I’m 47 years old, black (Caribbean descent) and have lived in Canada my whole life. I’ve lived in Montreal, Toronto and Calgary and visited all over the country. Have never experienced any racism of any kind. Toronto and Montreal in particular are incredibly diverse. Not sure how you would see any overt racism in those places. I don’t trust this lady’s story at all. Sounds like she’s making it up as she goes along tbh. The police told us they were good guys from good families and they closed the case saying my brother pushed himself out of the window. His case and many others never made the news. They didn’t offer any investigations into it. They brushed that back under the rug saying it was sad, the end.
