May be some immigrants need to realize that staying in expensive cities will directly impact high rent, utilities, insurance etc.

People keep saying it’s racist and anti immigrant but as a former expat, you’re out of touch with reality if you think Americans can stay somewhere illegally or can overstay our visas and just live in the host country. Please, they would have been at my door the same day it expired. Idc where you’re from if you’re here illegally you need to go. Like it’s absurd that this is even an argument. Why are Americans so soft hearted on this issue? More of us need to live in other countries to see how other places handle it because it is definitely not similar.

They need to stay in mexico and live there

They leave their country, go to Mexico then try to illegally come into the USA. Why not stay in Mexico. The US can't even take care of its own. Trump needs to do more to protect the borders. \n The illegals that are here get more money from the government than us veterans. I can barely pay my mortgage with my social security and it's a low mortgage.

When I've gone into Emergency here in Canada, you first check in and then wait for about 10 minutes to go through triage. They ask you why you've come and go over your symptoms. Then you go back and wait again. I've gone in for pneumonia at least twice. Both times I was sent for a quick check of my heart (because one of my symptoms was chest pain). When that came out fine, I was sent back to wait more. After about 20-30- minutes I was called to come into a more interior waiting area. There I just sat and dozed for several hours. Once I was in and out in 3 hours, which was really fast! Generally I count on a minimum of 5-6 hours from entry to exit. But I haven't gone in with life threatening problems. One was an injured knee. I just know that if I have to wait a long time, then I'm probably ok! If I got in too quickly, I'd worry! But there was no charge except to rent crutches one time and for the antibiotics I needed to go and get at the pharmacy. \nMy brother's first child was born a bit early but was very tiny. He had to stay in the hospital for about a month. He was also born by emergency C-section. At the end of all this, my brother said that the biggest expense was their parking bill for visiting so often. That would probably have been about $15 per day.

Need to stay away from the usa. Need to shift to maybe eu, a more stable and consistent power. Usa is losing influence real quick

Canada needs to get all new trading partners, they need to look to Europe, Asia, and other countries. There are other markets out there, especially in the EU, where they are no longer getting energy from Russia. If Canada shows any weakness Trump will hit Canada even harder, the only why Canada stays strong and comes out ahead, is to be strong. Canada will suffer for a while, but with new trade partners, Canada will be much better off.

People, don't forget that Trump is temporary and he is not the US! Unfortunately, we all have to pay by the US citizens bad choice, even the dudes that have choosen him! Americans don’t seem to understand that all the “cool things to do and see in the USA” you don’t need to actually live in the USA to enjoy those we can just get on a plane and fly to those places for vacation just like Americans do. We had our honeymoon on Oahu, stayed two weeks in a VRBO in Waianaie with all the native Hawaiians, rented a jeep, drove around, saw all the things, felt bad for all the service workers who live only on tips under labor laws that a third world dictatorship wouldn’t even subject its people to.\n\nNotice how all the things Canadians criticize America for it’s for being needlessly cruel and horrible to people when there’s the option to be compassionate and supportive and ethical?\n\nBut then every thing Americans criticize Canada for it’s for being “too compassionate”, “too supportive”, “too caring” when the option American say we should have taken instead was the the option of unnecessary cruelty?

Everyone needs to remember there is legal immigration and illegal immigration. President Trump’s wife is from Slovenia now a US citizen, while the Vice President Vance ‘s wife’s family would have originated from the Indian Sub Continent. American Nationality is a social construct you either qualify for it or you don’t. I don’t understand these individuals who enter a country illegally or legally and over stay the period stamped on their Passport. If you are stamped for 28 days you stay for no more than 28 days if on a 6 month visa you stay no longer than the visa. \n\nIt is what I would expert if I went to any other country, unless you are invading in the armed services of a country and you would be seen as an invader by that country, anyone who enters a country illegally or over stays their passport time is an invader and should be treated the same way and expelled.

I wish the Dems would realize that illegal entry cannot stand. Trump needs to make a decree that makes it impossible to get anything from any level of government. My sister is elderly and just getting well from cancer and she can't find or afford a place to live she is staying with people that she doesn't need to be staying with they are drug users and I worry about her. I'm sure if it weren't for the illegals she could find a place to live.

Unfortunately, have to agree with the fact that some Indians have exploited the visa process and made it a mess for the remaining well intentioned legal residents. Lack of proper manners, over staying, misusing the privilege, list goes on. Please understand: we need to follow rules. We are a law abiding country. Not everything is perfect, neither in India or anywhere. That does not give you the right to break rules blatantly. We don't want illegal immigrants, why would some other country want that.
