Weak disposable income for consumers = less revenue for businesses. Businesses need to cut costs and immigration gates have been neglected & abused.

Cut off all aid to illegal immigrants, no housing, no food, NOTHING. Go back where you came from and make your own homeland better. We can't afford you.

I don't like the idea of sending back anyone who is here, working daily, following Canadian laws, and paying into the tax system.. these are productive people.\nHowever, the intake stream needs to be cut back. We failed to build the infrastructure to support a larger population. So until infrastructure (housing, roads, police, fire, medical, electrical, sewage, etc..) is built out to accommodate 41 million people properly, we can't take in more.\n\nThis failure is entirely government created. Red tape and the inability to build anything anywhere is the fault of municipal, provincial and federal governments. And this inability to build anything anywhere also ruins Canada's productivity and ability to attract new industry (jobs) and investment (jobs). Government is failing Canadians. Immigrants and the Canadian poor are just the lowest victims on the ladder, and the first and most heavily impacted.

America needs to cut on immigration and illegals immigrants, it is a serious issue ,Europe is facing this challenge before it starts hurting America needs to take concrete steps to curb inflow of immigration specially from India ,,

C'mon David, you can't compare this encampment to freedom convoy thugs who honked all night in Ottawa, blocked roads, businesses closed down and couldn't operate, they blocked borders. US/Canada both suffered due to the blockade at Ambassador Bridge. As a long haul Trucker, I couldn't work and I was forced to stay home because of those Convoy thugs. Trudeau did the right thing about Convoy thugs. Yes, I agree, these low-class immigrants and international students shouldn't have been brought here in the first place. Canada added more immigrants than they can produce jobs or housing. Carbon tax and many other taxes and programs created also issue. We need cut spending especially so many social programs on tax payers dollars. I hope indians will reflect of what they're doing, like indian students, i see some of them don't pay on the bus, i had experienced when we were waiting in line in bus station, i see them cutting line, they were lucky because Canadians are polite, and just let it go, one time an indian male driver parks his car on where the bus pass through in bus station, in tim Hortons most of the time they give us the wrong order, and i always had a stomach Ache when i eat at tims, but i never had problems when i order from other coffee shops, only at tims, and in our neighborhood they throw their garbage on the side of train rails, and it was clean before the indian immigrants move in in our neighborhood? It's interesting that after decades of admitting immigrants from all over the world and celebrating it, a number of Western countries have changed their minds these past few months. All of the reasons in the video for denying people entry into Canada, or any other country, have probably been around for many years, so it's odd that the number of entry rejections has only recently shot up. Along with that, there has been a boost in deportations in some countries. \n\nDuring the same time period as this change in the various governments' views towards migration, there has also been increasing disapproval of the Israeli government. There have been massive protests against the war in Gaza on every inhabited continent. Until fairly recently, criticism towards the Israeli government was viewed as anti-Semitic, but is becoming increasingly mainstream. \n\nIt's possible that the elite have finally realized that that people from developing countries tend to be pro-Palestinian. Especially as a large number of the immigrants are Muslim, or at least come from countries that were colonies until the post-war years. Maybe these international efforts to cut down on immigrants is being driven by an effort to reduce the percentage of people who support Palestine in the West. However, so far, the elite have no way of getting rid of the increasing number of citizens of Western countries who oppose the war in Gaza.

Dont cut immigration down.....tell me how did Indian intl student makes up about more than 80% out of all international students. Why didnt the government put a cap or a stop specifically just for Indian people? Why didnt the immigration look deep before giving student visa just like a snap of a finger and see if they can support themselve for school and living expense. \n\nI am an immigrant myself but when i decided to come to canada as a student. I made sure i had enough funds to sustain myself here in canada for 2 years until i can get my work permit then a head to PR. Nowdays I see a lot of international Students get access or abusing goverment facilities and benefits for which not entitle for them but Canadian residence only (PR or Canadian Citizen). I never ask for Cerb when covid happen, never ask food bank my part time job can fullfill that, paid my fare for using transportation, paid my rents and utilities on time and paid my credit cards. Lastly i never complaint focus on my study and I get good high paying jobs. I am proud to contribute to Canadian Economy as an Immigrant.\n\nThe question is are they doing the same? Not once has the word inflation been mentioned in this video, which the sharp rise of cost of living is largely to be blamed. Printing money always exacerbate the rich poor dichotomy. If the government decides to cut down on immigration, we'd have to address the issue of declining birth rate and drop in productivity as a nation. Manufacturing jobs are either underpaid or outsourced to developing nations due to globalization. In order to get a decent job, we are now staying in school longer than ever. for instance, as an aging society, we need immigrants to be our nurses, and doctors which drastically improve our standards of living. I disagree that cutting down immigration will sort out all of our economical issues.

