This started well before 2016. I lived in Brampton 2013 to 2015 and there were so many job agencies and Immigration companies that catererd to only Indians and they will turn you away if you are not Indian. I was surprised that the law did not intervene. It was a shit show then with so many racist Indians and Pakistanis, crime-ridden and just horrible so I can't imagine what it's like now. SO many mosques and barely any churches. Let's not even get into the shitty drivers that live there....smh

My families from Asian is planning moving to Canada because i wanted my kids getting new experiencs of their study in Canada and i heard of good health care system. I and my husband with a daughter and a son. Hearing all these concerns made me worried more of future living there as immigrants. Can you advise if i should move to Canada?

Multiculturalism is a strength huh? Your economy doesn't improve without mass immigration huh? What a load of outright lies! I'm not a huge fan of massive immigration but I honestly think the reason some of the white Canadians are homeless is because they don't want to work. Indians who come here all support each other and they're willing to do anything to make money; pizza delivery, 7/11 clerk, etc...they live in small spaces...many of them together and within a few years of hardship they save enough money to buy homes. This is not the case with some of the Canadians or Quebecors for that matter. They make fun of immigrants but are unwilling to do dirty jobs and would prefer to live off welfare....once I told a white bum who seemed in good health to go and find work, he got very aggressive. Anyway, everything is relevant!!!

People across the country are now calling it racist to only acknowledge and recognize the original Canadian holidays we've been recognizing and celebrating for well over 100 years!! They're saying we have to start implementing and recognizing other immigrant holidays... for human rights? Go back to your own country if that's how you want to live. Mostly Muslims. Hardly any white people live in Scarborough anymore. If you are see one, they are usually immigrant Eastern Europeans.

I'm an Indian immigrant and lived in ON. I drove through Brampton once and I vowed to never go back there again. But you see this is a vicious consequence of declining birth rates in Canada. Christianity is trampled upon along with its values and principles and this is one of the results. The first thing I asked the day I landed was where were all the Canadians? Have they left the planet? \n\nA country needs people and once a certain ethnic population grows in strength and in numbers the landscape is sure to change. Besides, Canada does not demand immigrants assimilate into the culture, instead it's vice versa and it's disappointing. And when you give up Christianity, what do you expect immigrants to embrace? DEI? That's the last thing they will and continue to push their religions. \n\nBesides, what is Hindu and Pakistani? One is a religion and the other is a nationality. You may want to review that data cos something is off if it's categorized in such a manner.

I travelled extensively in India and felt very safe 90% of the time. Mostly lovely generous kind people who are very family oriented and well educated. The illegal immigrants and street living non Indians would be a bigger concern for me.

Everyone complaining should ask themselves a few questions. These Indians and by extent all immigrants have significant barriers. I'll refer to only indians here. They have names which are hard to pronounce. Some of them have a look only a mother can love. They cant speak as well as we do. We cannot understand them. Majority of them come here w nothing. Yet...yet...they have become THE Richest diaspora in America and they are not doing too badly here in Canada as well. Now you have to ask yourself why is this the case. They start frombthe bottom and in 20 years or less they end up at the top. I think most rational sane ppl will know the answer, other immigrants will know the answer. The answer is: they work hard at educating themselves and then they work hard at their jobs. Some of you will say they get tax breaks and child tax subsidies etc. But those things are handouts...its not designed for you to become rich from, just to keep from drowning. So its not handouts. They literally work hard all their lives. Do you see any of them at the ball game? Or out partying? Or out having a grand time. The same ones delivering your uber eats in 20 years will be richer than you. Even with all the barriers I mentioned before. I am an Eastern European national whos been here for the past 40 years.

In Australia here government are bringing hundreds of thousands of new immigrants to Australia.\nWith no provision where these new immigrants will live.\nAnd that put pressure on existing house ?? prices.\n\nThe government were the sole problem creating hardship for people.

I retuned to Canada, and now live in Toronto, after 16 years overseas, and I believe that your comments are fair, balanced and reasonable. I believe that the issues are primarily the result of failure of governance at every level. We all know that we need significant immigration if we are to support our rapidly aging population, but simply bringing new people in without effective plans to integrate them into our society is a predictable recipe for trouble.

