Now this is a wise man who doesn't care about IQ results.. Trump you could learn a lot from this decent man.. it's okay to say your wrong Trump that's what make you wise! ✌️

This is what Americans and Canadians have listed to for years. Now you don't look like a push over....nice. Now you will negotiate and work together for a fair trade deal. Let results delicate.

trump started this pointless tariff war and owns the results. America is burning through friendships around the globe. America is f*cked...
2025-03-04 0
Don’t be fooled, Trudeau has made the opposition in Canada much more popular with his “good talk/ opposite results. The Dems lost for this exact reason in the US America will be strong either way. Canadians are much stronger without Trudeau no matter what they decide to do. I am sure many would agree no matter what side of the political spectrum they’re on.
2025-03-04 0
Taking an economics class right now. It's true that the single and only result of tariffs is government revenue at the cost of citizens of both involved countries. Both countries, not one.

IM AMERICAN AND I COULDNT BE MORE SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS , I WATCH FOX NOT THIS COMMENT SECTION FULL OF AMERICAN LIBERAL COWARDS ON CNN NEWS LIBERAL PUSSIES!!!!
2025-03-04 0
Read these comments, quite ridiculous…. This man has destroyed Canada… his poll at one point reached single digit… as a result, he pretended to resign in order to delay the election… currently, the parliament does not function even in such critical moment, coz his ‘resignation’….

?? here. Sure, we have our differences internally. Sure, we have problems. But oh my, in my many years of experience I have never seen Canadians united the way we have become as a result of threats eminating from the US. For this, we are putting our differences aside and uniting as one. I’m not a Trudeau fan, but he speaks - very well - for our nation.
2025-03-04 0
Trudeau is Right in everything he said Except one item .. Donald is Not Smart, If we had a President as Smart as Trudeau in America well you know what the results would be.
2025-03-04 0
I'm pretty sure all that has transpired over the past few days is a result of Musk's influence over Trump.
2025-03-04 0
America first will result in America alone (maybe together with Russia)
2025-03-04 0
American here. Trust me what Trump is doing is foolish. There are many MANY Americans like myself that can agree. We cannot control this devil in power.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\ntrumps attempted assassination was staged for rigged election results. elon is an oligarchy that paid his way into government.

We deeply respect and value our neighbors to the North and South. While we understand these tariffs will impact all consumers, as Americans, we acknowledge that Canada and Mexico's responses are a direct result of policy decisions beyond their control. My hope is that in a not so far off future, we can repair our everlasting relationships and continue to thrive united as partners.

Congratulations Mr. Trudeau, you finally sound like our Prime Minister should. Now start making this country self sufficient so we don't have to rely on anyone. No more selling off our Crown corporations our land and other businesses to foreign countries. Keep Canada Canadian and give jobs to born Canadians first. Stock pile our oil and gas for our use and lower the prices of these things so that transportation cost make things easier for business and personal enjoyment. Don't tax the farmer so that they can supply food to everyone cheaper. We should not be struggling in this country which has all the natural resources . The unnatural population growth has put a strain on the whole system and in some cases put us in danger too. The crime rate has increased in large part to your lax immigration system. All the businesses increased the prices of everything due to this unnatural population growth. Supply and demand is not working the way it is supposed to anymore. In a normal household we make plans and prepare for changes. You just said ok, let's bring people here and forgot about the preparations. Infrastructure first man. If your going to bring half a million people over here, build the houses first bro. Nobody in Canada should be homeless which is another result of poor preparation. The housing prices and everything else went through the roof in large part due to the unnatural population growth. Anyway, think first before you act just like in a private home. Good luck Mr. Trudeau and everyone else. I hope it's not too late to get this country back on track so we can all enjoy life the way we used to....Peace

