i know Trudeau gets a lot of crap from people, but my god this was a hell of a speech. same with Bernie Sanders' speech. i got goosebumps and also trying to fight back tears simultaneously. my ex wife is disabled receiving social security, medicare, and medicaid due to being in a wheelchair and requiring consistent medical care and attention. she receives, and is expected to survive on, $800 a month and $300 in foodstamps. she lives in campgrounds which is 90% cheaper than rent, and still has to budget, struggle and go without a lot to make life work all while being in tremendous pain and reliant on help from others. Trump, Elon, and all the other billionaires in charge are literally trying to make the ones suffering the most to suffer more while making them even richer. its absolutely disgusting how soulless these CEOs are. the world is ashamed of us and frankly if you are American and not ashamed and embarrassed by what these billionaires are doing with our relationship to not only our country but the entire world....then you arent a patriot, you are a cult follower, and you are part of the problem.

I think we need to give it time. In a year or two picture should be clear. I don't think tariffs are necessary a bad thing long term if they spike more production of everything or at list anything in US. Short term it would be painful for everybody tho. We become a country of no production. Only consumption is not healthy. It is how every empire behaves on a last breath. Look back in history. Rom, Spain etc.Sooner or later we wouldn't be able to exchange worthless green paper to goods anymore outside of the country unable to produce anything inside the country and we die. In the Philippines, Philippine entrepreneurs and the like who are exporting their products had been enjoying tax incentives (It does mean when exports live the country versus imports being received by the country then) as Philippine export earning is the one making the Philippine economy richer with money gained while import is making the money to go out of the country (going out as cost or expense) then while being revenue of another country (so that the profit of a country which is revenue less the expense is obviously what is the truth about any argument about tariff (which in a way is discriminating the deficit in becoming wider and wider to the pleasure of those who loved imported goods then).
