I’m immigrant from Iraq. Came in 2009 and I can say Canada has immigration problem. There’s no way you are getting these students back to India. When I came to Canada I came because I wanted to make it my second home. A country that I’m willing to actually fight for. These guys are here just to make money and send it back to India. They don’t like Canada they don’t like Canadians they don’t care about the country and the land. They are here to milk Canada and it’s effecting Canadians. When a store whole operation is run by Indians do you think a Canadian will get hired?

75% of Americans half of Democrats and almost all of Republicans want the Border closed and everybody rounded up and sent home if you speak Spanish migrated to a Spanish country if you're a Muslim migrate to a Muslim country you have no right to come here just because you think you do if I migrate to Mexico Mexico throws me out guess what we should do to you the same thing

Why are they rushing to get into a country where they are not wanted?.talk about respecting other peoples homes.

It's a complicated situation, sad and painful but we can expext the EU to solve and take on all the issues of the arab world when arab countires are not making an effort to help there people.\n\nChange need to happen in order to help those who wants better life but it can not fall on a few countries.

Listen I feel for migrants and refugees, but it’s also not the job of other countries to take them on. Most countries are already struggling to provide for their own people. This is why I understand why leaders like Trump say he wants to send back illegal immigrants. So much resources have to provided to refugees and migrants. It’s important for people to also push back and reform their own countries. If they are seeking refuge due to circumstances beyond any control, then it’s somewhat understandable…however, many factors need to be considered before taking them on. All country’s citizens deserve the priority first. So many countries are struggling and then are expected to provide for illegal immigrants/migrants :( it’s not fair to these countries.

This is done by design. Soros once said he doesn't believe in sovereign states and borders. They want to create a global identity. That is why they destabilize countries and create mass migration. This is an invasion and they are changing the fabric of our society. This crisis is going to bankrupt our cities and country! ?

They’re are not the EUs problems. Maybe they should all stay in their country’s and rise up against the governments that are destroying their countries. The Middle East looked a lot better when European countries controlled them. Now look. Just like Africa and Asia. Now these people want to flock to Europe and destroy these European countries as well. Look at what’s happening in the UK right now.

It is exactly the same dynamic in the US. There is a pull of immigrants into the country by moneyed interests. Those who make money from selling essential goods, those who own properties to rent, those who gain from higher cost of homes, those who want to keep wages low, all benefit from the influx of immigrants. They are creating this flow.

I live in rural Atlantic Canada. There is lots and lots of land not being used. People driving long distances from their huge single family home to get to town or the city. If no Canadians are moving to the country side to start homesteads, then why not immigrants. I don't see the point of someone moving to a local small town to work in a Tim Hortons or not if there is no job available and buy franken foods from huge corporations. Instead if some immigrants want a homesteading life (some probably would), give people grants to make apartments in their huge single family farmhouses left from the days when people had ten kids, and subdivide their land so the new people can farm it. The local people can get rent money and payment for the subdivision and still have a large plot of land left over). Grow the local farmers markets! Grow the small towns to what they were 100 years ago! Make it so people only had to drive to the city when they wanted to, not for work. There is so so much empty land out here used for massive lawns.

So many people come and commit crimes, ignore our laws and live off the government. We needed certain skilled people and I could care less what country they come from as that immigration is crucial to our economy and population. Right now there isn't enough housing for our own citizens. It's irresponsible. If families want to sponsor an immigrant family that's awesome. The rest of us want our tax money actually going to our citizens. That's not racist, that's common sense.

People are poor because they are lazy. You don’t have enough money? Get a second job, get a third job! I’ve seen a lot of poor people having the latest iPhone, very expensive sneakers, etc.Learn money management skills and work, work, work if you want to have a normal life in a new country.

My parents immiagrated here like 30 years ago and made sure to live in a community with different ethnic groups so they could adapt and learn english and assimilate. No one that immigrates here does that anymore. Im canadian born and i want to leave this country for good. There is nothing here for me.

European Union now must protect itself from the invasion. It became less safe and less stable partly because of the immigrants that claim that they can do whatever they want.\n\nThe family from this video that tried to reach EU wasn't safe in Turkey? Here are some reasons why Canada should reduce immigration to achieve eventual zero-net population growth.\n\n(1) The ecology: Canada is possibly the world's worst country per capita in producing waste – certainly among the worst. (a) As of now we have a population of 40 million. At its present rate of growth our population will reach 50 million in 2041. (b) In addition, freshwater resources cannot be expanded at all, really (desalinization can only produce a drop in the bucket). Hence, look for shortfalls in water availability. (c) From a global perspective, it is the rich countries, such as Canada, that pollute the most, both absolutely and on a per capita basis. Therefore rich countries should not increase their populations. Immigrants do not come to rich countries to be better ecologists than the citizens of those countries. Immigrants to Canada want to live like Canadians, as Canadians. The problem here is not that they will not assimilate to Canadian ways, but that they will. \n\n(2) Housing: with 500,000 new immigrants a year, housing starts cannot keep pace. The result: ever-inflating housing costs. Rich immigrants compound the problem. \n\n(3) Suburbanization: most of the new housing in Canada is in highway suburbs (over 80%), with their car-driven way of life. Once again, this is bad for the country’s ecological health. In addition, the result will be ever-growing geographies of nowhere. We will not be creating more Victorias or Quebec Cities. We will be creating more Surreys. \n\n(4) Downward pressure on the incomes of most people: the law of supply and demand is very simple: when there is a surplus of any commodity, that commodity becomes cheaper. When a commodity is scarce, its value rises. Labor is a commodity. Workers rightly do not want there to be a surplus of labor. Their livelihoods are threatened. \n\n(5) Future care of the old: the more people we add now, the more people we will have to take care of later, when their working lives are done. Adding immigrants now to pay for the care of the old is therefore a pyramid scheme. Eventually, in a generation or two, the population of the world is set to decline, and the well of immigrants will run dry. Canada should aim for fewer, rather than more, retirees – as preparation for that coming moment.

