Our families have been here from India since 1887 in Canada. Our parents came here 1965. We suffered racism and pathed the way for the newcomers. The difference is that our parents came the right way with a sponsorship. These newcomers think they are better than us. We couldn't afford a car for years. These newcomers are rolling in sports cars as soon as they land. They haven't suffered hardship like we did here. Please don't put us on the same level as them. I know some that have come here and really worked their way up to adapt here. The government needs to stop giving out free handouts to the ones that are abusing our country.

It's so paradoxical that the indians back in India and abroad are projecting different outlooks about immigration and assimilation. I think it's absurd. In recent India, they look down upon immigration in India and complain about the lack of assimilation of immigrants to the diverse Indian culture. But abroad in another country as immigrants they want to protect their culture and do not want to assimilate to that country's culture or way of life. 😅 The comments about equality of humans, non discrimination etc made me laugh so much.. Ask them about the caste discrimination in their society, anti-conversion laws, attacks on sikhs, muslims, christians institutions/places of worship, and how they treat african students & other non-white races in India to have a better understanding on their views. 😂😅

Canada is spiralling into 3rd world. No housing, health care nor new infrastrutures despite 5 more millions added. Oligarchs cooked up the 100Million initiative so they could make trillions from housing, grocery, and crimes. Letting in millions of international students whom many have little intention to study while quick to seek asylum. They are more like indentured labourers ripe to be exploited by their very own. Which country welcomes refugees and illegal immigrants with open arms, treating them far better than seniors who toiled for decades. Only in Canada! Oh Indicanada!

For nearly 20 years, Conservatives have been warning Canadians about the challenges we are now facing but every time, they were dismissed and branded as “racist” for simply pointing out the obvious. Meanwhile, grassroots Canadians along with immigrants who came here in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s had one goal in mind to work hard, build a better life, and help "make Canada a stronger and more prosperous country". Their efforts over the last 60 years are clear in the Canada we inherited. In contrast, the Liberal and NDP approach has been to ignore these warnings and push policies that are eroding the very foundations of what made this country thrive. Instead of focusing on integration, responsibility, and opportunity, they are enabling divisions and importing problems rather than solutions. So, to the commenters who keep voting Liberal and NDP: thank you because you are ensuring this decline will continue.

I’m a recent Indian immigrant and I’ve lived in Singapore, Malaysia, the USA, and now Canada. I’ll admit that a lot of what’s said here is true: there are far too many cases where Indians abroad show a lack of civic sense, break rules, or behave in ways that don’t respect the host country.  Personally, my family and I have always assimilated wherever we’ve lived, respecting local customs, following rules, and contributing positively to the community and I hate it when immigrants don't assimilate into the local culture and reside in their own enclaves, I mean what was the point of emigrating then?? I truly value the peace and order these countries offer, and I want to give that back. Every community has good and bad examples. The responsibility is on us as immigrants to lead by example, integrate genuinely, and show that we can be respectful, responsible citizens. That’s how perceptions change for the better. It sucks that a whole racial group can be disliked because of some bad apples — and in our case, unfortunately, there are quite a few.

Thanks to Trudeau and all the Liberals. Their goal is to turn Canada into a brown and black country. And all you Canadians deserve everything you are getting, because you keep voting for Liberals. So there you go, better go study Hindi before the complete take over.

It's the governments' fault for allowing so much immigration. People from 3rd world countries will always want a better life for their children which is why they work so hard to become doctors and engineers and then migrate. But it is the governments' responsibility to take care of their own country's demographics and policies. Yet racists string up the hardworking immigrants with the low quality hooligans. There is a group creating a new social measurement called 'World Civility Index' to help immigrants to learn about the culture and values of their new host. The concept is to set a standard, common interface where everyone can interact and enjoy each other, not imposing their own "old country" culture, especially in public. We do this by cultivating social manners, empathy, intercultural awareness so that newcomers can be better employees, students, general citizens. What gets measured gets managed.

