Only logical reason is that Trump is a Russia agent

CNN, is there a reason why you are not equally posting Mexico's response to Trump's tariffs? Mexico is the US'S number one trading partner, and these tariffs will equally effect US consumers. There are now apps that translate from Spanish to English, and subtitles in English that appear at the bottom of the screen. As have been done with other languages on your program

This is a move Trump himself didn't even want to take. He was forced to do so by the American energy sector. Trump wants america to become completely free of any foreign dependence. The only thing Canada has that the United States depends on is their energy for the Northern US. Trump has slashed regulations and opened land for American companies to start drilling and providing their own energy to the US. They decided against it for record profits. This will for e them to start drilling in the US by making it cheaper than getting energy from Canada. This has nothing to do with Russia. If it did, the US could get all the cheap oil and natural gas as he wants. Putin would give it to the US for free. Trump could careless about Russia or Putin. He wants american energy companys to start doing their jobs and provide energy to the american people at a reasonable cost. But all they are worried about is their record profits.

Canadians are smart enough not to waste our time seeking any reasonable discourse or mutual respect from lying welchers like Donald Jackass Trump. Same reason Zelensky won't waste his time seeking a ceasefire agreement with Vladimir Putin.

Don’t be fooled. Trudeau has tanked the Canadian economy through disastrous mismanagement during his 9 year tenure. Our debt has ballooned, inflation has neutered the Canadian dollar, we are taxed into oblivion, face an unparalleled housing crisis that is linked to foreign money laundering schemes to name a few reasons. If he had not handcuffed our energy sector with pipeline bans and crushing carbon neutral BS. diversified our customer base globally and promoted home grown manufacturing instead, we could deal better absorbing Trump’s ill advised tariff war. JT is the poster child for the globalist agenda (read WEF) and has been convicted of ethics violations in multiple instances. He’s an actor (literally) and virtue signalling fool. His stats regarding the fentanyl problem are laughable considering we inspect less than 1 % of the foreign containers passing through Vancouver. Trump has inadvertently handed JT a lifeline for the Liberals political future and he’s capitalizing on it. Don’t buy the BS. Think about JT’s political record and apply that knowledge going forward.

Trump is obviously transferring most of US assets in East and Southeast Asia. While we are seeing bad trade news after another, this is only focused mainly on Western countries.\n\nJapan and Taiwan recently pledging billions of USD as investments are one of the indications that Trump is relocating its financial and possibly military support to Asia. Philippines will also be conducting a meeting with him and I think he would have defense and economic deals with our country as well.\n\nCanadian and Mexican economies would indeed suffer while European security would be in danger with the US pulling out of NATO soon. But we are seeing an indication that the trade and defense assistance is being transferred to Pacific Asia for some reason. This would mean the economic repercussions would not bring down the US to its knees, but it would still be pretty significant early on since Asian markets would take a while to develop.

As an American, I am appalled by Trump’s actions. I, for one, agree that his reasons for imposing tariffs is a lie. I strongly disagree with his blatant disregard for America’s allies. There is NO justification for aligning the US with Putin. If he thinks Putin has our interests in mind, he is crazy! Before it’s too late, I hope that his cabinet, the house, and senate realize that they can no longer support a president who does not support our interests as a country.

I can't speak for all of us, but I didn't want this either. I didn't vote for Trump and this is one reason why.

The whole reason Trump is doing it is to try and crumble Canada's economy in hopes it deters Ukrainian aid.\nAnd ideally, Putin wants Trump to absorb Canada to cut Ukrainian funding out entirely from Canada.\nWhen you look at how Trumps actions help Putin, it becomes very obvious all the 2 IQ moves he makes.

Trump is trying to manufacture a pretext for invading Canada. Trump will soon state that due to Canada's illegal tariffs that are stopping the supply of strategic goods necessary for the security of the United States, he is ordering the US military to invade Canada to secure the supply of those assets. US military of all ranks, you have sworn an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies. Trump is a traitor, he is betraying his allies, he is betraying the Constitution, he is dismantling the system of checks and balances that are enshrined in the Constitution. Trump is the enemy, do your duty and stop him. You have the training, you have the weapons, you have the reason. Fulfil your oath.

This is what an intelligent, and reasoned leader looks like, and sounds like, USA you got Trump, how did that happen?

You cannot reason with a tiger when your head is in its mouth! Mange la merde, Trump! Sincerely, Proud and Pissed Canuck.

