I do hope that Canada, EU and Britain will work together, there is no reason Britain and EU cannot replace America as the main trade partners and I have seen plenty of other videos about other asian countries indicating interest in Canada's trade.\n\nBut this is much more than just tariffs, Trump has really gone off the deepend siding with Russia and undermining Ukraine, even undermining the sanctions, I wouldn't be surprised if he is already trading with Russia, using whatever bizarre pretext he chooses.\n\nThese should already be red flags to Canada, there is a long standing relationship with the UK and Ukraine, but Canada is only reacting on the tariffs, which detracts from what other action they might have taken.\n\nThe imposition of these tariffs should be the straw that breaks the camels back, I hope that if America repeals these tariffs that Canada will still diversify so that they don't ever end up in this situation again.

I am really sad to see Canada slide. The USA is loaded with 20th Century industrial equipment that still works. Industry really is important to countries with plenty of resources, as Americans are finally realizing.\nToo bad that Canadian agriculture is such a small part of its economy. I live in nyc getting on the bus and subway is horrible seeing these illegal people dress better than working people sending thier money back to thier countries they get more help than those who live here I worked in a homeless shelter caught a horrible parasite infection which I'm still fighting I can't work welfare refused to help me with rent electric they denied me immediate help gave me 71 dollars every 2 weeks in cash and 290 in foodstamps I can't pay electric with that let alone rent phone internet other bills etc meanwhile these people get iPhones new sneakers clothes thousands in cash upon arriving thousands in foodstamps health insurance etc free rent free everything but I can't get help I had a broken ankle they wouldn't even move to let elderly or disabled sit on busses and subway they disrespect the rules workers people in stores I witnessed for myself

Please stay away from Canada I moved here and I regret it every day. I'm a citizen through my parents and getting my certificate took YEARS which stopped me from being able to go to school or work which means years of my adult life wasted that could have been put to much better use for something that wasn't even my fault. I also lost good opportunities too because of it!!!! Not happy especially since I genuinely needed the money. I won't forgive Canada for that. Also everything here is really expensive and the selection is just not very good. Also work opportunities are not as good as in the US. Anyways I finally got my certificate and got my life started up again just over 2 years ago, but I still often think of returning to the US after just being here for 4.5 years. I now warn some of my US friends not to go to Canada just for the hype if they mention it. I also know of a friend who moved here and left after 1 year, they came to hate it here.

tyler i don't think u realize how bad the usa education system really is. i'm canadian but have lost count of the number of usa teachers who have complained about how bad they are held back from teaching kids properly, how kids can't be failed or held back, how kids graduating gr 12 can't read or write past gr 6 level. in fact recently there was a statistic put out that something like 60% of ALL americans cant read or write past gr 6. considering all your universities that is terrifying. not to mention with gun violence, straight up violence among kids and at teachers, the disrespect and the severe lack of good parenting, kids are not being educated at all. u yourself have done videos on where someone interviews americans and asked them questions about canada and they haven't got a clue. not one clue. yet canadian kids are regularly taught all about their american neighbours. are kids know more about america then american kids do and thats shameful. u need to do some research on this because unless u live in a rich gated elite community and go to private school the public education system in the usa is very dismal and woefully inadequate. \nalso he's right about politics. here we can discuss it rationally and then move on to other topics. in the states ppl are shooting ppl over differences in politics. beating ppl up trashing their cars and property etc. and many police are definitely not presenting themselves with professionalism tons of racism going on. and so many police because everyone is armed. here in canada we are not allowed handguns and pretty much ppl only have hunting rifles. it takes a lot of work and clearance not to mention time and money to take the necessary classes and get the necessary permits to even own a hunting rifle. in the usa show a drivers license and wait 10 days u have a handgun no matter how mental u are. therefore u need way more police than here in canada. i think u have a well to do upbringing so u have not and do not see the true picture of the america u live in. \nalso i have talked to many american friends who had insurance and still cost them about $5000 per birth of a child. with good insurance and working full time. so thats about average. here in canada u pay nothing except maybe parking for hubby while he visits.