Ok so Indians who came to Canada in 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s they tried to a assimilate but the whites never let them. They were racists, never gave them equal opportunities, always belittled them. So then those same Indians grouped together and created their business for their own and now you complain we do not assimilate. Dude clean your own backyard before complaining about others. If they do not work why there are no Indian homeless. They worked hard, harder your 5 generations combined thats why they were able to build houses. Their bathrooms are bigger then your bedrooms. If now have something to complain you are free to leave the country. so at 3:00 he is saying, it does not cost illegals a penny to go to hospital. How many illegals has he smuggled into Canada. Any person in Canada without the provincial insurance has to pay everything out of pocket. I just got my dads blood work done today and he is on a visitor visa. It costed me $750 dollars, and before that just a walk in visit costed me $$175 dollars. And about paying taxes, I garuntee you a single houshold of Indians pay more in Taxes than a whole street of these white shit heads. The amount of myths they have created around immigrants is astonishing. There is is a reason conservatives loves the poor and the uneducated. You can clearly see the stark difference between how a Canadian born and raised person is speaking about other and how an immigrant is speaking about others and distributing free food and serving the society. THe people who have never tried to help anyone will always be jealous of those who help and prosper. We did not came from broken country, we just came here for a little better life which we have gotten with our hardwork and we owe nothing to these half ass naked shit rags complaining about immigrants when they themselves are either one or descendants of immigrants.

Every one of you in Canada is an immigrant or descendant of an immigrant, so please don’t do to each other what they did to your grandfathers and grandmothers! Put yourself in the place of the person who just arrived and feel how much they are suffering to start a new life, find a new place, find furniture, change career and look for a new job, get the cultural shock and cold weather shock and learn how to survive the cold winter and learn a new language, and make new contacts, new friends and new families maybe… too much to handle while you are not giving a fuck about all his struggles but pushing him to change his culture automatically like if it’s magic and at the same time he is not aware why on earth is everyone against his religion or accent or way of thinking and your rejections towards them by showing clearly your attack towards them here online without shame! Those people who are escaping from wars or genocides or poverty to find a better opportunity to be able to feed their families abroad, you have no consideration for what brought them here or what they had endured and you want to let them endure more above their struggle to survive all the inconvenience in a capitalist frozen country! Please try to be nice to each other and teach one another how to live respecting one another boundaries and culture! a country with many nationalities is multicultural and multiculturalisme can’t exist with racism and discrimination. If you come to this country and dont embrace our culture and our way of life because you believe your way of life in your country is better, that’s fine then stay in your county! I agree with you to the extent of your understanding of Canadian culture. However, immigrants to Canada should be aware that the First Nations and indigenous people of Canada often have to seek a better life in other countries because colonizers and their descendants show no regard for treaty rights and have disenfranchised First Nations. The government hides the facts about the plight of indigenous Canadians and lie to Canadian immigrants and citizens, always to divide and conquer. Immigrants often don't realize that most indigenous Canadians are living in worse conditions than what the immigrants themselves came from, and few live as comfortably as white Canadians. When white people talk about how hard they have it because of immigrants, they should think about what First Nations have to deal with everyday because of them. Why is there a French-speaking province and not a Cree or Anishnabe speaking province?

Immigrants also brought money alot of money. I came 3 years ago, I have friends from different countries. N when ever they speak with their country people they speak in their native tongue. Not all immigrants r bad, its govenment issue not people. Dont blame my people, they put application paid fee and also paid GIC of 20K plus college fee of 20k+. I know some people can be bad, thats where government should make law implementation better. Plus, no immigrant expected the job crisis tht exist, so whatever job to atleast save some amount rather than hitting the savings, we take. I have adapted the culture, I live my life peacefully without bothering anyone. If there's any religious activity, govt should contact groups and work out ways to celebrate festivals. I have culture from birth country in addition I added Canadian culture. The blend is good, and can be attained if govt make proper planning.

