I have a lot of sympathy for these people, especially considering many gave up everything they had to pay smugglers to get this far while our government was effectively letting everyone in while offering additional incentives such as money and temporary housing. I always keep upto date with FP news but this was so biased and failed to address the issue fully and accurately. Firstly, the economy of India or the foreign policies of India has little to do with the power of the Indian passport. According to that logic US, China and Russia should be the top 3 in the passport ranking - but it is not. @3:35 The logic is visible and the west does not need to explain it. It is the quality of the people visiting the western countries. There is a significant number of Indian citizens who would migrate without the intention to return. This fact unfortunately affects everyone holding an Indian passport. FP also needs to see that middle class in India is not at a middle class standard worldwide. I presume those countries which has slightly stronger passport than India has populations which are a tiny fraction of those wanting to travel with an Indian passport.

Well india now has more than 1 billion middle class people looking to travel abroad. Lots of countries cannot handle the sheer number of indian tourists. India gets more than 70% of the usa H1B Visas so it's already getting most of the world's Visas. Maybe Indians should stay home and support states like Goa that are suffering from a lack of tourists

This news is unfortunate but we cannot deny the fact that majority of Indians lack civic sense. The poor and the lower middle class who lack civic sense are not the problem. Sorry for the prejudice, but they rarely plan to travel abroad. The problem is with the middle class (and even rich) Indians who have the money to travel abroad but lack even basic civic sense.\n\nThis is very unfortunate, but I have seen this with my own eyes.

Indians travelling abroad should also need to have basic common sense. These middle class needs to have attitude adjustment and also have the plans to come back after the visit. Do not take travel visa as some sort of right to stay back illegally. Vacations should be spend in the right way, you book a hotel, for an example, do not try to take the amenities provided by hotel for their guest as some sort of right to take away things. Because of a few, the whole nation gets its reputation tarnished. Please talk about these issues as well.

India is 5th largest economy but the distribution is skewd. Rank is determined by number of countries you can travel visa free. If the countries starting allowing people without visa or allowing people with no money then they will go there and create havoc without any accountability! eg. watch dunki movie! There are too many Indians everywhere you go in the world, too many still trying to get out of India. Working in Canada at a fast food restaurant gives someone from India (Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow....) a better standard of living than a middle class living in India. States like UP, Bihar, MP, Rajasthan... still living in 18th century. Gujjus were the first to got out and then Punjabis and then everyone, they damaged the reputation of Indians a lot.

Most of the rejected visas could be tourist visas, who want to go there in disguise of tourists who actually propose to go as domestic or business helpers. Of course the visa fee is high. That could be discouraging point for many who want to go for just earning and also a source of income for those governments to compensate wages to be paid to their white workers to handle umteen number of applications.

Just stop applying for visas for any country. If you do this collectively, unitedly for a year or two, it will bring lots of countries to their senses. Born and raised in Canada. Grew up believing anyone could do well here if you apply yourself as an average person. Household income was higher then the USA and for the most part 'middle class life' was pretty attainable. Now I've had some bumps along the way that has nothing to do with this to set me back, but today I look at the 'make a life market' and the opportunities are none. You either own a home and are doing well, or your a renter going backwards every year because of inflation and the brain drain. Entrepreneurs have left the country. We as a country have not done much since the 1980's. We stagnated in The Boomers success and never made a future for their children. Then in the past few years, we have rampant immigration to add to the fire. Canada, for a lack of words is a Dumpster Fire. DON'T MOVE HERE!

Once I just searched on google masters degree from foreign country, i literally got 100s of adds for months about Canadian, australian, german and US universities, So if i will take admission in those unis after paying whole saving of my family i atleast want to have rights to work in that country otherwise why would i leave my country as i still have middle class life here. And also it's the responsiblity of any unis in the world that if anyone comes to your country for than they should atleast have right to work for the same number of yr as he spent in his course so that he can earn back same amout which he paid for the tuition fees, suppose if i does my Master's from US for which i have to pay atlest 80-100k including living cost and to earn back that same amount of money in the india from best paying companies will take atleast 7-8yrs it's just about getting same amount of money back in account and to make saving of that much money will atleast take 20yrs then tell me why should some go for education in foreign countires if he doesn't get chance to earn that back, College fees are usually decided on PPP terms of the freshers job in that country that why atleast giving chance for work for the same amount of time of the total course time is a good thing otherwise just stop sending adds, just stop scamming indians, and just close your billion dollor economy which works on fees of indian student. Even many african specially nigerian they qualifies to work in india if they did any of his degree from india.

The Canadian Government doesn’t care. Most Canadian politicians are home owners and have investments in the Canadian housing market. They don’t care because they have already obtained their own housing security. Why would they want to fix the market that they are comfortably secured into. They don’t feel the pressure that most Canadians do. The middle class no longer exists we are all struggling to get ahead.

That's an enormous shift in a very short period of time. In the US very divwrse large-scale immigration has been a well estblished pattern. Canad shifted from heavily Northern European immigration in modest numbers to enormous asian immigration in a few decades. It also seems that Canada taking educated, skilled migrants from countries with thriving middle class populations