Let’s goo Trump we in for some serious entertainment ? why don’t you state how Canada pays less for US goods compared to the other way around. People act like Trump is doing this for no reason ? especially liberals who know nothing and I’m saying this as a moderate

Trump objective is to crush the US economy, to find a reason to stay in power beyond the 2 term limits. He does not care that our economy is crushed as long he stays in power.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Trump is unraveling democracy in the US. There is no reason to impose 25 percent tariffs on Canada. They are our friends. This is unbelievable. Trump is an abomination!!
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
The reason for this is Trump wants industry back in the US, and as long as people buy things from outside of the US cheaper, that's not going to happen. Thus the tariffs. That's what they're for, protectionism. Why he pretends it won't be bad for americans or that they won't be paying more for products, I don't know. Perhaps his way of preparing people for bad times. Or the wishful thinking bit he swears to. Whatever. But what sane person would build up an industry predicated on Trump being consistent and willing to stay the course? An industry that would fall apart like it's 1920 the moment tariffs end? I predict noone.\n\nI have some experience with Clark, he was an insightful man during his command in Europe. It should be concerning when he can't see a reason for these actions, for cozying up to Putin and alienating allies. There's no end goal here that is in the US' interest. Trump's cabinet is not interested in this sort of thing, they are domestic dilettantes. There is no 4D chess. So what is the deal? Is it just his anger at Zelensky for not investigating Hunter Biden during the election? It seems... a bit too much for that, despite Trump being known as extremely spiteful.
|

The tariffs are on all countries importing into the U.S. \nYou either build in the U.S. or have higher tariffs, it’s a strategy to build more business and jobs in the U.S. \nFixing the U.S. economy that is $36 TRILLION in Debt, while cutting off foolish spending in USAID. Do you have a problem with that?\n\nThe decision to befriend Russia is not cause Trump is pro-Putin, but to end a war Zelenskyy wants to continue for years, an utterly unnecessary war where thousands are dying for no reason, and billions spent on war when you can spend it on building up the economy (we already gave Zelensky 300 BILLION of our taxpayer money and Ukraine isn’t winning). The goal is to end unnecessary dying and to prevent WW3 nukes flying. Only complete fools think playing games with NUKES is a good idea, pointing a finger at you NATO!\n\nWhen NUKES fly, we are literally f…..ed!!!!

this isnt stupid at all, Trump has vested interests, it could be short sales of commodities, metals, stocks, derivatives in markets in the affected tariff countries. These investments will be carefully veiled to avoid detection by the SEC, however, he's not stupid, he is incredibly selfish. And republicans apploauding and justifying his behavior, saying he deserves the nobel peace prize should be ashamed to call themselves Americans. There is a special place in hell for those that stand neutral in times of moral crisis, but most republicans are shamelessly bootlicking this new world Nazi and his deviant lackey JD Vance. From selling Bibles to Bitcoins, Its pretty apparent Ukraine rare earth potential is probably the reason Putin and Trump have aligned.

This is the type of speech hard to listen to, the type of speech you need to give to a country about to go war, make no mystake, thats what this is, and this is also the type of speech that shows who is and who is not fit for leadership, Trudeau you made mistakes when you were younger, but who didnt, but you sure matured to be a leader who can make people follow you from youre words alone, im glad we have a president in south america with such caracther on the side of reason and peace, with all the doomlike scenarios i conjure from seeying Trump pulling the USA to side with Russia and only imagine russia joining nazi germany just to get also screwed as soon as russia gets the chance and trump is clueless about it, youre speech eased my mind a bit, thank you and thank you to all the people of Canada

Trump started a trade war with our best friends for no reason at all. Canada has always been a good trade partner. They've never wronged us in any way. Trump is disgusting.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Yes this weasel is the reason canada is in this predicament, Trudeau stopped pipelines from being built ,based on the lie of climate emergency, now he will shift the blame to Trump.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Trump is creating a reason for an invasion.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Trudeau is a WEF puppet. A tariff war between Canada and the U.S. is ridiculous to begin with, and it will certainly have negative consequences for the U.S., but much more so for Canada. Let's face it, the U.S. internal market is several times that of Canada. Many businesses in Canada exist only because of their trade with the U.S. The same is not true for the U.S. Trudeau can paint whatever picture he wants to Canadians, but the Trump administration is not made of fools and they are very much aware of the reasons they have for having enforced the tariffs.

The Hermit Kingdom of America. Trump is making Trudeau sound like a reasonable person. Unbelievable!
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
I served alongside Canadian military when I served in the US military. They were very tough, honorable, and outstanding professionals. I have friends and family from Canada, and they love America. This trade war is so sad and so devastating for so many Americans and Canadians. These tariffs are so stupid, it's beyond reason. Trump is treating America's best friends and allies like enemies! This is not only dishonorable behavior by a US president, it is despicable!

Even with every ridiculous thing Trump has claimed or done and despite his love for Pukin and Russia, there are relatively 'normal' people in the u.s. who think he's sane and doing great, one reason I've heard being 'There's less Mexicans around'. I ask again, can anyone in the u.s. aim straight? If so, your failing country needs you.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Fentynayl? Thats the reason? From Canada? Youve got to be fucking joking. They probably get more Fentynayl from by way of the US then vice versa.\n\nHow much mote delusional does trump have to be for his supporters think rationally for once?

The only reason Donny is siding with the russians is because putin and his people have something on Donny and Donny Trump doesn't want it to come out because its going to be truly embarassing for Donny, his family and the american people. Mark my words we'll all find out someday.\nReally. They probably have video tape of him
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
????? I hope Americans are listening to him. There is no reason for the trade war Trump started and how Americans will suffer financially. Trudeau is correct in this only helps our enemies.. Russia and other countries who want to see us fighting with each other. What Another sad day for America again. Not feeling great.