Dear CNN, \n The last time Trump went to Ruzzia to 'Negotiate' anything, he curiously left behind his Translation Team, his National Security Team, AND his Intelligence Team and walked into a room with Putin, (who had ALL those things with him). This resulted in D.J. getting pumped for info for around three hours. This 'Info' Putin has managed to use to great effect, as he entered into the Ukraine War, and now Donald wants to 'Negotiate' with Putin AGAIN on behalf of Ukraine?!? Trump doesn't even use the CIA for his geopolitical briefings, he actually uses 'Private Services' for his info, (at Taxpayer Expense) largely I'm sure, because anyone who is close to being Competent at what they do would 'KNOW' things, and would be correcting Trump, constantly, which he hates with a passion. On top of this there's Tulsi Gabbard who the Ruzzians themselves have publicly stated IS an Agent of theirs for the last Decade. It's for these reasons and more that I say D.J. is a Traitor to this Country for the love of money. \n How much more of an illustration does one require for a 'Worst Case' scenario?!? A 'Rogue Actor' taking control of the U.S. Government with full access to it's Nuclear Codes. It truly makes more sense to go Radio Silent with America, (for the time being at least) and co-ordinate with Mr.Zelenskyy as to how you will proceed. I would seriously be 'dragging my heels' on that Royal Invitation as well, as D.J. will completely misinterpret that to mean something entirely else! We in the U.S. are undergoing a COUP, plain and simple. No need to Soft Sell it going forward as Trump and Vance have knowingly delivered us to Ruzzia without so much as a single shot being fired. Thanks for the Post.

I wish we could have Trudeau as president. Alas, he is Canadian and we are stuck with a deadbeat tangerine toddler, who flunked Economics 101 because he doesn't understand that tariffs hurt consumers and result in a trade war. Yambo is an a$$.

Everyone who talked nonsense about Trudeau, the Carbon Tax and jumped on the Pollievre bandwagon please open yourselves and your hearts to your fellow Canadians and fellow human beings by seeing the danger, heartache and awful consequences that have resulted from MAGA rhetoric, Trump's election and recognize the need for Canada to come together and stand behind leaders that will keep Canada's (and the world's) best interests in mind, and not stand behind a wannabe leader like Pollievre that will sell out Canada and worsen this situation beyond repair ❤?????

It’s really annoying that CNN continues to babble on instead of letting Trudeau finish his press conference and then proceed with their responses. Our country is in the hands of a madman along with Musk and other cowardly Republicans who are in office. For all of those who voted for Trump, wait till energy and other costs rise, but it’s a shame we will all suffer as a result. Canada is our friend I am ashamed right now to call myself an American.
2025-03-04 0
The world knew this was coming and did nothing to protect their citizens and businesses from any of this. Everyone is retaliating and fist waving American citizens at the bad time we will have as a result. You can miss me with the fear mongering. Everyone is trying to take advantage of the U.S citizen and using the president as an excuse.
2025-03-04 0
This is the result when you have a country with majority uneducated political people who don't know their own history but are imbued with racism.
2025-03-04 0
Right On! rump is trying to take the US into a Russian ally. I support Canada's position! I have never been so ashamed of our government than today! Between genocide in Israel to repeating Russian talking points about Ukraine, this is the worst result of electing this enemy of the people of the United States.
2025-03-04 0
Tit for tat is loosing for the game. I can see how you are gambling to the innocent people of Americans and Canadians's economy. But thy shall wait the results.

This presidential election was the BIGGEST IQ test in the history of the planet and the result are IN ... enjoy MAGA people !
2025-03-04 0
country elects guy who went bankrupt 7 times... expected result occurs.
2025-03-04 0
No matter who pays the tariffs and who it hurts, the end result is that billions will be paid into the government coffers of both USA and Canada. Of course Trump & Musk want to use that to benefit billionaire oligarchs, but what will Canada do with the new income? Maybe much could go to Ukraine to compensate US disgusting withdrawal of support??
2025-03-04 0
Ok Trumpers. If your boy really is playing 8 dimensional chess..and really isn’t a freakin IDIOT, \nThen he better show some results on this ASAP. ‘Cause unlike everything else the last 4 years you CANT blame this on Biden, Obama, the “left”, immigrants, or china. \nRemember: THIS IS what YOU WANTED. \nThis one is ALL on you. \nUnfortunately tho, we all get to go on this ride…\nAnd we’re all gonna eat shit if you’re wrong. \nSo Let’s see what your messiah has up his sleeve…
2025-03-04 0
Make that make sense? ok, here it is.—-Trump is the most evil villain the world has ever known.-In exchange for helping Trump win both elections-Putin was handed classified documents providing Russia with the technology to determine the precise location of each deployed U.S. Navy submarine that's armed with ballistic missiles.-\nBecause of this transaction ALONE the country has no other option but to cease being the United States of America and fulfill it's role as Russia's latest conquest.\nThis is the result of allowing extreme racism to reign and placing an eminently compromised degenerate in the highest office.
2025-03-04 0
trump has made the worst thing possible: old allies doesnt exist anymore and this is the worst thing for USA...they will see the result in the future