I understand, immigration should in control. But these losers talking about culture and crap but speak weird english and that too living for 40 years in the country.

Immigration started the country but at some point it should have been stopped. Also, the immigrants should have not been allowed to all live in the same plat. They should have given up their old culture and adapted.

Immigrants are working for Canada, that's why. It's money. It's not the immigrants fault, its Trudeau's. People around the world will move to where the grass is greener and will bring the culture and religion as well. I don't like the idols being around Canada, it is not compatible to Christian values. It's scary when it comes down to division in religion. Also, housing or living conditions for those who can't afford it, they ended up living in unsafe tiny spaces. Some are so vulnerable. Again, it's not their fault but just like US, it's open borders.

The Indians 'living well' are being funded from India to be able to pay for school, they are also living too many in a house to minimize costs. They are not on the government dole. \n\nThis report is the bare minimum and didn't delve any deeper into any of the issues. \n\nThe government isn't helping anyone, the Canadians on drugs and destitution aren't in that state because of the Indians going to school. The Indians are subsidizing the institutions of higher learning in Ontario because they have to pay more than the locals. \n\nIt will all come crashing down, in the future, even the Indians will be destitute as will everyone else in Canada if the W E F plans go through. Mass immigration is part of it and the Indians are also getting screwed over, even selling land back home to be able to try to make it in Canada.

Windsor , ON is exactly the same way. And its not the immigrants to blame, we have a corrupt and irresponsible Government who likes to play politics with peoples lives. They don't care about the heritage of Canada is all but gone, they don't care about how Canadians feel or how badly the new immigrants struggle along side. It's the same thing in Ottawa. I moved here in 2019 from Montreal and the culture shock was immediate. I've already made up my mind to leave the country because it's absolutely finished. If all goes to plan, I'll be out of here by 2026. Canada will become an Indian majority country in less than 20 years and Canadians are asleep at the switch. They don't seem to understand or care what happens when you dump a million or more immigrants per year into a country of just 40M and while Indians aren't bad people per se, even they will tell you that the new stock of Indians coming into the country isn't the same as the old. They're far more tribal than they ever used to be. Trudeau opened the floodgates, but I don't think Poilievre will be able to close them. I live in his riding and there are a loooot of indians here. There's no way he'll want to risk stirring up the hornet's nest. The Canada we knew is on death's doorstep.

Unlike most of the comments here, I absolutely love being a Canadian. I have a rare health condition and the government covers 100% of my medicine costs which is thousands of dollars a month. It’s also safe here and there’s so much opportunity. I immigrated when I was 4 years old from Pakistan and even when I go back to visit, Canada is like heaven on earth compared to Pakistan. The medicine I need to live a healthy is isn’t even made or offered in Pakistan. I’ll forever be a proud Canadian. Thank you Canada ❤

Indian Immigrants are working hard in western countries to feed themselves and their families who still live in India. and that's you do to them.

I grew up in Malton (borders Brampton) in the 1980's and it was all Western European and Canadian folks and it was great. Such a sense of community and everyone knew everyone. Us kids would stay out until the street lights came on and played in Parks. It was really safe. We moved away in 2006 because the area had gone such down hill by 1999 and the crime was horrible. Stolen cars, alcohol and drug abusing Punjabi folks and the domestic partner violence of the Indian men beating the crap out of their wives was insane. (I had a friend that was a Peel Region Police officer who ended up leaving because she couldn't take seeing it any longer). I have nothing against Immigration, because my dad was an immigrant, but I do have a problem with the amount of any one country we let in, and the types of people that we let in that contribute to crime and area degradation. It's so sad the slums that have become in Brampton and Malton since we left. I'm glad we got the heck out of there when we did. I feel sorry for all those that are stuck there still. Furthermore with such an influx of immigrants into one area it has driven the house prices and rent through the roof because the pace of immigration was nowhere near the housing starts, and cities think that everyone needs to be packed in like sardines and when you have that many people living in close proximity and you have such expensive living costs it's a disaster waiting to happen and it brings along with it tons of crime and drugs. The Trudeau government really messed up this country and the GTA Cities like Brampton are a shining example of that. It's sick that we pay as much as we do for government at all levels that are this idiotic. It's time we protested in the street and made the government at all levels fear the public again or it's never going to change.