As an immigrant who came to this country & fell in love with its culture 40 years ago, it's appalling to see how our beautiful first world country is quickly becoming a gutter. The newcomers these days are the privileged ones. All of us need to speak up, especially those of us immigrants who retain our original accents &/ non-white because our white fellow Canadians are accused of being racist whenever they do (though many could learn to be more eloquent. ie. go back to your country does NOT help)! I see it as my Canadian duty to remind "misbehaving" newcomers the reason they left their country in the first place. ie. You chose Canada for a better life, so why try to change it into the one you left? ie. Help me understand your logic? Why not leave your hate & war at the border; just like normal folks won't bring stinky garbage into their new homes. Life is challenging enough when you uprooted to a new country (especially our unforgiving cold Winter). So, just focus on the positive things in your new country & leave all your miseries behind... ie. Learn to adapt & enjoy your new country. Canada is a great country because of the love & effort of those before you, so now you are the beneficiary. Join the legacy by enhancing this beautiful country & its culture, so you can pass on this century old legacy for later newcomers to enjoy, like you do now. What dignity do you have & what kind of life lessons to your children by bullying your culture & religion into Canada at the expense of other Canadians? This will fracture Canada if everyone does that. Do you want this country to become so fractured & terrible that your descendants have to leave for a better country, like you did? Is that what your religion teaches you? Does it state it's perfectly fine to satisfy all your whims & wishes at the expense of others? Are you striving for Canadians to think badly of your race/culture? Are you being a good ambassador to your race/community/culture/religion? Canadians are so friendly & helpful, if you need help, just ask, please don't demand. Learn the language & it's ok to speak broken/pigeon English with gestures to communicate. No one expects you to be an English scholar; you gain respect for trying. Apply some basic Canadians manners, which goes a long way... Please & Thank You, Smile doesn't cost you anything, besides it's good exercise for your facial muscles. I worked my entire career with the public, I very seldom encounter negative feedback when I do the above. If they get nasty, I tell them that's definitely not the Canadian way to make friends & wish them Good Luck! I also make a point in telling the wealthy ones "Tax Avoidance is legal (I'm more than happy to show them), but Tax Evasion is not! Then reminding them....Canada will be bankrupt eventually if everyone don't pay their fair share of taxes. ie. You may not suffer, but your children/grandchildren will. Worst Case scenario, you didn't get the necessary medical care when you most needed it!!! We should lobby for a mandatory course that all newcomers have to take & PASS a test about Canadian culture & expectations. If they fail, no citizenship for sure! Canada is finito… if I truly could afford to, I would emigrate to another country for a better lifestyle for my kids. I can’t tell what it’s gonna be like in another 15-20 years. I can’t even afford to get my car fixed, which I use for business to make a living 🤦‍♂️ My problem isn’t with immigration - it’s more with crime, taxes, cost of living and the lack of making it easier for People to live and spend QUALITY time with our families. This is why I desperately wish there was an actual Libertarian party to vote for in elections! There is a party, but they have not gotten enough signatures to be able to run yet, I don't even know if there is an office or representative in Ontario right now! I wish! Their policies (on paper) seem great, and geared more towards a 'Canada first'/'Canadians First' approach. They touch on a lot of topics and there seem to be a lot of things they want to change! But a government is still a government, they will be motivated by money regardless of any good intentions they may have. So if and when things change, WE NEED TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE! We as the citizens have the power to change things for the better! It's just unfortunate that I see so many people getting pushed down or ignored or hated because they are speaking their mind. Remember, Canada dosen't have laws like the US, our freedoms aren't as protected nor do we have the same freedoms they do (like owning and protecting your own property, or self defense!) We as people need to start being honest and expressing things instead of being terrified of the backlash (of which there will be in these times). The only way we can make progress is by deciding to get out of our comfort zones and standing for what is right! For the freedoms and protections we deserve! To make a future worth living for us and our children! It will not be easy, but when is change ever easy? I hope that one day I won't be terrified of the thought of bringing a life into this world and country. I hope I can be stable enough to be able to give my future children a decent life. But right now? I would never want to have children, things are too unstable and I don't want to bring a child into this country and force them to live a terrible life they never asked for! I desperately want to be able to keep hoping for a better future, a better country, and people who can enjoy their lives instead of constantly worrying and stressing about everything. I hope some can consider looking into the Libertarian party as well! They may be small right now, but they seem to be wanting to right the wrongs that have occured.