This is just a sampling of what happens when you elect an official do the highest office in the land while this individual Donald Trump is Holden s official position as dog catcher is out of his ability. The issue on fentanyl, is a intoxicant that will not and cannot be defeated. This is a total failure on the government's inability to protect its own citizens that is their number one job.. The only solution that I have heard that remotely makes any sense is the Cato institute conclusion that the wisest route to go is completely legalization with age restrictions. While this may not be the desired outcome it's the only one that I see that makes any sense whatsoever it seems that when a solution like this offered so many individuals who have no gravitas in this matter will come back to the same nonsensical bulshit that they're going to stop the flow that is absolutely impossible. However we will continue on that course and we will continue to fail. The Cato Institute was initially funded by the Koch brothers a extremely conservative organization that gets together a group of the brightest and the best in trying to determine what is the best solution.the Koch brothers were the group that invented the tea party I would love for anybody who disagrees with this post. I would like anybody who thinks that this is a far-fetched idea ,all I ask is that if you disagree with the finding that it should be legal with age restrictions if you disagree I would like to hear a solution that you have in mind that you think is better than the Cato Institute finding. I am under the impression that you do not have anything that remotely resembles a solution to this terrible problem. Right off the bat, with uality control, you'll stop hundreds of thousands of deaths. All of the issues that are being dealt with are just so screwed up because we've already been through this before. After making a constitutional amendment to ban the manufacturing of alcohol it was reversed and I hope that the country realize that we cannot win this battle with the same mindset. The only reason why fentanyl is such a dangerous intoxicant is because there's no quality control. Also the cartels are not affected negatively \nBy allowing the government deal with this problem. the end result would be not only do you save lives but you also have put a very negative Spike through their heart of the cartel in the pocketbook. Incense elan musk & DOGE cost cutting measures since this War on drugs has caused over a trillion dollars and no 6:28 results. The DEA does not remotely live up to its mission statement and has failed every year since that policy was put in place. I would love to hear any feedback and a solution that is remotely possible.. let's hear some original ideas that the country would benefit from.. the ball is in your court.

Putting higher tariffs on Canada, China, and Mexico will not make America great again. This will cause higher prices in goods and services and may result in unemployment.
2025-03-04 0
Trump is doing the right thing. You'll realize when the results start coming. His priority is America, not these leaches who suck on America's wealth for generations and still have the audacity

REPUBLICAN STUPIDITY REMEMBER AMERICA JAPAN ATTACKED US AS A RESULT OF TRADE WARS INNTHIS THE STUPID REPUBLICANS MAGA CULT PRIESTS ARE THE AGGRESSOR!!! INSANITY REPUBLICANS GSTH

80% of potash is imported from Canada. Potassium it's necessary for plant growth and a major input for farmers. The Tariffs will increase the cost per ton by at least $100 per ton. Regardless if domestic mining increases it'll result in higher grocery prices.... Again. We need to impeach this administration. Slapping tariffs on Canada which we hardly have a trade deficit with is asinine. Nevermind all the tech and service exports we send up North which probably far out paces the imports.
2025-03-04 0
@robertedward7023 It can but I think Trump is right on this one. Zelensky needs to realize that he won't get his land back that Russia took, and that negotiating is the only way to come to peace now. He's living in a fairytale world fighting an unwinnable war. I think the US is right to pull the plug on financial aid to try to pressure Zelensky to negotiate to end the war. Unfortunately, to end the war Ukraine will likely have to concede the land they lost. But the reality is Putin will never give that land back. But it's better than more people dying everyday. Zelensky has gotten all too comfortable relying on financial aid and as a result he hasn't been willing to try anything new (like negotiate) to get this war finished. If we keep sending him money, nothing will change. Now he has pressure to negotiate. the US and Canada can't keep sending money to Ukraine for the next 20 years while this war carries on.

