250% tariffs on Dairy products a few years ago? So, it's no wonder that Trump issued these tariffs. Go Trump.
2025-03-04 0
I think that Trump is far more dangerous than most people understand. He just bought the Panama Canal. He wants the soon to be viable NW passage. Add Greenland to the list… this has nothing to do with boarder issues. This is about him taking the trillion a year that these trade routs will give him and then giving Europe to Putin.

With Canada here...this is going to hurt US consumers and business more, and with inflation still an issue, this will only make things worse for us here. Where are our elected officials? Where are our Republican Senators and Congressmen? Why are they not speaking up for us the people??\nThis is a sad day for America!! Canada is our friend!!
2025-03-04 0
Trump managed to piss off Canada, a country that literally has no issues with anyone, like how do you do that? Canada is like the nice popular girl out of the popular girls group. Like she knows she’s pretty and popular but is humbled about it . And when her friends bully you, she stands up for you. Only trump can manage to piss off someone like that off. From Australia, we stand with you Canada!
2025-03-04 0
Even though we as Americans might disagree with President Trump, we have to stand firm on some things here, the way PM Trudeau came on here and reversed this tariffs on the US after all we done with this is still an attack on us, we have to think broader and wider, I am a 22 year retired Navy vet and seen how these countries treat us and we have been taken advantage of, it’s time we stand firm. I love my Canadian brothers and sisters, but this more a government issue here.
2025-03-04 0
Okay, so is Trump trying to make Canada easier for Russia to invade from the Arctic??? Arctic sovereignty has always been a contentions issue, and it could get even worse. To HELL with Trump and all of the MAGAts and gop.
2025-03-04 0
American ppl have created this monster ? and being honest w/u, they don’t know 2 get rid of it ?????. This is non sense issue ????
2025-03-04 0
Our tariffs won't be an issue. Canadians stopped buying american a while ago.
2025-03-04 0
You have to bring up the issue of NORAD. A Radar screen that has been protecting us for decades.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau open Canadian parliament to address this issue.
2025-03-04 0
Trump is such a fool. He just manufactured an excuse to put tariffs on. He likes to show he is a tough guy by inflicting pain on everyone. This fentanyl excuse is maddening. No other country has this issue. Drugs are illegal and no one is forced to take them. Take responsibility for your choices. No one should die but no one should take illegal drugs.

Did you know that since the beginning of 2022, housing, healthcare, infrastructure, and affordability in Canada. \n\n$10 billion could have built 30,000+ affordable housing units, reducing homelessness and rent prices. $5 billion could have expanded healthcare, hiring doctors and nurses to cut wait times. $2 billion could have Canada has committed approximately $19.7 billion in multifaceted support to Ukraine. Let that sink in.... $19,700,000,000 ?\n\nThis comprehensive assistance includes over $12.4 billion in direct financial aid, the highest per capita contribution among G7 nations, and $4.5 billion in military assistance, intended to be delivered through 2029.\n\nAdditionally, Canada has pledged a $5 billion contribution, with $2.5 billion disbursed recently and the remaining sum to follow soon.\n\nIf Canada had spent the $19.7 billion on domestic issues, it could have significantly improved\nsupported veterans and provided clean water to Indigenous communities, while $3 billion could have upgraded roads and public transit. Another $2 billion could have funded food programs and tax relief to combat rising living costs.\n\nRedirecting this money could have directly improved the lives of millions of Canadians, addressing urgent national crises instead of foreign aid for a fake war that the Ukraine can never win...
2025-03-04 0
We believe Mr. Trudeau is correct that the fentanyl issue is just an excuse to steamroll Trump's power onto the entire world.
2025-03-04 0
I am fearful for what Trump wants to do here. We should never be provoking our border countries. Seems like an act of war. Also, guaranteed we need to work on addiction issues in our own country. Fentanyl doesn’t just come from borders. And I am sure Canada hasn’t enough crossing from their borders that is hurting us! F T rump!