These students can't complain about the student fee, Housing , food and living cost .\n\nU can blame trudue for lowering the standards for student visa. \n\nTo my knowledge from friends i know as students durring high-school vs students coming to study at college. \n\nPrior to this issue these a few mandatory requirements \n\n- parents most make over 200 k usd , and assets .\n\n- you must have xxx amount in usd dollars equivalent in your bank account and open a HSBC bank account with xxx amount \n\n - u must show you can afford for your child to stay at a mandatory homestay , all the associated cost staying and studying in canada for min 3 years \n\nJust passing the first 3 requirements, most ppl get rejected. \n\n- most leave the home stay due to culture differences and end up renting a 1 bed room condo. \nThat alone back in harper days was 20 k a year.\n\nMind you these students i met are from Vietnam, a 3rd world country where a university graduate with 2 degree will make only $500 usd which is consider a very good job . Its equivalent to5 k / month . \n\nSo thier dollar isn't worth much , for their parents to have that much money to send a 15 year old to study hs in a foreign country is a luxury only a selected few can dream of\n\nAlso none of them worked and work permit wasn't allowed. Even they were allow why would u when ur parents give u their debit card ~ visa card with allowance of 2- 3k to spend .\n\nInwould say 25% of these rich students go home within a year as they get home sick.\n\nToday standards\n\n- not many come as high school students as it's alot harder and still up hold strict standards as their still a minor. \n\n- college is easier route\nOnly have to prove u can afford the 1st. Year of study \n- a place to live\n- your parents can support you while ur here \n\nSo some one in India is faking the documents so they can come over strictly to work and pay for school and living cost. \n\nThis is why we have this problem. They do jobs like research and other medical field related things. There's also a large number of Indian students in colleges too. The reality is the newer generation will have to work harder to get the things the last did, because the last generation is still there. Just within the past two weeks FEMA spent over $500 million to provide luxury hotels for illegal immigrants yet a few weeks ago they were still claiming that they didn’t have enough money to help American citizens who suffered catastrophic loss during recent hurricanes and wildfires. The simple fact that Democrats got more upset that Elon Musk bought Twitter than they are, that their own political party in government for the past four years, has literally been holding them at gunpoint and forcing them to pay taxes so that they could steal it or launder it into their own campaigns and pockets is literally disturbing! WTF!!!! If any of those other federal agencies are ran or funded the way U.S. AID were, with the massive corruption, misappropriation, fraud and theft of taxpayer funds, then I hope DODGE goes through an completely audits, every single federal agency in the United States. No wonder the Democrats are freaking out the way they are, if the Republicans got caught this bad with their hand in the taxpayer cookie jar, then you know the Democrats would be screaming a different tune. If my delivery was on time & I was courteous & friendly I'd maybe get a tip Sometimes a really good tip! & I myself almost stopped getting deliverys To my home Cause everytime lately I was told! To tip! Not asked! Told to! & after a few times of using my debit & being told to tap a tip It started rubbing me the wrong way! So after more than a few times Of that happening I now started letting my girlfriend answer the door As she very rarely tips Unless our food came At a very reasonable time & if the driver was courteous & friendly & also cause She is not shy about saying I'm not tipping you! I work hard for my money! You took way to long! Or! If our food came cold! Cause you're very late! So if the bag wasn't still warm She check what'sa inside that paper bag & if it was no longer warm No tip was given! So if you want to deliver hot food Make sure! That you come on time & you have more than enough change + having enough change Helps get you your tip Cause common sense rules! Duhhhhhhhhh! & that's my tip to you Always carry more than enough change Or Not! The decision is yours to make As I always made good tips While never asking for a tip + I was always on time Never taking 4 orders I'd take 3 or less & I always made sure To thank that person as well Who just tipped me Soooooo haaaa! For those here on the Chat that don’t own rental property I’m here to tell you that this is 150% REAL. I know I know I know I know I know I know everyone is saying if she owes how could she possibly still be living in the unit???? New laws, slow courts, uninterested judges, unfair policies have caused landlords to suffer at the will of deadbeat TENANT. 1year Before Covid hit, I had one tenant starting to slow pay, during Covid not one cent after Covid not one cent! TENANT works a job, but still doesn’t pay the rent back-and-forth to court, continuous legal fees on my end. We just got her out the beginning of 2025!!!! ? trust we were ready to set the building on fire if we didn’t get that eviction letter this year!! Rather lose the entire property than to allow a person living inside it to live freely, and here’s the kicker she totally destroyed everything \nhoarding and intentionally damaging the floors and walls. Now we have to gut the entire unit to make it presentable for another tenant however, just not excited about renting to anyone else anymore. This experience has completely taken the wind out of being a landlord. And yes, this person was properly vetted, credit check and everything.