Drugs is a personal choice. Seek help. Don't blame others / immigrants for your poor choices. It's not fair to point at an easy target. Don't live a blame free life.

Listen as a minority person who is proud of my heritage but grew up here with immigrant parents who were given refuge in Canada, I can understand immigration. But...its getting out of hand, most of them are from India, most of them have homes in India and often return there for long vacations, These are not refugees or a diverse spread of peoples coming here. I am not hateful in any way but sometimes you have to tell it like it is, A lot of these people are not adapting to the culture here, why? Because most of them are grown already and are used to their own customs, with an ever increasing population now living here they don't really feel the need to learn or adapt because there are less regular Canadians. When I was in school it was already pretty multi-cultural and diverse although yes in my area there are less asians and black people, we had a lot of European(Serbian/Romanian) in particular. Now I go to the store and it's like 80% brown/Indian people lol, even my neighbors, most have moved out and more indian families are moving in. My city is expanding into like a mini Toronto when we can't even handle it, people cant even find jobs, people need all this other stuff, Its just too many all at once, crime rates have gone up over the last few years, this doesn't help anyone, immigrants either.

I'm all for immigration to help a country grow however, what Canada has done is first, bring in too many at once and not INTEGRATED the new comers. \n\nFact is, if you want to go to a country because of their freedom and job opportunity then don't come and try to change the country into what you just fled from!!\n\nAnd this is what has happened. Canada has allowed our laws and even speech change to cater to a foreign culture and political idea. Canada became great for what it was and ways it was not for socialism and other country politics. We've got road sign in Pakistan and some in Mandarin and some in blah blah blah. Too many languages creates divide and this is the other issue. Our own country, a country that designates french or English has signs and communities designated in foreign languages. This is not acceptable and is a cause creating divide. You come, you learn the language and INTEGRATE! We loved our country, you wanted to come for what our country has so don't try to turn it into the country you fled! And stop alienating the people who were here before you. \n\nSo, these are the two BIG ISSUES Canadians complain about. Rightfully so. \n\nI myself don't live in Ontario but find Alberta has become a foreign country and I feel like I am in danger now in my own lands. Integration is so important, and Trudeau bringing in millions in a short time line did not integrate but now caused a great deal of violence and many new comers confused and hateful to Canadians when they simply don't understand that what they have done is not integrate but are overtaking and we feel at war with them.

It's easy to get swayed by a lot negative narratives out there; but Canada has great potential if more intelligent, young, and energetic immigrants like you, work to improve their lives here! Why is no one talking about the connection between mass immigration and mass deforestation, I live in Durham region. We are losing all of our forests and all of our farm lands, replaced with inefficient homes filled with breeders driving around in SUV's. How is this good for the environment or the planet?

Irresponsible mass immigration = high housing demand = inflated market values = high mortgages and rents = some losing their homes because they are unable to pay the mortgage / rent, or even find an affordable place to live anymore. Then there's the issue of a shortage of jobs due to companies hiring mostly immigrants seeking citizenship and paying them a low wage in exchange because the companies know they're desperate. We need to stop blaming immigrants and start blaming our government, and ultimately corporations, for the way things are.

