It is immoral to use the Canadian immigration system to suppress wages and inflate housing cost’s of home and apartment rentals. \n\nCountry’s that have population’s of close to a billion people, need to step up, and better develop their own economy’s and education institution’s. Stop with the expectation that country’s like Canada, should always carry the burden and responsibility, to educate a continual portion your one billion citizen’s, or your even your hundred million citizens. No good can come from Canada, continually carrying that load. \n\nIt isn’t about being anti immigrant or being racist, that isn’t the issue. It’s about being fare and cognizant of the people in Canada, who aren’t just passing through. There are people that came here to stay, and whose ability to rise, is being stifled and sabotaged. What’s baffling to me is the United Nations development program hired my dad to train local people in turkey and Bahrain for welding. To stop foreign workers from coming into their countries and taking jobs away from local people. I wonder if the United Nations should hired my dad in Canada to train Canadians so that foreign workers can’t come in a take jobs away from Canadians. I guess our governments aren’t smart enough to contact the United Nations For help in resolving that problem.

I have met a lot of Indians both good and bad. When you go to a store or somewhere you have this race of people who won't speak Canadian language, unless it's absolutely necessary. God forbid if you say to them they should speak English ior French in Canada, you are always called racist. When you hear of a murder of drug raid, it's almost always an Indian name. Hell, when you are cut off in traffic, well as you said in ithe beginning they look like you, not me. I'm a Canadian living in the UK and can say two things - 1) if the West would stop bombing/exploiting/waging proxy wars in so many countries and displacing millions of people, this wouldn't be an issue. Stop funding war and pressure your reps to focus public funds back into your community. 2) The exploitative housing market has everything to do with corporate greed. We need to hold government and capitalism to account not immigrants. Blaming humans for wanting to survive is insane.

There are a lot more reasons to leave Canada other than the insanely high cost of living, which comes from inflation, a hidden tax, the higher crime or greater drug use. In my experience, there has always been a feeling in Canada against immigrants. This is generally among the working class. \n\nIn the early 1990s I was doing a lot of work in Canada for a US tech company. I am an American, by the way. One time I was working with a Chinese Canadian engineer, who worked for the client company. We went to the loading dock to check on the equipment from my company, which had just arrived. The native Canadian loading dock workers were openly making racist slurs about the Chinese engineer, right in front of him. He was very careful not to respond. I asked him about it later, and he just waved it off. This was in the Toronto area. I was also warned about Chinese who were involved in organized crime in the city. Then, a few days later I saw it in downtown Toronto. Two Chinese men in a Mercedes had stopped on the road and pulled a woman out of the car and started threatening her. It was a tense situation. \n\nOften it is the government types that welcome the immigrants, for various reasons. Canada does indeed have a demographic problem. \n\nThis is not the 19th and early 20th century in Canada or the US or Europe. Today we have extensive social safety nets. This means taxpayer dollars. In the earlier times the immigrants had to fend for themselves. Even then, there would be feelings against the immigrants. At least in the US it was a time of rapid economic and geographic expansion. Not so anymore.

I'm a Canadian citizen. And I think it's the time when Canadian & US governments must think to build a border wall on the Northern border. Landlords are taking advantage of supply and demand and over charge people. People I guess are saying F you! Were in a housing crisis and there are human rights laws . Properties owners stop working and start relying on the rental incomes and as we know the post covid19 economic situations of the whole world is so bad so with those rental incomes Canadians properties owners couldn't make their living anymore the way they where living comfortably before covid19 so they start blackmailing their government and blaming new immigrants. sometimes people rent out their properties and living in the shelters near to their properties. As a Canadian myself, what I don’t understand is why the heck would you want more people in country when 1 some places in Canada don’t have clean water, 2 rent/taxes are just way to high to sustain two people for food. Brampton and Surrey near Vancouver have become mini-ethnic enclaves of Indians, especially from the state of Punjab. When I moved into Brampton initially, 10 years back from India, I was shocked that the main language spoken here is Punjabi and not English ! There was nothing Canadian about this suburb anymore, it just looked like an overseas part of Punjab. That's why I moved out of Brampton within a few months. Even Indian immigrants are now appealing to the current government of Canada to stop this mass and unregulated immigration. This has already ruined Canadian culture and society !

The construction industry has seen an almost 4,000% increase in immingrant workers. Lowering our rates, wages, producing sub par products and making it more dangerous. This idoocracy has to stop! The government needs to focus on reducing insurance costs for cars and homes, and property taxes should be cut by 50%. Also, cities and towns should stop wasting money on unnecessary projects, and Canadian contractors shouldn't be charging double for the same projects as those in the states.