The people already living in the countries that a Trillion of immigrants want to go to can not afford to pay more tax dollars to support these people. SEND THEM BACK!!! ? we have families to support, no money left to support strangers!!!!

Migration is not the problem. The problem is those military age men with those fancy degrees who are cowards and run away instead of building their country and make it strong, they rather get everything for free from Europe who also refuse to adapt to new culture and follow the law of the land and want Europeans to submit to them. Europe needs to send them to prison. Rather take good people who will benefit Europe with culture and knowledge.

There is literally nothing wrong with not wanting immigrants in your country. Even more so when it's illegal

sigh.... what do u expect EU to do for you? EU has housing millions of migrants now, they dont want anymore. Most migrants and refugees all wanan go to germany, france, uk... They had enough also. Meanwhile, eastern border countries dont wanna accept these people also, because they know the western european countries wont want them either. Nobody wants to accept these migrants. It's sad, but also understandable. Dont blame the migrants who want to seek better lives for themselves, we all do. Don't want immigrants? then stop supporting policies that destabilizes other countries. More destabilization leads to more immigrants. You can complain about it when you support policies that created the problem.

Its not scapegoating immi-grants. We simply just cant build as fast as immigration is going on in the west. Even if we could build as fast, do we really want to become overpopulated countries with less nature?

People are fighting each other without realizing that the real problem has always been the growing capital accumulation since the 1960s, which has led first-world countries to face this issue nowadays. Most politicians don't want people to stand up against the wealthy, better to have an easy target than to face the actual problem.\n Eat the rich!

I keep thinking that people will smarten up but in fact it continues to get worst. People continue to vote for the very political party that made this all possible. \nWe cannot sustain all these people. We need to fix the issues going on in our country with our own people first before we can even think about helping anybody else. And plus with all the determination that these fighting age men that are crossing. It's not racism! It's regular people who want to protect their way of life. A way of life that made their country great. If the roles were somehow reversed and Brits went to middle-eastern countries, didn't conform to the culture and lifestyle, and then started turning their host countries into something that resembled Western countries, these middle-easterners would have rioted decades ago!

too many coming in at once do not have the chance to assimilate into our culture. too many at once creates a shadow country where pple stay with the familiar and of course want to replicate what they are familiar with. this isnt rocket science its common sense. being against current immigration practices doesnt mean anti immigrant. in a way everyone is being set up here.

They migrate into foreign countries and then they want the locals to Intergrate into their beliefs and cultures.

Corporations and businesses want an increasing supply of cheap labour. The real estate/development industry wants a growing market. The International School industry lobbies for increased numbers. Canadian governments have failed the citizens of Canada who sacrificed, paid taxes and literally built this country. Replacement Theory is a reality for many Canadians these days.

Why do you want to impose your call to prayer on the rest of us? Literally in NYC 2001 Having been through 9/11 that music is a reminder the hate and division created by your people. It is stealing for what past residents worked for. It is not xenophobic. Every world citizen wants settlers in their country that share their values

Why dont they go to a muslim country if they want sharia law, there are plenty of muslim countries that they could go to, but of course they do not have a decent benefit system. If Islam is such a great idea, which I have no argument with in principle, surely these people would be more comfortable on one of those countries rather than being in this country which they seem not to like ??

This is SUCH a puff piece completely one sided that dismisses legitimate concerns as the only reason being xenophobic......Canada has always welcomed people but it was done at a lot slower pace where people had a chance to assimilate and build a life. You can't add over a million people a year with different cultures and pretend it's going to be ok. Ignoring the massive housing crisis, it's a culture crisis. A lot of the people coming do not share Canadian values, period. Canadians are noticing a massive change in the country they love seemingly overnight. You go out in any city and you barely see white people anymore. It's jarring. It was made into an amazing country by certain people and now it seems new immigrants are treated better than citizens. Everyone is in favor of immigration done the right way, but that isn't what's happening and natural born Canadians have every right to be upset that the country is being ruined in a way they don't want.

There are very few normal people except the dredges of society who migrate to western countries and maybe a few super super rich. The west made it so hard to jump through all the hoops that normal middle class would not want to put in the effort to degrade themselves and go west. The result is Canada and most of the west get the worst type of migrants and yet the west makes it even harder paradoxically and ends up with even more boat people!

I don’t even necessarily blame the government. I blame the for profit immigration centers in foreign countries that sell canada as this utopia rich land. We’ve been struggling for years and it’s not fair for those who come here being told it’s paradise and they’ll make all the money they want when it’s not true. It’s fraudulent

I think the real reason are:\n\n1. Refugees from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Syria and Asylum seekers from Africa.\n2. Foreign investment in housing was allowed until 2022 which played a major part in prices going up.\n3. 1+ Million International students allowed in 3 years.\n4. Average Canadian doesn't want to work a minimum wage job, especially now working with foreign people.\n\nBlaming one government, country or race wont help. That is just jealousy towards most common looking immigrant, which are South Asians.