From America, the world really acts like we owe them something.\n\nWe get called imperialists when we help, cowards and weaklings when we don’t, we get reprimanded and shit on about how we should get our nose out of everyone’s business. The rest of the world seems to have a hate boner for the US yet can’t even be bothered to figure out how to not start new world wars, can’t even be bothered to take in and handle their own refugees, can’t even be bothered to help your own people.\n\nWe The People are growing real tired of our treatment on the world stage. Furthermore, we have our own issues. We have to focus on our own country and people, because as it stands many of us are struggling to figure out how to pay rent without picking up 2nd jobs or side hussle’s. Please understand this, we voted for Donald Trump. Flaws and all. He didn’t cheat or steal his way in. He isn’t a threat to democracy, or the stability of Europe. He’s and American president for America and if any non Americans wanna take issue with that. Then come get your citizenship and vote for it, but until then, stop crying about what America is doing and focus on your own country. Who knows, if you do your own country might actually be notable enough for you to understand my frustrations :)

Spain and many Spaniards always support Canada and people know the history and the reality. The Russian government is an oligarchy that only benefits itself by impoverishing and robbing the people. A perverse system that condemns Russians to live in economic and intellectual misery. If you don't agree with Putin and his friends, you unfortunately disappear...Russia is an irrelevant country, which boasts about issues it does not have, and lives off a miserable past from which it inherited those nuclear warheads to have so much relevance. Curiously, Russians do not want to live in their own country and you can find them from the Arab countries to the Costa del Sol in Spain fleeing the misery of their country.
2025-03-04 0
I don't think this is about drugs or border issues at all. This is about Trump wanting to rule an empire like his hero Putin.
2025-03-04 0
also .. Donald .. you really, really, really aren't a smart man at best you have some mental issues and we are sorry for that .. hope the medication helps
2025-03-04 0
Admirable speech. But don't you think that there's a lot of emphasis on the issue of border control?
2025-03-04 0
As an Navy vet what kills me is the U.S., Russia and Ukraine issued an historic Trilateral Statement that promised security assurances to Ukraine once the START I Treaty entered into force and Ukraine became a non-nuclear weapons state and a party to the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty. We as a country have allowed 700 THOUSAND people to perish because we didn't keep our word...it sickens me to no end.
2025-03-04 0
We have a 600 billion deficit to these countries in trade, and you said liberals are okay with this. You all have some serious issues.
2025-03-04 0
This is very scary. Again, what Trump is doing makes no sense - there is no economic or political sense to it. So what is he doing it for ?? To reduce our trade deficit? We have a huge deficit with Canada because we import so much oil from them, which our refiners require. On top of that we get Canadian oil for first cheap when compared to the global price mark for oil. This keeps US petroleum prices LOW! So okay if this is the issue, why not just find ways to improve the economics of U.S. oil production instead of smacking all Canadian imports with a 25% hammer ??? He has ulterior motives and it’s to weaken the American spirit and sell what he has on American to Russia. And our Congress isn’t doing anything !!!
2025-03-04 0
These aren’t even the reasons . Trump will lie that these issues are better to claim victory in the trade war. Trump is now a member of the axis of evil dictators.
2025-03-04 0
Canada's $63 billion trade imbalance is a bigger issue. your telling trump the last time he was in the white house you would be spending 2% of your GDP on the military by 2024. Now you say you will get to 1.8% by 2027. Open your trade. Like JD Vance said we can keep going up on Tariffs until you balance trade.
2025-03-04 0
We know why HE is doing this. He is pushing an imperialistic agenda, so he can be like those he admires. He's hoping that Canada will bend at the knee and give in so that he can claim Canada as a 51st state. But guess what? That won't happen. He's just doing himself and his country harm. He doesn't care about you, or me, or us as two countries that have always worked together. But we are setting up border security to keep American drugs, and weapons, and illegal migrants from coming into Canada. We're going to have to survive by reverting our trade to elsewhere, to depend on ourselves, to boycott U.S. products. We may be nice, but we are also tough. We love our society, our democracy, and our benefits. We won't give that up. Growing up, I lived in South Western Ontario, I used to go back and forth from Canada to the U.S. with no issues. Now, I'm sad to say, I won't ever be going to the U.S. again. Let's all hope for a brighter future for both countries.

