Canada has to take these money from board officers, who allowed them to come in Canada, from immigration and refugees workers who allowed them to stay in Canada, from immigration lawyers. But not from our money. People hard working every day and pay taxes not for mistakes of immigration and refugee workes. If this ministry so expensive- it is necessary to close this ministry.

My brother works for immigration Canada, he said that although Carney said immigrants are deported, but in reality his government is bringing in more Asylum refugees into Canada, which means Canadians will have to take care of them with their tax dollars. As an Indian living in India, I’d say it was your country’s government’s problem and mistake, similar to what the UK is doing now. Aside from government or policies, Indians immigrating to Canada is something that dates back to the British era, when Britain sent a group of Indians, specifically Sikhs, for security or labor work in Canada. This started the trend of Sikhs (turban-wearing ones) moving there. In modern times, the West was richer in terms of education and infra compared to Asia, which attracted many normal students and families immigrants also. Canada and America were built by immigrants, but now things are saturated, which I understand, and that’s where the resentment comes from. The majority Sikh state ( punjab) in India is still behind in development and job wise cooperation, and the historical pattern from the British era of moving to Canada for a better life has become a norm for many young people there. The close, collaborative nature of Sikhs—like a cousin in Canada inviting another cousin from India to come over, open a shop, work together, or share housing—is another reason many don’t hesitate to immigrate. These are some of the reasons behind mass immigration from India. Now, with saturation, the resentment toward immigration has grown. India itself faces issues with immigrants who live off our taxes, take rights meant for native children, and abuse policies, laws, or the environment. At least Canada has better-off immigrants—educated and contributing to the economy. While some may depend on taxes, most are hardworking and self-sufficient; otherwise, Canada’s economy would have collapsed by now. In end i can understand the hatred but you guys should stop this yourselves - not hunting them but prevent more.

I ve been in Quebec since 22 years now myself ; I am a Canadian citizen since 15 years now of course ; But it’s confusing… Why was Quebec still receiving more immigrants in such program when even thousands of locals were and are struggling to find jobs? For the last 6 years I made a career in Private security ; I became an officer Liutenant at least I tried ; but now a days I don’t even have a job in security anymore ; too many immigrants applying for the same job / and frankly they do not care if the remuneration is only 21$ an hour / so officers can’t afford to work for less than 27$ ; because they have 6 years experience and more : it’s logical / however , comes an Arabic guy ; who quit the job he came here to do under the program , now he is looking for his first job out here in the real market ( does 80 hours training to get a BSP ) the guy had a college degree or university on something else ; and magically he becomes an officer with no experience for $24 dollars an hour And any security company accepts him 🤷‍♂️ Conclusion : true experienced security professionals officers who built their careers from the bottom all the way up Don’t have a job anymore Remember , officers aren’t unionized 🤷‍♂️

We are talking refugees here. Individual Immigrants get a work permit as part of their immigration and permanent residency package. Refugees get more benefits than Canadian citizens, Canadian senior citizens, and even Canadian Permanent Residents.

3:02 I think 90% of what this dude said is so horribly off the mark but even I have to agree with this. If immigrants could successfully assimilate before, why not now? I remember in the 2010s hearing about immigrants/refugees not assimilating in Europe and constantly just thought "well why don't they just do immigration with strong assimilation like we do here in Canada?", and now we had 4 years of sloppy immigration give or take, unfortunate. The problem is immigration back in day was a luxury in India so only riches made it outside and they were rich compared to others after independence because they were more pro british and served them. So it was easy for them to immigrate and assimilate into your culture. Now you see many poor people also immigrating because immigration became more accessible, its just like the touchscreen phones, before only rich people had them, but later and now everyone has it. Plus your overly liberal and the stupid point system lets anyone enter the country if they meet a specific criteria, they barely check their english, background, crime record, etc. Also, living in India is a survival, or a nightmare for short. Especially for the poor people in the up north, and so they go to these shady agents who claim that they can send him or her to Canada, UK, Australia where ever they want in exchange for some money. Sometimes these agents turnout to be scams and sometimes not, then these students apply to some fake university that has no campus in Canada and select a course thats easy. Then once approved they come to canada, don’t go to university and make some other indian friends who say they have contacts with some job providers and through that the students get their jobs at the fast food joints and shopping malls. The mindset with which these students come to Canada is that I want to get a simple job as soon as I land in Canada and through that job I can get a PR. They never go to assimilate or discover the culture, they come because the country looks nice, has resources, and will provide them with a good salary so that they send some money back home to their parents as compared to low paying jobs in India, which too are super competitive. They still like the indian way of life, the culture, the food, the attire, just not in India. Thats why you’ll never see these students eating at anything other than a Indian Punjabi Restaurant or a fast food joint, they will never make white friends, they will never try to change the way they speak and look at Canadians, they will never try to change their driving habits. In conclusion, more poor people and students migrating, paired with their mindset of “I want everything to be Indian just not in India but in a place that looks better” paired with their low interest in actually learning and working better jobs is what makes them a bad immigrant group. But thats not to say that all are like that its only some and mostly Punjabis/ other North Indians that have this mindset. The reason why the Indian group in USA is much better and successful is because they are mostly of south indian descent. Those people are far more educated, actually respect the law of the land. And fun fact: The stereotypical Indian Accent originated from USA mainly and reason why many indians say that they don’t speak in that accent is because that particular stereotypical accent is present in Indian people who come from the states of Andra Pradesh and Telegana, which is is where most of the Indians in USA are actually from. Im not canadian but indians raping other immigrants someone who isn't Canadian white. I agree many things, but not agreeing to “ not paying tax”, “not working hard” & “just cross the border illegally”, most new Brampton residents pay high taxes as most work at jobs and payroll money comes after tax. I'm born in Quebec, I moved in different provinces for work and when I came back, i was treated like an immigrant. Go figure