Well nothing like that, I live in Canada and can verify that. Problem is quality of immigrants, especially student is trash in Canada, Australia and Europe. They come to shady universities for studies, work full time both legally and illegally rather than studying and at end of their education, they have a fake degree with zero value. Just like most of the new graduates in India who have a degree with no practical value. \nIf you have a good degree, right skills in tech and some experience, there are tons of opportunities in Canada. I cuss Canada everyday but that's because I lived 10 years of life - studies and work in USA. So whether I move to Canada or any other country in the world, I would do the same as US has no equal in the world. I lived in US for 10 years, then India for 3 years and came to Canada 3 years back. I would still move to India after getting Canadian citizenship, but not because Canada has something bad or India has something exceptional to offer, but because I want to live with my parents in India. Thats the reason I left US but came to Canada to get a backup.

So while they were here, what work did they do? Except by name brand clothing and Tennis shoes with our federal tax dollars to be shipped home. Every student who comes to USA for M.S. graduate studenfrom India pay only 1semister fee to colleges but they apply for 2 year tuition in Indian banks \n\nWhat is happening is colleges collect 1 semester fee and after 1st semester.\n\n students work part time at restaurants, gas stations, Motels grocery stoes. Mostly at non chain stores. \n\nLegally they are suppose to work on campus but they work off campus and earn and then pay for college. And some send to India they their friends illegally.\n\nThey travel up to 50 miles around to work. \n\nThese students work for cash and work for $7 to $8 per hour or even less.\n\nStore proprietors / owners tell these students if anyone comes for raid they will tell that they are working on voluntary basis and taking salary. So like this millions of students work illegally.\n\nAfter student comes out of college during OPT and stem OPTA they continue to work and approach consulting companies to generate payroll / trainee for no r a son just to give them status. \n\nDuring OPT these employers collect money to pay taxes and generate payroll and keep them to put them to work and maintain their status.\n\nThis does not stop here.\nH1-B workers who come from India on lottery 80% do not have clent jobs but they use back door and show that they have jobs and continue to pay taxes to show on paper that they are still working with a hope that they get jobs in future. And do part time work at restaurants, grocery store etc..\n\nStudents also stay in apartments in groups of 5 to 6 in 2 bed room unit and share and save money actual apartment lease is on only 2 people remaining people stay illegal.\n\nLandlord cooperation is there. \n\nthis situation is causing so much trouble to American citizens. Most Americans do not get a job even if they get paid low wages due to these unauthorized workers.\n\nCreate a department to report every local illegal student workers or H1-Bs or OPTs to ICE and disqualify them and cancel their visas.

Its corporate greed which has trickled down into all areas of life. Rents, property values etc etc. No government can fix it in a democracy because capitalism gives greed the platform. Record profits during covid says it all. Recessions give a partial temporary reboot and depressions are devastating and take a long time to recoup from. I live in a rural small town, retired, own my house and debt free . Low property tax and affordable housing and rents but in the Maritimes. Cities are the worst to survive in. I feel for all that are struggling but Canada is a great country and better than most but one must be willing to relocate to areas that they can afford to live in and still have steady work.

There's difference between US and India immigration laws. In India opposition party states provide them with legal documents and make them their vote bank. And since Bangladeshis dont look much different from local population they blend in easily. \n\nIndians, latinos, and other non white people dont blend in plus in US they dont get such support from opposition parties like Bangladeshi get here.\n\nWe only have Bangladeshi immigrants only and it was due to open border for 40 years with Bangladesh under Congress. Its under Modi fencing of borders started and around 5lakhs are deported in 10 years. My uncle worked in immigration department and he explained me issues India faces but still under only Modi government India has made any effort to deport Bangladeshis.\n\nCongress made them into vote bank as they muslims ?