How many pounds have you seized? Talk about results, not efforts
2025-03-04 0
It is evident that comments like the one from @robertedward7023 demonstrate many, many people do not know what took place at the meeting before this meeting which should have made this meeting a simple signing of the agreement. VP Vance corrected Zelensky for his attempt to propagate his agenda and now that Germany, France and others--as NATO countries--have jumped in, there could be consequences resulting in war if they continue to push for it. As far as Trudeau, he is on his way out according to his own resignation and he has just done Canada wrong with the faulty reasoning. I thank all military veterans for their service, but I do not approve of what they say blindly.
2025-03-04 0
For all of you supporting Zelenskyy, the man cannot even account for $100 billions -- yes, billions with a B -- given to his country, and his stupidity plays right into the hands of starting WWIII, if we're not in it already. Ukraine is just another source of money laundering, and here we are just willing to give more and more money without any result, except for dead bodies. There is nothing wrong for wanting peace. You can't negotiate with only one side. And for Canada, Canada has been charging us high tariffs for years, but no one has pointed out that unfairness.

Its a ruse, a plan... this will result in the rich getting richer and the Middle class drop into poverty.. then guess who swoops in and buys up the spoils.....
2025-03-04 0
Its insane to see the amount of people that are being manipulated by politicians only in it for personal gain. Why don't you all take a moment to go google Zelenskys home. Look at it before U.S. aid and after. Oh, wait. I forgot that as soon as that story aired, it was immediately removed from search results the same day. Or the luxury carpets that they spent millions on. So, please enlighten me as to why 2 million dollars worth of carpets are necessary during a war? By the way, that was taken from search results as well. Maybe its because democratic parties have influence over 90% of what we, as americans, use on a daily basis to gather information. I am really not on either side, but isn't the guy speaking here the one that literally resigned like 2 months ago? Everyone is so desperate to hear what they want that they are running right back into this dudes arms.

Trump is a dictator and the sooner people realize it the more swiftly we can deal with it. If somebody doesn’t reach in and stop him it will become too late. His hope is to partner up with Putin and have the two countries work harmoniously. Imagine that Russia/USA almost has a ring to it. Trump is too stupid to know what he’s doing is going to result in his own demise. We can all see it coming I just hope somebody has enough balls to stop him

While its certainly a good thing to talk about stopping the flow of migrants and drugs, but what results have taken place?\nTalk is one thing, but results are what matters.
2025-03-04 0
trump is costing farmer their markets. The US had to shell out some 32 billion as a result of his screw ups in his first term with his trade war with China. These tariffs will finish that job especially in combination with loss of farm labor, setting down USAID which purchased over 2 billion dollars in farm products , cutting conservation programs along with other support. trump should be impeached along with that WART called vance.

The only jobs at risk are Canadian ones. A direct result of incompetent boobs on both sides of the borders. He knows Canada is screwed and the times of ripping America off are over. He wouldn’t be making a speech basically begging us with this speech otherwise.

Trump has joined the same policies as Herbert Hoover and the result will be similar.

Dont forget Canada applies tariffs on a variety of goods imported from the United States, but the specific goods subject to tariffs can vary depending on the trade agreements in place, as well as individual circumstances and trade disputes. Some of the key categories of goods that have historically been subject to tariffs or trade restrictions between the two countries include:\n\t1.\tAgricultural Products:\n\t•\tDairy products: Canada has a system of supply management in place for dairy, poultry, and eggs. As a result, certain U.S. agricultural products, particularly dairy, face higher tariffs when imported into Canada.\n\t•\tPoultry and eggs: Similar to dairy, tariffs are applied to U.S. poultry and eggs under Canada’s supply management system.\n\t•\tBeef and pork: Canada has historically imposed tariffs on U.S. beef and pork, although these are often adjusted or reduced under trade agreements like the USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement).\n\t2.\tSteel and Aluminum:\n\t•\tCanada imposed tariffs on certain U.S. steel and aluminum products after the United States imposed tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum in 2018 under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. However, in 2019, both countries reached an agreement to remove some tariffs, although certain products may still be subject to tariffs or quotas.\n\t3.\tLumber:\n\t•\tSoftwood lumber is another contentious issue in U.S.-Canada trade. Canada has faced tariffs on its softwood lumber exports to the U.S. for many years, and there have been instances where Canada has applied retaliatory tariffs in response to U.S. actions.\n\t4.\tConsumer Goods and Electronics:\n\t•\tSome consumer goods, like electronics, furniture, and vehicles, may have tariffs or duties imposed depending on the category, though the majority of goods between the U.S. and Canada are traded tariff-free under the USMCA, which replaced NAFTA.\n\t5.\tAlcohol and Tobacco:\n\t•\tCanada applies tariffs and duties on alcohol and tobacco products imported from the U.S., but these are often subject to specific regulations and agreements.