In Canada we have foreign workers programs that allows businesses to hire foreigners and the liberal federal govt pays 1/3 of these foreigners salaries. So of course any business like retail or restaurant’s biggest overhead is labour costs so if they can save like $6.00 an hour on every employee why wouldn’t they opt in for that. I also did a very deep dive into the voters in Canada. At least 4.5 million out of the 8.5 million voted the Carney liberals got in April 2025 were immigrant votes. That’s why Carney and liberals pander to the gigantic Muslim population in Canada. Muslims, Chinese, Indians from India, Ukrainians, Filipinos they all pretty much vote liberal. There weee over 100 Muslim groups that told their Muslim community to only vote for candidates that support Gaza Muslims and Palestinians. How is that not election interference. We know the Chinese directly interfere in our elections by threatening Chinese Canadians to vote liberal or their families in China will be harmed or they will be harmed inside Canada. In June Carney said Muslim values are Canadian values. Either this clown has no idea how radical Islam is or he knows and just panders for votes. Liberal cabinet ministers Anita Anand and Melanie Joly they both openly campaigned saying they must support Palestine because they both have large Muslim populations in their respective ridings. Over half of the liberal voter base is foreign now. I started in 2019 telling the federal conservatives look the liberals are importing new liberal voters. The party needs a strategy to win over the immigrant vote. I proposed hiring a team of individuals from the Muslim community, Chinese community etc to brainstorm on how to get their message across that if your an immigrant your best to vote conservative because the liberals don’t care about them they just want their vote. Show them how they may never own a home, how their kids will be worse off than them. That buy bringing in about 2 million more immigrants a year it is causing inflation and the affordability crisis. I believe if you can show these immigrant communities the truth they may consider voting conservative. Bit of the conservatives refuse to pivot we will never see another federal conservative govt in our lifetimes. It’s not racist it’s the truth. We need a foreign registry act to kick out foreign entities that harass bully and threaten immigrants in Canada to bend the knee or else. If we have 100 Islamic groups telling their community it’s yo only vote one way charge them with election interference. We need electoral reform badly in Canada. We need to end all immigration to Canada for at least 5 years maybe even 10. We need to deport those here illegally. No more fake asylum claims. This country can still be saved but we need immigrants on board to help save it. We need to remove broadcasting licenses of mainstream media networks that lie and bash conservatives. I am an immigrant,I never abused the system, never took what was not mine, I worked hard and I am nurse, I waited four years to purchase my dream car and 2 months in, the person who don’t use road codes or stop light hit my car! I worked hard and I am kind and respectful…. People who steal DAILY gets a slap on their wrist and gets their Canadian citizenship right away. I don’t eat or drink and place my cup on store shelves with clothes that other people are about to purchase. Canada is not safe anymore! All the jobs are going to a set of immigrants who acts like pigs! Driving in the dowtown area, u have to keep your foot on the break because there WILL be about 20 bikes that will ride in front of your car without notice . I work so hard and sometimes it’s so overwhelming, the last time this got to me…. I had to go and take a little vacation…. No I could not afford it but it’s better than getting stressed out because Canada is becoming a 3rd world country!!! There are HONEST people who work so hard and cannot afford anything , not even their rent! WE ARE FED UP, it is not the older immigrants, it is the new ones that are destroying the country and turning it into trash!

I don't understand those people who came here in Canada to be safe but do not follow the system here. Stay in your country if you want the same system that you're used to. I came here to Canada 18years ago to feel safe and have a better future and worked so hard and I was very happy but now everything starts to break 😢

Here's the whole problem/situation summarized: Canada has been getting treated like it's a vacation resort rather than a country. And yeah, it doesn't entirely matter who exactly is treating it this way. Those who move to and those that live in have been doing this. Which is unfortunate, it's supposed to be far better than this but peace has made people delusional in a way and started to treat Canada like a resort for their early retirement. While trying to act like they AREN'T retirees.

While the end result is the actual "immigrant", you can tell these new immigrants all day and night to go back to their country... The immigrant themselves will be looking at you like... Huh? Why? Furthermore the campaigns they would have in other countries to literally sell the idea for them to apply to become an immigrant in Canada. The libs are 100% responsible for what is happening now... For me to tell an immigrant, the he/she is not wanted here is not relevant... The government sold them the pitch to come here for a better life.... Trudeau allowed other loopholes to happen too.... Migrants through applying to colleges and universities, migrants through the liberal foreign work program and the list goes on. Now we have a problem and everyone sees it.... The question is what do we do as Canadians... I exercised my vote for blue...but we still had a majority of liberal supporters which was not just surprising but it seemed that people think Conservatives are bad people who are racist and want to follow trumps steps... i begged to differ.... I think what many of us are aiming for is a cleaning up of liberal policies... And stop immigration from ALL PLACES. Allow Canada to re-coop, reestablish and redevelop what it always was.

