Canada is well represented around the world. But you don't really know someone until you live with them. This country basically shuts down for at least 4 months a year during the winter. Sure people still do stuff but any Canadian can agree that winter, compared to the other seasons is night and day. \n\nIt sells itself well in real estate especially with foreign investors but deep down nobody really wants to live here Jan-April. \n\nPersonally I moved to the states cause I'm in a field that presented better opportunities, better pay, better quality of life year round, cheaper life in general without huge taxes.\n\nThat's the trade off, either work more and not deal with winters or deal with winter and get some support for not working as much.

If the United States actually jumped in for the people of Mexico, their hearts may be swayed and they won't be allies with Russia. You can't say you have conflict with one country and their friends be the neighbor. I just had a vision of the whole US wiped out by Russia, minus CA who didn't want to fight in WW3. I don't agree with California on that call, as I would protect my nation with my life. But that doesn't mean I would protect every individual with my life. I been getting some harsh treatment and been getting called a terrorist. Well where is my act of terror. Where is my money? Can't get it because of this. Enough is enough! These stories of chaos, stresses me out.\nHow on earth are we to handle all these people from Venezuela, Cuba, Central America. Haiti is a lawless place too.\nAll ask for asylum, but that excuse doesn't fit because they aren't being persecuted for religious or political reasons. Asylum laws state the asylum seeker must apply at the first democratic country they arrive at and that's not the US.\nThese are economic migrants and some fleeing drug and domestic violence. \nCanada and the US recently agreed that Canada gets to deport back to the US, any migrant that crosses into Canada from the US....great for Canada but not for us.?\nCanada has a great system with a list of all legal migrants. If you're not on the list, you get no services.\nThe countries that send their people up here are thrilled because the remittances sent back to these countries amount to billions of dollars and props up their economies....US$58.5 billion was sent to Mexico, from migrants in the US! ?

I'm Mexican, I live in Mexico but in the borderline between Mexico and United States and this immigrant behavior is just so embarrassing and unacceptable.\n\nTrump was a racist and I don't agree with the inhuman way he treated foreign people. This doesn't mean you have the right to enter to someone's house with out an invitación. They are so wrong, just proclaiming rights from other country they don't have, United States or even Mexico is NOT in obligation of helping them, we do it as a favor and they need to understand that. Ive been to Greece, Ireland, England and Scotland. I will agree that tap water and food is alot healthier abroad than in the states. Public transit sucks in most American cities. There are trains EVERYWHERE in the UK. You can walk a block and see a train there. But the sprawl here is the problem so you mentioned that. I will say Americans are friendlier to tourists than most foreigners, but most Americans are really mean when they travel abroad, so I guess that would balance out. The cost of living argument is hard to agree with, but I wasn't there during the rent hikes, I came back from UK right before they happened. I've heard inflation everywhere is bad, but maybe not in Canada. Love your guys' videos. Keep it up. I always show these to my girlfriend to start discussion/find common ground, and they have not once NOT worked, so well done.

As an American who lived abroad half of his life, and has come back to the states a few years ago, I can confirm that every pro and con brought up in this video is 100% true, although I don't really agree with Preach's opinion on American women, but other than that everything else, the food, the tap water, shit being hella spread out, the opportunities, just all of it was pretty spot on. I still love the US, I feel like my life has greatly improved since coming back, but there are things I miss from abroad.

Also a con about Canada is our grocery store and our cellphone company....we pay alot more than our American neighbor when it comes to cellphone bills...also the grocery stores are owned by the same person so they are gauging prices . There's no competition...so they can set the prices at wtv they want...I agree that flight prices here are flipping ridiculous!!!!. Why is it costing me 600$ to fly from MTL to Toronto???...what alot of us Canadians Do is drive to an airport in the states and then fly cuz it's that much cheaper

I moved to Canada from Australia. My standard of living is much worse here. My family and I will be moving back to Australia. \n\nI don’t agree that there’s systemic racism here - the majority of my friends are ethnic minorities and I saw no evidences they were discriminated against (nor did they ever express that they experienced racism). I feel Canadians are obsessed with race due to it being an issue in the United States, thus they exaggerate these issues and often draw instances of racism that are very thin (such as the examples you believe prove racism). “Silent racism” is code for interpreting something as being racist. I believe if we had to list the top ten LEAST racist countries in the world, Canada would be in the top 5.

Great video. The Us & Canada seem to be similarly alone when it comes to tax application. Sales taxes are applied the same way in both Canada & the US, on top of the sales price. This is shocking at first until you get used to it, if you ever do... income taxes are also similar, filing tax reports federally and in some cases by province or state. FYI, for folks with multiple jobs, one should be able to complete a tax form so their employer does not take the personal tax exemption. means lower pay but less surprise come tax time. Agree on employment & technology, seems like Canadians need to see new tech elsewhere before they adopt... and experience outside Canada not being counted is something many companies and governments here are looking to address, but the pace is slow

I live in Toronto (born and raised) and I’m moving to Costa Rica in the new year. This video is interesting to me because these are all things I truly agree with but have never given any real thought to as negatives about Canada. I usually get quite defensive when people try to compare to the states and call us (Toronto in particular) less then American cities. I think that’s more so linked to my love for the raptors though ?