We have the same problem. I actually like the people, but….somehow, immigrants have managed to have been able to acquire the vast majority of retail jobs in our area. How is that possible? There are businesses and fast food chains with not one white person working as an employee. I spoke to a former worker that was at one of these businesses for years and asker her WTF happened? She told me that the company hired a new manager from India, within 6 months, half the staff were Indian, local students were not being hired for part time jobs, only Indians, by the end of the year, every single employee was Indian. \nShe along with other quit their jobs because….not because they’re racist, but because not only were they being treated differently than the now majority brown workers, but they were being made to feel excluded because…the manager and the new staff all spoke a different language, they would all work together in a group not speaking English at all, saying things and laughing making it pretty obvious that they were making fun of the white employees. The “manager” would ignore the white staff’s complaints and he would then seemingly punish them by giving them less hours, change their duties and give “the good shifts” to the new brown people to the point where the white people were made to feel alienated as well as cutting back their hours leaving them with not enough hours to make a living. “This is Canada Mother Fecker” these people need to speak our language when they’re in public or at the workplace with “Canadians” or…employers should fire them. I will note, that the A&W that this happened at, has changed not only by every single employee being brown, but the service is not near as friendly, they all speak to each other in a different language behind the counter.. the seating area is not even close to being clean, the tables usually are left with trays and garbage that aren’t being cleaned as customer leave. It so bad sometimes that I literally have to pick a dirty table and remove the garbage myself because every available table has not been cleaned….and the bathrooms …. I don’t even want to talk about it they’re so disgusting. And when you complain….they turn to other employees and speak a different language… so we have no idea about WTF they are actually doing or saying about the issue. “ Thank you Sir, we will take care of that.” And the next day…it was the same. I’ve stopped going there along with everyone that I know…our work crew along with our families can no longer support such a dirty, rude and disrespectful business.

There are foreigners in india that live there (thats okay) - Theres 550 “Canadian” companies operating in India ?? Justin Trudeau and Sean Fraser letting in a million Indians to study at strip mall colleges is what caused our housing crisis. i thought we got rid of places like Devry and ITT Tech a long time ago, why are we being flooded with phony diploma mills now all of a sudden? importing millionaires from India and China has out-competed middle class Canadians for housing, you need overseas money or you have to be part of organised crime to own a home in southern ontario now. document fraud seems to be rife in the Indian community, but nobody ever seems to get deported, why is that? i don't think India or China would tolerate a bunch of newcomers breaking the rules in their country, why are we allowing it in Canada? Canada isn't building enough houses for all the people its letting in, our infrastructure is in desperate need of upgrades. we have no rapid transit outside of Toronto. Canada needs to limit newcomers to 250,000 a year and put an end to the international student scam. They are taking all the well paid jobs by lying in their resume. They charge 1/5th of what other real professional would charge and they learn on the job all the skills that they have on their resumes. The low rate works for them as they have low living expenses and of course much better than a blue color job as other immigrants do when they first move to Canada until they orient themselves ... Canada for sure is becoming the new India in terms of living standards. (Toronto should be called New Delhi)

These scam-visa immigrants lower wages, spike housing cost, and cost of living, and lower overall standard of living... It's always been this way. The French and English were in their separate enclaves in the beginning. The Irish, Scottish and Germans then established their bases where they could more easily integrate into their new societies….The Italians and Portuguese and Greeks and other Euros set up shop in the 50's 60's and 70's…Most of them lived among their own communities with familiarity…Same for all the Asian and African, S.American, Carribean immigrants and others ever since…. They may stay a generation or two in these communities, but children of immigrants lean to living wherever suits them. It's like the evolution of immigrant societies. This is happening all over the world at this moment, and people of all races ,creeds and colours are complaining of other groups of peoples of all races, creeds and colours moving into and sometimes engulfing their communities.\nSome communities have been Gentrified…Do we shake our fists in the air and scream ' Damn those young professionals!!?' Other communities have been inundated by hordes of Seniors. It wouldn't surprise me if the blatant racists commenting on this site didn't suggest Euthanasia in such cases, or perhaps loading them onto ice-floes and tugging them out to sea. If you're not happy, MOVE! If you can't adapt, or if you can't see that we're really all the same, all wanting the same things in life, or if you don't realize that most people from these countries are actually really nice and worth knowing, well don't go away angry, just go away to wherever suits you. Perhaps there's an Ice floe out there for you somewhere.

the amount of immigrants that have moved into my Small town Amherst NS has well surpassed us AmherstStonians that have lived here ! im a 37 year old white female born and raised Canadian that speaks English and everywhere i go there is a employee that doesnt understand what im saying, everywhere i look there is a place posted for rent thats overpriced & a business being sold to the wealthy , where the take the small town feel and what do these newcomers bring ?? nothing !!? they take from Canada & i wish they would go back to where they come from ! your not Canadian and u know it \nbut they prob don't understand my english right

