As someone that has been to almost every state except Hawaii, Alaska and i havent been to Porto Rico. But ya its violent and angry and poverty is everywhere. This is the 90's to now im talking about. \n\nExcept everyone has a choice you dont have to join a gang you can better yourself and play the victim card. There are a lot of stories of people doing the right thing despite coming from a bad neighborhood or poverty. \n\nCanada has a lot of police presence but ours are nicer most of the time

Both Canada and America have huge problems right now. As a 73yo Canadian I have NEVER seen so much hate for our Government. Everyone has the exact same complaints, like it was scripted. Our press is constantly stirring the pot and it makes unsatisfied Canadians more angry every day. The negative press pounding on our PM never ends. There are YouTube channels that take every little Canadian fault and make it into the crime of the century. Worse, they make money doing it.\n \nCanadians have been spoiled with our social services and lack of crime, and our beautiful country etc. I'm so tired of the complaining and whining that makes my life more miserable than the cost of living does. Canadians have been spoiled rotten, and now that the candy is less sweet, more expensive and less plentiful, Canadians whine and complain like spoiled children. \nMost countries in the world have the exact same problems and Canadians seem to think our problems are unique and directly connected to our Government only.\n\nAll said and done, I would still rather live in Canada with all of our faults, miserable people, and the haters. When I look at our American cousins there isn't any place on earth that I would rather live than Canada.\n\nI enjoy your channel Tyler, as it's light hearted and enjoyable to watch. Reasons I would not move to the States:\n\n1.Education is better in Canada.\n2. Too many people on the sex registry and many around you but haven't been caught yet.\n3. Police are poorly trained\n4. Pay for service Healthcare \n5. Gun laws (and I have a PAL license!) \n6. racism \n7. Very socially unaware of the rest of the planet. I've lived in Toronto for almost 20 years, and I can't wait to get out. The plan is to move somewhere else in the spring, just figuring out where. Toronto now breaks my heart-- you see people seriously struggling everywhere, and it's hard to see it in contrast with the opulent wealth that much of the city has. We're lucky to be in a rent-controlled apartment and we've been here for over a decade, and there's no way we'd find anything even remotely similar here now (the apartment we live in would go up at least $1000 if we leave). The safety is also an issue- I live in a fairly busy area that used to be extremely safe (I used to walk home alone at midnight in high school) and now I rarely leave my apartment after dark. There's very angry, erratic people, many on substances, and I've had some rough encounters already. And don't get me started on public transport.... My sister saw someone almost get randomly pushed into the subway tracks yesterday, and obviously that doesn't get reported. It's worse than people think, and it's only gonna get more horrible once winter hits.

My heart goes out to them, it really does, but it’s hard not to be angry when I see things like this. What right do they think they have? Where are these hundreds of thousands of people supposed to go in a country that can barely take care of its own legal citizens as it is?

For everyone saying that they feel bad for these people and they just want to come and work and escape oppressive governments does not even understand that those reasons are irrelevant. If all these migrants where good people and there was enough space to house and feed them with burdening the tax payer great. I have recently (and over the years) lived in many provinces. And even though I am from there (most recently 2021), Alberta has no business being anywhere near the top of the list. No one I know makes a paycheck like that and they all work 2-3 jobs to make less than what is reported. Education is low to terrible in most places outside a city, as is healthcare. The summers are either too cold or too hot and dry, and the winters are too cold, too snowy and too windy. \nIt also doesn't help most people are angry and racist. \n\nBut it was a fun interesting list nonetheless!

It's because everything is so spread out from each other in Canada and the USA. This is the same for countries such as Australia, New Zealand, etc, and only some places in Europe. When people live so far spread out from each other, there's no social interactions. So, people much more lonelier and more angry too.

Yeah is it like a private establishment where you can just deny to provide service and storm off? Is that responsible or mature? I know people are saying that they wont come to any conclusion by just seeing half of the story but in the same breadth they are also excusing and justifying the behaviour of the officer saying the couple must have done something to make him so angry, that there must be a valid justified reason for his anger.\nThats called coming to conclusions, from half side of the story nonetheless. \nGiven what we can see, officer is in the wrong to storm off and deny them service when the lady specially says her father died. Since the year 2000, the cost of owning a detached home has risen 10 folds. You could buy a corner lot house in a nice area and good location for an average of $160,000. Now that home would cost 10 times that cost in the last 20 years. Why? Foreign investors and immigration based on supply and demand as this also includes the increase in rent cost. People spend on average about $1000 to 1500 for a room to rent not their own suite in Vancouver. Twenty years ago, you could rent a whole house with a yard for that price on the waistcoats of BC. \n\nAnother issue, there are Canadians who do travel to USA due to people being in desperate need of care. USA has a wider spectrum of medical options in comparison to Canada. Canadians travel to USA because the waiting list is often way too long. Canada is nota complete free medical system as people hear and rehabilitation expenses are not free unless it is inside a hospital. It was from at one time as Medicare was founded on the grounds in the 1960's by Tommy Douglas, former premier of Saskatchewan, who initiated Medicare but it was no sustainable. \n\nJust because a person gets referred to a doctor, particularly a specialist when there are very few doctors in that area of care, it does not guarantee you will receive the treatment. I waited 2.5 years for a treatment in a hospital, only to be told that I was not a candidate for that treatment even though they did not screen me as a precursor before making a rational decision. DEVESTATING! Canadians if they have money often go to USA or Mexico when in desperate need. \n\nThere is a lack of doctors as many people do not have a family medical doctor who know their case personally. Complex diseases do not receive proper care as Canada does not have an integrated medical system of care amongst other doctors for patients. It has been on the news media where people have died being on the waiting list, returning back to hospitals where the hospital emergency because the concern of the disease was undermined with the overcrowded medical system.\n\nThere is a increased gentrification in the metropolitan cities that is an issue as the richer are now richer and the poorer are more poor. As there is an INCREASED immigration there is a huge stress in cost of living as there is not enough affordable housing and increased homelessness in Vancouver and Toronto. Expo 86 and the 2010 Winter Olympics skyrocketed tourism and immigration that many people who are born and raised here before 1986 are very angry and resentful of how drastic the decline of how the quality of life has become.

It baffles my mind people can hate certain people that they don't know because of the way they aren't white. I don't understand the motives. I find myself being prejudice towards those type of people it makes me so angry to see it or hear it being done.

I used to feel angry,when ignored by shop assistants,for whitees ,but I studied things closely,and found that whites dress up .....properly most of the time ,when going to these stores,and shabby looking white people dont get treated,better than blacks......so it gets down to the selfish silliness of the employee....as to who will actually buy their wares,and ensure their pay. Whites generally have a better earning power,so the incentives are aimed at them.