We voted for Trump for a reason. That it which we as a Country need to stand up and be Great Again. Other countries have been getting away with allot of things, now it’s time for it to end. Thankyou Mr Trump for making America Great Again!
|

If anyone is wondering about the reason of Trump's tariffs: Tariff is source of revenue for the government which is not based on salary. The rich and the poor of the USA will pay the same amount of it for a specific product. This revenue will then serve the US government to decrease the income tax, which is based on percent of revenue (i.e higher income people pay much more taxes). The tax cuts means those with higher revenue will get to keep more of it. So at the end of the day more of the governments revenue will come from those with lower revenue. Thus unfortunately widening the gap between the rich and the poor.

He's fantastic...THIS is what a TRUE leader looks like MAGA...he inspires his citizens to work together and that's what makes their country GREAT.\nDonald Trump has purposefully worked towards dividing American citizens from day ONE, for the simple reason of his GREED for money and lust for power, and it's laughable that his slogan is 'make America great again' because anyone with a moderately functioning brain, knows that an extremely divisive country will NEVER be 'great'.\nHell...with trump as your leader...you're barely even functioning thus far, after his 'leadership' of a few weeks. God help you all after a few months, or YEARS!! What a FOOL.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
We need a leader like this! There is no legitimate reason for the tariffs. I now believe Trumps goal is to annex Canada. At first, I thought it was a joke, but not anymore. Stand with Canada, Ukraine and Mexico!
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Finally a reasonable discussion and response. Trump needs to stop the chaos and forge strength. We need to support our allies and fight against dictators like Putin.

Have you ever wondered why the Roman empire and the Egyptian empire imploded. We are watching the reason. Trump and his white supremacy cabinet is garbage
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
This is an intelligent, reasonable, and articulate leader of his country. Here in the USA, we have an immature psychopathic narcissist at our leader. Thanks, Trudeau, for clarifying what Trump is doing to our country and to our closest friendliest ally, not to mention the damage he is doing to our international relations.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Thank you Mr. Trudeau. We reasonable Americans appreciate our good neighbors in Canada. I'm willing to suffer in order to get rid of Trump.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Now this is how an intelligent and reasonable leader gives a speech! I know Trump doesn't understand how tariffs work, but how can other Republicans in Congress agree to starting trade wars with our closest allies? Russia and China probably can't believe their good fortune. Trade wars with your allies, Trump crapping on NATO and then hanging Ukraine out to dry. How is this allowed to happen? Things are going to get much, much worse.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
You are the reason we are in this position, don’t blame Trump for your poor leadership, you are a terrible Priminister probably the worst in history just like Biden you need to go , you are a enemy to the Canadian people.

Canadian are reasonable and polite, Trump is evil, rude and coarse. His only gods is Mammon, greed and him self.

American here,in full support of President Trump. Someone needs to be the bad guy and fix the globalist corruption. I personally never listen to or watch CNN. Canada is in a economic and cultural downfall for a reason. I have never supported Castros Bastard son, Trudeau. I love real Canadians and believe Canada would be much better as a US Territory/ State and hope they get rid of this weak little boy.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
In my mind, the best case scenario is that trump and his regime are lacking the ability to think long term strategically. The worst case scenario is that they are throwing grenades at the status quo, to create fake reasons to allow for expansion of US territory and make space for china and russia to do the same.

I’m just so sad and that the current american administration is trying so hard to make us hate each other! \n\nWhen things get bad, in a couple of weeks or months for both of us. Trump and his media Will absolutely blame Canada, not just for trying to defend itself, but for all of it. He Will try to make americans hate us so much so he can get something out of it and thats so wrong.\n\nI have so many memories of traveling to the US and meeting great people there. I don’t want it to end and I want to remember that most americans are our friends, good people who don’t wish harm to others.\n\nI really Hope reason and good people Will prevail, I Hope je won’t bête allowed to continue down this path for long, I Hope the congress or anyone will stand up for whats right. Courage!

I am Canadian, and this clown speaking is reason for downfall of Canada, financially and socially and most of country wants him out..But yes tariffs on Canada are absolutely ridiculous and will harm both nations..Canada more..and Trump knows this
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
This doesn't make any sense to me at all this another reason for trump doing all this is so simple he wants Canada to become 51 state this man is delusional
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Going to be interesting to listen to Trump lying to Congress tonight. His only other option is to avoid talking about tariffs. And the big question: will Congress wake up tonight and start asking questions about what Trump is doing and why (the real reasons)? Lastly, why the big hurry to cozy up to Russia? What is in that for the USA?
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Trudeau’s a liar. He once said confederates were causing trouble in Canada.\nTrump is trying to broker a peace deal. You have to use diplomacy with Putin.\nCanada always had tariffs on the US. Trump tariffs are for a reason.\nYou should have dropped your tariffs you always had on us.\nBy His own admission He did not increase the number of fentanyl stops.

Trudeau you are a wise reasonable person who loves his country and care of others. Trump is a horrible president, and a very stupid person on many levels. Thank you Trudeau to speak the truth and stand up for your honesty …Thank you..