I’ve said that many times in Ontario , I don’t feel I’m in my own country , when you go in stores many working there aren’t friendly , don’t acknowledge you speak over the PA. You can’t understand them when calling to work on tails are on the floor.. immigrants having taken over our country even on the streets , they don’t adapt to our country laws or way of living , it’s like being in the twilight zone . If we went to any of their countries we would have to go by their rules of law , we need to take our Canada back & keep our freedom . Our country is so broken because of liberal governing . That one lady said it best if we immigrate to a foreign country we would have to adapt to their culture. People should do it here. I have no issues with immigration or immigrants. Have your church’s or mosques and practice your beliefs but don’t expect your new host country to bend to your wishes or beliefs, the former Australian Prime Minister said it best “you chose to come here we didn’t ask you come. the country is predominantly Christian if you don’t like it, go back to where you came from or find somewhere else to to live.”

This is pretty hard to describe as multiculturalism. I have no issue with Indian Canadians whatsoever. A lot of really good hard working poeple come here from there, and I respect their culture. My concern is how we maintain Canadian amid this type of immigration 15:21 seems like there is no real attempt to integrate new Canadians to our system and beliefs. We don't want to end up like Europe where foreign cultures have imposed themselves on the population. We shouldn't have to adapt or adjust to other cultures they came here to share and improve our way of life. Canada has a dignified history worthy of preservation despite our mistakes in the past. Our grandparents didn't lay their lives down for to capitulate in becoming a post national state.\nOur leaders are bringing shame to the sacrifice of previous generations.

I am not Anti immigrant I realize we need a certain amount of immigrants but the amount we are talking in his ludicrous. \nI have nothing against Indians but I don’t want to live in India. Immigration is good when done correctly but with the majority of people who come here they do not want to be Canadian. They don't want to live with us. So many never talk English and they want to live with their people, they own way and pretend we don't exist and are living in their country in ours. It sucks working with people who can speak english but 95% of the time they only talk in their language. Then they mention your name as they arent speaking english. It\\'s a shitty feeling and a lot of them don't care.

I live in the French quarters in Winnipeg, and over the past few years it has become Little Africa, a huge influx of immigrants. It has changed the neighbourhood a lot.

This video is very biased as he is interviewing folks right next door to the large halfway house for those in recovery. It's not like he's travelled to various parts of Brampton. In my city (Windsor, Ontario) we have a college and university that have literally set up “recruitment” centres IN INDIA. I don’t blame the foreigners for coming here, they do it legally and honestly a bunch that I have talked to are struggling themselves.. I’m talking like, 12 guys to a small shared living space (which also negatively effects rent prices.. especially where I live) They expect to come here for a better life but they’re just thrown in the mix with those of us who are already drowning. \n\nThe government just stopped caring about its citizens and it’s really scary. They take the immigrants money and our taxes and they’re content.\nA friend was asked to leave a job fair because it was over capacity.. getting even a minimum wage job is damn near impossible now. \n\nAlso, question, I heard the reason that all minimum wage jobs (fast food restaurants, Walmart etc.) are only hiring Indians is because the government reimburses the employer half of their wage. I tried to do some research on this but couldn’t find anything.. is this true and being kept hush-hush? If it is, we need more people to speak out on this.

I immigrated to Canada, stayed there for more than 10 years. In 2018 I came back to my home country. Canada sucks, it destroys lives.

Trying to find a job here in Canada is insane. i dont live near a big city by any means, but all low skill, fast food/grocery store jobs are now filled with punjabs. i see the job postings and i apply every time, but I'm constantly overlooked because i am not Punjabi. It is illegal to discriminate against job seekers but they do it so blatantly!\nive lived here my whole life, and now trying to get a job that requires no qualifications is one of the hardest things to do. i think immigrants can be beneficial to our society, but not when they come in swarms from the same country, unskilled, and are butting heads against the lower class people already living here for housing and jobs. just, no.
