These are fake students and equal participants in the biggest scam involving commission consultants, bank officials, and the fake diploma mill colleges. So please do not portray a rosy picture of higher education as these students can not even speak English properly. They are doing courses that hold zero value to get jobs that too from fake no credit colleges whose sole purpose was to make money with this scam. Whole ecosystem of corruption was created under this scam, there were even bank officials taking bribes to show enough funds in students account just by transferring money just for one day for students visa purposes. These students are acquiring no higher skills, but only filled the cheap labor jobs. They also lied to immigration officer that they have enough funds to live and will return to home countries after the course is finished. Rather, these students misused the local public services like food banks meant for poor people.

A senior dev in Bulgaria gets 2000-3000 NET. After taxes in Germany, well, he will get a little less. 2. Cost of living in Germany is much higher- rents, energy(because of green policies and taxes), services(because of costly labor), etc. \nImagine a budget of 1000-1500 eur to give you a nice apartment(400-500), bills, food and bars/restaurants 1-2 times per week. With a net salary of 2500 eur(average for qualified jobs in the capital) you can save 1000 eur or more with ease. With almost no illegals security, standard of living, etc is close to german. With german social security unemployed get more than many working people. All amenities, housing, etc., are provided to refugees using taxpayer funds. The money paid by taxpayers is meant to be used by those who made the tax payments. \n\nAll legal immigrants pay substantial fees and continue to pay taxes while they are employed, none of which has an impact on the economy. \n\nEmployers always give preference to Canadians with the necessary abilities over immigrants, even if the latter have higher skill levels. Despite having excellent credentials and expertise, I was not selected for any interview because I am not Canadian. Thus, give up lying and acting like the victim. Concentrate on the real issue. You are the preferred candidate for any employer if you are Canadian and meet the requirements.

As an Indian immigrant myself, I have tremendous sympathy for Canadians. \n\nThe so called diploma mills were always a danger but online classes during covid meant they could quadruple their attendance (and thus, their bottom line). The degrees offered by these colleges are worthless and that's why anyone who's moved to Canada in the last 4-5 years is finding it difficult to get meaningful employment.\n\nOn the other side, the Canadian dream really is sold as a cheaper and safer alternative to the American Dream. This is especially rampant in the state of Punjab where people from villages sell their ancestral property to move to Canada as students only to find the stalemate that is the job sector.\n\nThis in turn puts pressure on the economy, the housing market, and the welfare programmes. I think the immigration needs to halt for a while. A LOT of students are lacking in technical and linguistic skills to propel the Canadian economy and society forward and they'll need to not be given Permanent Residencies. PR should go to highly skilled immigrants who are integrating into the Canadian society instead of turning Brampton into mini India.