There is a clear lie in that video. Nobody is in Limbo. Mind you there is normal Federal Express entry program still happening. Meaning, that if you get selected through that program, you can immigrate to any province of your choice - including Quebec. You can also still get bonus points for Canadian education (Quebec education does count) and Canadian work experience (if it qualifies). So the only thing that happened was, that one provincial nomination program was ended, that is all that happened. The practical problem is, that provincial nomination does give so many points, that it is a guarantee of normal express entry pull as long as you just meet criteria to enter Express entry. So provincial nominations are suitable for people that might be otherwise struggling with points (older age, less language perfection, les bonus points from education or work experience). For a disclaimer, provincial programs are based on a specific province needs and just because one was opened when you planned to go and study or work in Canada, it does not mean it will be like that forever. If an agent made you such promise, then he was misleading you. Again for those people demonstrating, nothing has changed for them other than one future option was gone. They still have their student or work permit until it expires. They also can apply into Express entry program as normal. On a side note for Canadian trying to cheer about this, be aware, such change can also mean that economy projection for next few years is not the best. so take it a warning sign. Or if we are lucky, it was found that this program was not bringing intended type of skilled worker or was heavily abused.

I believe it was a temporary program introduced during the pandemic. This whole segment doesn’t delve enough into the background to be sure of exactly who this is going to effect and how. That’s just bad journalism. I’d like to know because I cross the path of many immigrants and care about them. If the federal government’s economic plans work out, there could be more demand for workers in the coming year, especially in and around Montreal - I also pay attention to announcements of companies setting up or expanding here - and this might be another example of the CAQ shooting themselves in the foot again. They seem oblivious that an election is coming next fall.

I am a home support worker, who works with those in thier last 6 months of life. I havent gottrn a raise in 8 years. Some if not all immigrants get a subsidy from the gov as well as their wages. My rent has raised 235 dollars a month in the past year but the immigrants have their rent paid for the the same gov who hasnt given us a raise. My 16 yr old grandaughter was working at subway and an immigrant harrassed her, touched her face, told her how sexy she was a.s that he wanted to have sex with her. And wheb she said she was only 16 yrs ol and he was 38, he said its ok in my culture. Subway did quietly fire him, but made her sign a confidentially clause.

This is horrific! As an immigrant from India who has worked his b*tt off to make a better life for himself, this makes me feel so ashamed... I feel alienated because any time I try to say something of value, i get disowned by my own community. I wish everyone was as grateful for the opportunity this country has provided us as I am. The same shit is happening in Aus! It's almost always those who migrated from the rural parts of a developing country who don't (want to?) assimilate well. I lived in Brampton for 25 years, so I would like to weigh in. We definitely have an extremely large indian population here. There are a lot of upsides and downsides to that. Some of my best friends are Indian immigrants, some of the people I hate the most are also indian immigrants. With any large group of people, you will always have examples of exceptionally nice people, but also horrible people. Something I noticed a lot recently is that newer immigrants are a lot less interested in learning about Canadian culture, norms, and integration. A lot of my longtime indian friends learnt the Canadian culture, Canadian norms, and wish to work with Canadians. They celebrate christmas, are respectful and polite, and are otherwise outstanding Canadian Citizens. A lot of the newer problems in Brampton can make it unattractive for others. Lots of loud music blaring, street racing waking you up at 4am in the morning, fireworks at 3am for no apparent reason, etc.

They need to work to get to our country, they need to contribute to society and assimilate with white people here. If you come to this country and not try to learn or attempt assimilation with everybody that already has, I think immigration is a great thing, but they need to be FORCED to learn english, they need to be FORCED to learn our culture and our religion.

I think very less people have problems with other people who come legally and work legally. The problem mainly lies with the illegal and zero accountability towards that. Illegal immigration destroys culture and the country itself. I myself came to USA thinking I will be learning about american culture and maybe start adopting as well but all I saw was brown people because I was in tech which is widely dominated by brown people and it was very sad honestly.

As a someone who has lived in Brampton for over 20yrs I can say this video was pretty accurate. It was weird seeing places I past daily.