The West needs to wake up and completely cut back immigration which is over stretching Canadas and Europe's infrastructure.

It is mostly the fault of the incompliant and corrupt Liberal government for the massive influx of unskilled India workers/students. Under previous sane governments, there were manageable caps that controlled the influx and allowed for proper immigration of vetted and skilled workers, but the Liberals stopped properly vetting people and basically opened the flood gates. For a Canadian company to hire foreign workers, they used to have to prove there were no Canadian workers to do that job, so foreign workers were mostly used in seasonal agriculture work, but due to very shady government deals with big corporations Trudeau approved paying wage subsidy and turning a blind eye to Canadian workers so Singh Hortons (and many other big businesses) could have workers for a cut rate and the government tax dollars paid up to 70% of wages and welfare. Also Foreign workers think they can stay here once their visa's expire, refusing to leave. There is simply no need for Canada to bring in over a million Indians that are in hard times in their own country. Our welfare or culture can't stand it. Not sure if you missed it or not, but India's foreign minister at the start of summer, thanked Trudeau for taking all their criminals, and low caste people. But People need to follow proper immigration policy, and not buy a ticket to Canada from a India scammer guaranteeing citizenship, which has been the case as well. I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc.. I’m a Korean American who has lived here my entire life since birth. I have lived in many other places and the thing about immigrants is they ALWAYS share the same traits wherever they go. \nI live in an affluent area and whenever the immigrants from poor countries come in they all do the same things…throw trash and litter everywhere, the attitude of “I made it just like you therefore I deserved to be treated like a king”..telling them to turn down the music at 2am and not understanding why so instead you are met with argumentative resistance instead of them just saying “hey we’re sorry won’t happen again, we don’t want to be that guy in this neighborhood. Our apologies” but nope. They continue to do it night after night and the audacity to even get angry. The crowding of all of their families in disrepspectful ways such as cutting in line while everyone else is patiently waiting, if there is free samples of food, they will group up and annihilate whatever they are offering not even caring about anyone else but their own. Leaving a very bad image for us East Asians when people from the red flag dragon nation come in droves. Being extremely loud in public while talking about petty nonsensical things most times but they yell and laugh not caring whoever else is around. Even if the room is quiet they have zero situational awareness, never putting things back when they grab them from stores or gym etc. they expect someone to pickup and do this for them. This is a moment in time, it's been caused by a combination of inflation and a lack of housing, which was exacerbated by a flood of immigrants and refugees. It's already starting to ease, but it's going to take a change of government to cut the immigration numbers and encourage housebuilding. Literally no one recommended raising the immigration quota to 500,000 per year and on top of that there is the Ukrainian refugee programme and student visas. Anyway, speaking as someone who used to work as an immigration consultant, the best place for a YouTuber to live is Mexico. It's easy to immigrate, you're in the same timezone as most of the English-speaking audience (that makes the most money per view) and Mexico (and Canada) have extremely comprehensive tax treaties with the US and endless MOUs and so on, which make dealing with Google and the IRS super easy. Cut all salaries to politicians to normal salaries like every middle class person. Rise taxes to all rich people too. First of all. And pause immigration until all existing issues are fixed.

The outlook is not bad. The problem is that the solution will NOT come from the hands of politicians, not even those who today use discontent to win votes. I bet ten years' salary that people like Poilievre will only do, as conservative governments do, cutting budgets immigrants´ aids , BUT HE WILL NOT GIVE UP CONTINUING TO ALLOW AND PROMOTE the indiscriminate arrival of these immigrants. And while there are certainly main contributors, one cannot simply ignore the area of supply and demand. Too many people looking for too few locations to live. My observation is that people are not making effort to work harder, too many regulations also limit companies to make great innovation that brings wealth here. I have been (mostly) a life long Liberal living in Toronto. I can honestly say, the Trudeau Liberal government has been the worst government at any level I have lived under - including Mike Harris and Bob Rae. Justin Trudeau likes to cut ribbons and make big announcements and spend time on the completely wrong priorities for Canadians. We need a government focused on the economy and the things it takes to build a thriving 21st century economy. Yes, it takes immigrants and those people will need the basics: a job, food, shelter and services. Instead we get dental care, pharm care, daycare - all these things we can't afford and that do very little to build out a thriving economy we need. We have lost decades due to poor planning of our governments and now we all must suffer. It will take generation to fix this, meanwhile our competing countries will all pass us. I will rue Justin Trudeau and his incompetent Ministers and enablers for the rest of my life.