Send all the illegal immigrants back where they came from. Those that want to stay need to apply for legal immigration, must be properly vetted, pledge allegiance to Canada, become Canadian, leaving hatred from their previous country behind, and cannot stay here while they wait. A moratorium on all new applications for at least 10 years. This way the back log of legal immigrants can be dealt with. Stop all new international students, put a moratorium on it for at least 10 years, stop all temporary and permanent workers. All loopholes used to illegally get into the county must be stopped. This will reduce the cost of illegal immigration and solve a large portion of the lack of housing. No more government subsidies to pay for foreign workers. This will open up entry level jobs for young Canadians. No more government subsidies for anything for immigrants. If they need government support then no, you are then disqualified from coming. No more abuse of our Canadian social programs.

Canadian immigration is the biggest scam on planet earth. Everyone is involved: the government, the immigration lawyers, the colleges (diploma mills). So blaming the students is not fair. Canada is taking in to many immigrants from (India,China,Philippines,Africa and other nation) which will force Canadians out of a job and created cheaper labour that under estimated the standard of living. Instead of blaming these people, one must question their own government authorities who make the rules and legislation to facilitate this. Maybe it's just the truth of a desperate Canadian economy that needs immigrants to keep fueling the 'aging' Canadian economic engine. These people come in and work hard, odd jobs (not to mention the exceptional skilled ones as well like Doctors, health care workers etc.) which the regular Canadian wouldn't do. I've been in Canada for 2 years without a Family doctor. Thank God, the last 10 different Doctors I met were all fresh immigrants and came to my rescue. Ask your conscience, without these immigrants, you wouldn't be getting your late night coffee at the time Hortons drive thru, no one to take your blood works without you waiting several months in waiting, no ways for universities to subsidize tuition fees for the poorer Canadian students. If immigrants stop coming in, the nice detached home you live in will go down in value, the nice truck you drive will become more expensive, your kids University tuition fees will sky rocket, Canadian companies selling groceries, furniture, etc. Will have lesser revenue and eventually get eaten up be American giants, Canadian companies won't have cheap labour to build those much needed housing. \nNot only question your government, but also question your 'own' people.. Where are they to serve you? Where are the so called patriotic 'original' Canadian Doctors'? They are off to US to earn more money. U think they care enough for their home country?\n If Canada won't, somebody Else will accept these people. Hence get rid of ur ego and attitude, it's YOU that needs immigrants more than they need you ?? \nLastly, don't forget your ancestors too arrived here in ship loads from Europe as immigrants, taking away the land belonging to the native Indians who were slaughtered and today live as prisoners in reservation lands... on their own soil. Based on all of this, it sounds like you are arguing that capitalism has failed in Canada. Corporations have built huge monopolies and are gouging Canadians, and investors are buying up every home/condo they can, instead of letting average people buy them up. It also sounds like you're arguing that the government hasn't done enough to stop it. \n\nCanada certainly has its share of issues, but I don't agree with the tone of this, which is mostly Conservative Party talking points. If they were running things, they'd have let mergers go on and signed bad trade deals with countries, just like they did between 2006 and 2015. The Liberals have made a lot of mistakes, but they also weathered the largest financial and health crisis in the last hundred years. I'm not sure what the fix is, but arguing that the Conservatives would have done any better is specious.

The government is to blame 100%. They must stop bringing people into Canada. Sort out the housing crisis. Create more jobs, and let the Canadians and legal immigrants perform. Once they are done with PGWP, if the country doesn't need you, they must go home.

Most of these international students belong to the sikh community from northern india (punjab). Not all indians are like this, mostly sikhs because they are large scale fraudsters. India even asked the Canadian government to extradite these criminals back because most of them (khalistanis) are wanted in India for criminal charges...Canadian gov let them in and gave them safe passage. Hardeep singh nijjar and indian student link is all connected to sikhs - who are well known troublemakers in India. The only solution is cap the # of sikhs coming in, check for fraud and stop voting for jagmeet singh/khalistanis (who are not looking out for canadian interest but rather for khalistan interest).

Canadian companies are the problem as well. They pretend they can't find Canadians to work (been experiencing this since 1976) and then hire temporary foreign workers, and the illegal immigrants. The Canadian business owners then get Canadian government grants and subsidies from 50% to 70% to cover the temporary workers wages and more than likely when they hire illegal immigrants as well, along with kick backs for providing housing. Canadian companies also pay those workers under the table, especially in the hospitality industry, and lay off Canadians and keep the temporary foreign workers and pay them under the table. Now if the Canadian government would offer grants and subsidies when Canadian companies hire Canadians, more Canadians would have full time jobs with livable wages. The Canadian government has to stop allowing foreign entities from buying Canadian businesses as they only have to hire 1 Canadian. After that the foreign entities who bought Canadian businesses are allowed to bring in as many of their workers as they want. That has to be stopped as well.