I agree with almost everything these lovely ladies say as a person of caribbean decent. The health care system is greatly exaggerated and the overall system is such that the harder you work, the more they take from you. There are no incentives for existing businesses or prospective startups with great ideas ? to implement their plan. They rather move to the states. The boring part I don’t 100 percent agree because I think that that is relative. As people from different places and cultures all over the world, what might be exciting for one group would not be for another and vice versa. So I think that we need to create our own excitement and fun. And this depends on social connections sometimes. All in all, I loved what you 2 lovely ladies shared ????

Great video..I agree with everything with 3 exceptions.. \n1- They is a lot, lots lots of millionnaires and billionaires in Canada.\n2- Concerning the health system, if you have money, you do have the options to go to a privat clinic, for either consultation or surgery ( it's one of the reason why, they are short of staff in the public hospital ).\n3- The boring part??? I don't know exactly where you live. Like every big country, they is more boring and less boring States. First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. I totally agree with you about being taxed to death and the only reason Trudeau legalized pot was for another way to get more tax dollars. I wonder how the pot-heads feel about him now. Free health care you mentioned waiting 8 hours in emergency but you failed to mention if you need to see a specialist your talking months and you'll probably die first. I couldn't agree with you more. Canada has become another one of those mindless Totalitarian states like American China, Russia, etc., etc. I spent 10 years in China working as a teacher. I went there because I was fed up in my country and when I returned it was worse than when I left. As I am now 68, if I can afford to leave again I will and I'll never return again. I told the Chinese who knew me I was returning because I missed the land, but I never really missed the people. Now that I'm back, since Jan. 2022, I want to leave again and I will and Never return. Health care in this country is in the Sh*t-house, it's impossible to get a family Dr. In part I returned for medical reasons, but now would rather die than have to deal the the Canadian medical bureaucracy - REALLY !!! I can agree with these comments if your not American, growing up we had all that interaction with family, friends and neighbors. Life n times have changed in America due to gun violence, especially in large cities. Socializing is different in every state in America and in every country. I can understand how if your not accustomed to our ways of life even today, that you would prefer your ways of living back in your hometown and your Country. If you live in a big City in America and moved there from a smaller town in America, you will be feeling some loneliness, that's normal to us in America. If your American then you adjust to making n meeting new people, that hasn't been so easy with the pandemic for anyone. To compare our homes in one community from another or even from another country, is just criticism. We don't have a specific way of living, as far as our homes are constructed. This is how as American's we have always lived, small homes, large homes, big cities, small towns. Since the pandemic we do find ourselves spending more time inside due to no fault of our own. We do have different ways of living but so do other countries which we do enjoy when we visit. If you want to learn more about America and our lifestyles and history, you should do that. Every Country has it's government rules n law's and we try to abide by them, that's what makes our Country n Our Nation Great, that's also why many people come here to visit or work and study. Loneliness can be anywhere, depending on the person you are and reaching out to make new friends or just acquaintances is important. Pakistani here. Fully agree with everything you said. I visited the states and within a week I felt like I was burning out really quickly. The life was so bland, tasteless and colourless. I didn’t see any elements of culture or traditions, it was all about making money and then saving that money for future retirement. Here in Pakistan life is full of joy and happiness because we have close knit communities and family system. I can’t imagine living in the US permanently. I love my culture of joy and vibrance far more than the grey culture of corporate America.

As an American, I absolutely agree with this. I lived in Japan for almost a decade and I found that the structure of the towns were better for me than here in the states. It wasn’t like this in America to this extent until the mid 80’s. I really struggle with depression and anxiety here in the U.S. because of this mindset he’s talking about. When I am staying or living elsewhere, I feel more connected with society. My husband came here to the U.S. for the American dream but I struggle to stay here and anxiously waiting to move abroad again.

We just drove across Canada in July, and agree with your assessment of Quebec, and most of the other provinces. Manitoba and Ontario were in a shockingly run down state, and Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Quebec were our top three. BC is beautiful, but you cannot ignore all the corruption and the hyper-inflated RE market making a mess of everything. We're from BC, and love the place, but it is too difficult to survive there. PEI is in our top three worst provinces, as it's reputation is completely unfounded.

After 12 years living in Quebec, I can only agree this province is probably the best one to live in, especially if you speak French. The language, the culture, the safety, the architecture (especially Québec City and Montréal but elsewhere too), the natural landscapes (Charlevoix, Gaspésie, Mauricie, Saguenay, Estrie...), the St-Laurence river, the great location in Northeastern Canada bordering 4 US states (New York State, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine - insert a hiker's bias here), the relatively low-cost of higher-education and excellent universities...In spite of the downsides that anyone could point out, it is still a great place to live and raise a family.

I agree that everyone that comes from another country have to come to The United States or Canada legally it is hard but you would do whatever it takes to come to another country legally

You are referring to Islamic states, which I do not agree with. However, many Muslims in this country don't wish to live in a state ruled via religion.