Trump can’t enact tariffs without a national emergency so he CLAIMED border issues and drug trafficking as a justification
2025-03-04 0
Yes, but of course our PM assume that the cheetos actually is working for the benefits of the USA and not for the benefit of the people he owes money and favours to.\nIf the USA had a problem with fentynal and or migrants they should address it. Canada has nothing to do with USA internal issues.
2025-03-04 0
We don’t want this either Canada, at least not the majority of us. I’m sorry for the mess we’ve brought to you and hope our government can move swiftly to “correct” this issue that is the orange blob in the White House
2025-03-04 0
If Merica was not a nation of junkies, fentanyl would not be an issue!
2025-03-04 0
We name a competent anti drug tzar, they issue a pardon to the biggest drug dealer in humanity.
2025-03-04 0
We are sorry that the buffoon in the white house is causing issues we r truly sorry and we support you Canada

This is just a sampling of what happens when you elect an official do the highest office in the land while this individual Donald Trump is Holden s official position as dog catcher is out of his ability. The issue on fentanyl, is a intoxicant that will not and cannot be defeated. This is a total failure on the government's inability to protect its own citizens that is their number one job.. The only solution that I have heard that remotely makes any sense is the Cato institute conclusion that the wisest route to go is completely legalization with age restrictions. While this may not be the desired outcome it's the only one that I see that makes any sense whatsoever it seems that when a solution like this offered so many individuals who have no gravitas in this matter will come back to the same nonsensical bulshit that they're going to stop the flow that is absolutely impossible. However we will continue on that course and we will continue to fail. The Cato Institute was initially funded by the Koch brothers a extremely conservative organization that gets together a group of the brightest and the best in trying to determine what is the best solution.the Koch brothers were the group that invented the tea party I would love for anybody who disagrees with this post. I would like anybody who thinks that this is a far-fetched idea ,all I ask is that if you disagree with the finding that it should be legal with age restrictions if you disagree I would like to hear a solution that you have in mind that you think is better than the Cato Institute finding. I am under the impression that you do not have anything that remotely resembles a solution to this terrible problem. Right off the bat, with uality control, you'll stop hundreds of thousands of deaths. All of the issues that are being dealt with are just so screwed up because we've already been through this before. After making a constitutional amendment to ban the manufacturing of alcohol it was reversed and I hope that the country realize that we cannot win this battle with the same mindset. The only reason why fentanyl is such a dangerous intoxicant is because there's no quality control. Also the cartels are not affected negatively \nBy allowing the government deal with this problem. the end result would be not only do you save lives but you also have put a very negative Spike through their heart of the cartel in the pocketbook. Incense elan musk & DOGE cost cutting measures since this War on drugs has caused over a trillion dollars and no 6:28 results. The DEA does not remotely live up to its mission statement and has failed every year since that policy was put in place. I would love to hear any feedback and a solution that is remotely possible.. let's hear some original ideas that the country would benefit from.. the ball is in your court.

Listen Trump lied to Americans he said he don't know project 2025 fired our federal workers Americans are not to blame for Trump lies your issue is with him not the citizens once again he lied to us
2025-03-04 0
Whether you agree with his politics or not, aTHIS IS HOW A TRUE LEADER deals with something that affects their country. He’s not screaming, crying, and throwing a tantrum while laying on the floor. Good for Canada! I say don’t cut off the power but put a 100% surcharge on it. Give the extra cash to your people to help with any negative financial issues they may face.
2025-03-04 0
The drug and immigration issue is smoke and mirrors. Don’t buy into it. You have a narcissist who looks for issues to motivate his moronic followers. Who , by the way are for the most part well off and affluent.\nJust not well educated and not well versed on the problems of the World. \nMuch as I dislike my present Prime Minister…he is still my Prime Minister and not your Governor.\nHe is fallible because he is a caring human and a sympathetic leader who has tried to make it right for so many.\nCanada is a country of hope not a country of opportunity at the expense of others.\nOur leaders answer to us the people not to rich autocrats.
