A lot of people in this country don’t realize how much of a gift it is to be born in Canada, as a son of two immigrants who left their country, their family, their beliefs only for me to have a better life here in Canada. It’s mind boggling for me how people born here haven’t taken advantage of the infinite amount of opportunities. I have not finished high school but have worked on bettering myself since the day I dropped out, this life is not for the weak minded it’s for the risk takers. If the homeless who lived here their entire life couldn’t make it happen for them and are not happy with their current situation I would strongly advice them to seek help for their mental health, change their bad habits, quit their addictions and if that doesn’t suffice maybe move to a third world country just to experience true homelessness, true hopelessness..

These geniuses voted for someone who has no interest in monetary policy, believes that budgets balance themselves and admires China's dictatorship. What did these geniuses actually expect from such a leader? Fiscal and economic policy is overtax overborrow and overspend. All spending is aimed at the perpetual pursuit of virtue signaling, photo ops and vote whoring. This incompetent and irresponsible overspending will turn Canada into a pathetic country of impoverished beggars at the mercy of government handouts. The trust fund fuhrer is a Soviet Socialist who, instead of fixing what doesn't work, keeps throwing resources at it until it does, if it does. Soviet Socialism, the collectivisation of misery. The result is Canadians, like Soviets, get to wait in line at food banks for a meal. Unlike Soviets who lived in crappy apartments, Canadians get the luxury of living in tents or cars. When clowns vote for clowns you inevitably get a circus.

This country is a joke. As a Canadian living abroad. Other countries take care of their own long before a foreigner. Canada needs to have more pride with the people who built this country which is Canadians who have paid their dues and their parents. If you're a refugee we shouldn't deny you a plate of food but if my neighbor doesn't have it I'll serve him long before you, these are my people - the ones who has supported me in periods of unemployment, childhood - you can pay your dues too or don't come here. Look to your neighboring countries who share the same creed and where you can integrate better as you come here for our services. I wish Canada was less Socialist to attract only people who can pull their own weight. Socialism never works.

Lifetime Canadian here; housing crisis for sure, but what`s even more insidious is many entry level jobs such as fast food industry, production workers in factories, and even culturally significant cornerstones such as Canadian Tires are being owned and operated by East Indians, going so far as to play Indian music over their loudspeakers for us Canadians (both at a McDonald`s and at a Canadian Tire). It`s obnoxious and border lining on reverse racism; because trust me, these people will drive out all the nationals, and replace them with their own temporary workers, whom they have much more control over, and are likely infringing on human rights concerns (taking passports, multiple human occupancy housing), it`s a mess here. If you live in Ontario, Alberta (lots of Indian corruption there and in BC) and British Columbia, you know exactly what I am talking about.\n\nI am actively trying to get out of Ontario and ultimately and ideally, Canada.

Infrastructures are all collapsing and with government determined to keep importing at 500,000 plus a year things can only get worse. Canadians tend to be smug types who think they live in an unpopulated version of the US and have no idea of its severe limitations. There is no 'we' anymore. The nascent identity and culture has been shattered by a specious 'multiculturalism' which pushes classic Canadians to adapt to the customs of migrants rather than the logical opposite. One doesn't need a house in Canada. You go rent an apartment and you may live. Of course, if you earn 2000.00 to 4000.00 CAD per month. Which is rather difficult for immigrants. Usually, your pay is 10.00 CAD per hour, which gives you 1600.00 CAD per month. Which is way too little for covering your bills. Government instead of building cheap communal blocks of flats is building condos. But the cheapest condominium costs 500K CAD and show me people who can afford it....? You buy and pay monthly rent, yeah 2500.00 4500.00 per month only to cover rent. Plus 186.00 for internet and TV, 30.00 for stationary phone, 45.00 for mobile, 600.00 for monthly food for 2, plus meds, dentist, cabbies, electricity, water, then you add toilette, laundry liquid, toilet paper, towel paper, cat food, dog food, then the bill goes over 6000.00 if you wanna live in the condo. You have always private sector housing where monthly rent is from 900.00 to 2500.00, which depends on the district and quality of the apartment. For the landlord, you must pay monthly and renew lease each year. If you have roaches or bed bags, it's a bigger problem for you. Not every landlord uses paste. They use spray, which is not a roach killer at all, and whole your apartment will stink for months. Private sector has thin ceilings and wooden floors, so loud noise of your neighbour's may disturb your night rest or cigarettes. Smoke may fill up your space. Beware when getting sick. Family doc is unavailable, usually if you have one or at all if you don't.

I understand that it's difficult but to complain about paying high taxes to help others, don't forget that others may feel the same way about having to pay taxes for immigrants from Africa. You are complaining about the same system that you relied on. You have come to learn how tax payers may have viewed you...kind of a double standard..if I am going to live in another country because I can't make enough money in my own country I wouldn't be complaining...if you are only there to make money and think you can make more in the states you will only work harder for less in the states

I was born in South Africa but my father moved us to Quebec City (where he was born) to live in 1991. Now he feels that he's got nowhere to go. He knows Canada is finished, but where is there to go? He's too old to start anew.

1,27 million people added in just 1 year. Albeit most of it temporary workers, this is a disaster for the younger generations trying to make it in the middle class. The housing market is insane right now, if your family was middle class just 10 years ago then you will automatically be lower class once out of education no matter your degree. I know 30 years olds engineers living in shared flats in Calgary with full time jobs. Life has become a sad rat race for the average Canadian.

Ideaologies and climate change are being used as a smoke screen to shame those who oppose this many immigrants or being over taxed, its a form of narcissistic abuse on the population. I could care less if we can't staff drive-thrus. Nobody should have to pay someone else's mortgage to live in a house they'll never own themselves. Canada is ruined and the cause is greed, corruption, nepotism and apathy.

I lived on the streets of Toronto for over 3 years between 1997 & 2001. I'd always been a bisexual 'loose, wild and crazy girl' as they say, and for me it was a natural progression. When I was 20 my family immigrated here from South Africa but I was way too immature so Quebec City and I didn't get along. I and a girlfriend hitchhiked out to run wild in Toronto. The fun only lasted the summer and then I spent 3 years living on the streets there. Doing 'the job' just to get by becomes a chore for sure. I spent one winter in a tent city near the lake but too many people made it a violent place. My last winter out there I spent in the Don Valley with a small group, moving our encampment every few days. I would likely have ended up dying out there but a guy I scarcely knew at the time drove all the way to T.O. and spent a week looking for me and just by luck found me when I was at my lowest and willing to go home.

Canadians are always welcome here in Australia - we just don't have anywhere for you to live within 100km of a population centre.

We have been living in the suburb of Toronto for over 40 years, and this was the best city to live in , but Trudeau has made a mess of this country . Cost of living is very high. Traffic is bad. Crime rate is high. Trudeau needs to go.

From having lived in 4 of the G7 countries over the past decade, I think Canada is the worst by far. Although it’s disingenuous to blame everything on immigration. The woke prime minister and his cuckoo policies deserve the blame too.

Well, not to worry...this world is about to change beyond the imagination...canada and the rest of the world will be living in abundance in the near future...no matter, I plan on leaving canada when things become better, and they WILL get better...but, for me, architecture is a major issue...the buildings/houses here look more like institutes and 'feel' cold; whereas some other places look more like what I love...Tartarian buildings...so I'm gonna be moving to a place that has more Tartarian buildings that are more welcoming and warm...just sayin... ✌✌

I live in a big city and I haven't had a doctor for over 10 years. Now my wife's doctor also retired and she has no doctor now. \nCanada is fast becoming a disaster.\nI suspect people are leaving in droves.