I’m a Canadian Jamaican and I don’t recognize the country. The people coming in lately are hostile to the place they seek support from. It’s ridiculous and bazaar. I’m seeing so many places for rent stipulating that they outright prefer or are seeking Indian. I’m not white but I’m tempted to post an ad for place to rent and say it’s for for white tenants just to behold what happens. I mean we have never witnessed such conduct in Canada until these #&? ckers popped up. Even the prior immigrants are stunned. I’ve been working since 78 and now a senior but when I try to get help for housing I’m offered a night only shelter with mental and drug abusers to go try sleep in or the sidewalk or countless apologies. If I could put apologies in the bank, I would be rich While the former Marriott 2minutes up the street is home to all kinds of refugees. Don’t get injured, get any older or anything like that and unable to work in this country now as you’re much better off passing away.

Im sick of these people coming into OUR country and straight up ignoring our laws!!!! They literally make the older kids like 6 years old watch and babysit the 2+ year old while they run the roads in the city by themselves all hours and when you see these people getting in their cars they DONT buckle their children in their seats. Now that you’re here, you refuse to integrate with this country’s rules and way of life. You bring your religion with you and that fine BUT, practice it in your places of worship and not force it down our throats. Canada situation is not immigrant’s fault, this is government fault. Someone from a third world nation, will always try to find better opportunities in a different country and this is valid. The issue is that Canadian Government needs to be strong enough and make revision to its immigration system; many people works years and years with no proper documentation, no declaring taxes because they are being paid in cash…not even speaking a basic English, however they have a life in Canada. I am not racist in any way shape or form- my grandfather was in Germany and he was on the Beach in Normandy. He saw his friend die in a foxhole beside him and my grandfather came home with shrapnel in his leg. His suffered all of this to give us our freedoms and a safe place to live. Students immigrants are given better housing and more money to survive on than me - who was a part of this workforce and a taxpayer from the age of 12 I have had some sort of job until I was injured at work. We aren’t racist we are fed up, abandoned and disgusted with out social safety net being handed out to others who do nothing but complain that it’s not enough! It will get worse before it gets better. History shows that similar things happened to other countries. Government became corrupted, they pass policies that are insanity. Eventually the people of those countries rose up and overthrew that government by force. Carney, tread carefully. Because Canadians will soon replace despair with anger. And historically, Canadians during war time or backed into a corner, and left with no other option, are vicious.

When immigrants are sick of immigration, you know there's a problem! I have no problem with someone coming to make their life and Canada better. The problem is with the immigrants that bring their problems with them or take advantage of the host country, regardless of which country they move to or from. I was never brought up with racism. The problem with mass immigration is that the government of Canada is breeding racism!

Without immigration Canada would fall... Canadians on their own do not have enough children to sustain the numbers to keep our economy stable. That's why the process is supposed to take awhile, have checks and applications, so we are not just bringing in people, we are bringing in a sustainable number of people that will embrace being Canadian. We need to continue that. What we don't need is an influx of people who have not gone through the process, who do not understand they are being giving an opportunity to join us, and who are willing to be Canadian. No one wants to strip people of their history, but if you are leaving your country, you are doing it because you want something better, something different... the only way you get that is if you embrace where you are, not try and change it to what you left.

No doubt about it, Canada is for Canadians. If you wanted to, you could deport millions of immigrants, but let's be real about the cost. The Canadian economy, its pensions, its farms, and its health sector all rely on immigrants to pay taxes and fill jobs. It's not some big conspiracy about population replacement; it's just about the economy. You can't have one without the other. Canadians aren't the only ones dealing with this. In Asia and Africa, it's a different kind of immigrant, the ones with money who buy up land and property, driving locals out of the market. They're not given an ear either, because money talks. It’s always been about the money and the power, and Canadians should understand that perspective too. The culture or religion of a few bad apples shouldn’t be used to tarnish every immigrant. We do need to do a better job screening people, but it’s not fair to paint everyone with the same brush. In the U.S., Indian immigrants are top earners and incredibly successful, but people still complain that they’re "taking their jobs." So, if an Indian person is a failure, they're a problem. If they're a success, they're still a problem. They can't win. This old colonial mindset is alive and well. It's tough for some people to process that a person of color can outsmart them and rise up by their own bootstrap. But when those same folks go to Asia or Africa, suddenly they feel that old nostalgia and are much more comfortable with the social hierarchy there. It would be ideal if no one had to leave their home country for a better life. When we have more justice in the world for everyone, maybe we won't have to keep having these conversations.
