We have our own problems we have to deal with. We can not worry about ours and you just expect us to take you in. Why is the government lowering standards and allowing too many students with fake credentials to enter the country? Does anyone know the real number? This is not a competitive market – these students work anywhere, anytime, for any salary, just to apply for PR. \nAfter a few years, they start sponsoring their entire village to come here. Is the government ready to absorb all these communities with all social implications? The second and third-tier schools that turn a blind eye to this issue, focusing only on enrollment and revenue, should be held accountable for the mess they have created and should take responsibility for accommodating all students with fake credentials and remove the pressure on the housing market. \nThe scholarship mafia creates chaos and others are left to fix the mess.

Isn’t embarrassing that these people from these Latin American countries don’t attempt to try to fix their own countries without this insanity of being born in Latin America and then they see no future in their bewildered countries and the only way to fix their existential situation is to cross the southern border illegally to go to America? Hi everyone, I'm just going to weigh in some experience here. These people have given up on their government to fix things. They had it good before when Venezuela was wealthy not so long ago. They want that back. Who wouldn't. They want a chance at a better life . They have in most cases already sold all possessions for traveling money and bribes or security. They are scared and tired of traveling. They got told to come to America by someone. I wish we could afford as a country to take them all and it be ok and they build a good life here. I wish it was like that. The system we have needs work for certain. The USA is being overwhelmed by too many coming. We have to slow the roll . But it's a bad situation for all involved. They will look for an illegal way if needed to make it. Hence the cartels step in and offer a way in exchange for money or drug smuggling and the trouble gets worse. There is no simple solution here. Rough on everyone.

Its corporate greed which has trickled down into all areas of life. Rents, property values etc etc. No government can fix it in a democracy because capitalism gives greed the platform. Record profits during covid says it all. Recessions give a partial temporary reboot and depressions are devastating and take a long time to recoup from. I live in a rural small town, retired, own my house and debt free . Low property tax and affordable housing and rents but in the Maritimes. Cities are the worst to survive in. I feel for all that are struggling but Canada is a great country and better than most but one must be willing to relocate to areas that they can afford to live in and still have steady work.

We can help them fix their country. Much more logical. They love their country but it sux so let's help them fix it.
