Justin Trudeau and the liberals have destroyed this Country. I was born and raised in Canada in a town in Ontario along one of the Great Lakes Lake Erie. My parents and even their parents were born and raised in that same area I am from and Canada was a great place but since Justin Trudeau become PM everything started to change and not in a slow unnoticeable way it was fast. Drugs and homelessness started to become a thing something I have never seen in my life and even my neighbourhood and town started to change too with people that don't speak english and wait times in the ER started to be so much longer and even finding a doctor when I moved to the city was impossible to get. I have not traveled much only in a car or truck and never been on a airplane but I am considering moving out of Canada too. I am going to wait and see what happens in the election and see if things begin to charge before I leave the only place I know and start new somewhere else. I have been thinking of Southeast Asia like Laos or Thailand because there Canadian funds are worth something and you can live and at for very cheap and get a very nice place for half or less of what rent is here.

I am a returning German, after 36 years abroad, and the greatest impact on me is how little friendly most people are, limited sense of humor, rigid closed mindset, and so much complaining. It’s even more frustrating when it’s your own country. I don’t know if it was always like that, but then I was a teenager. Of course, there are great people but what I mean is the general air specifically when you just arrived. The low wages and high taxes of course do not help, but I don’t think that’s the full story.

The Best think I did was learnt German. Once I can speak that, you just glide through the society. Viva Deutschland !

I'm experiencing something similar, I wanted to travel when I was younger and even did tourism at university but never ended up having the means to do it and family dependent on me financially. That's changed in the last year but I then came to a realisation when looking at buying a home, why buy here when I can emigrate like I used to think about? Even if I didn't like it in the end it would be a working holiday, and I'd have more opportunity to travel as well. Saving some more money up then applying next year, think I'd regret not doing it.

I too am thinking of leaving. Sad but our governments have failed the people again and again to the point where it's not worth living here anymore. I was born and raised in Canada but I am taxed to death and it's tougher and tougher to keep the middle class status.

I think it is largely due to really poor and incompetent leadership and to some extent, a lack of independence to do what is best for Canada instead of another country. As a Canadian, I am proud that we are finally the best at something even if it's a housing crisis lol. I lived in Vancouver for a while which is worse than Toronto for housing and I frequently saw adds that said: looking for female roommate to share bed, cleaning duties required also cooking, single female only 25-30 y'o 400$/mo and then there was a selfie of a 40-50 years old man. When I first moved there years ago, I rented a small room for 600$ i think (2015 or so) and there was no heating at all in the house. I was lucky to find a place in Fall before it got too cold but I was already uncomfortable. Apparently ''amenities included'' doesn't mean it's heated.

German language mandatory should'nt be made mandatory to having internship or work student. If they yhry continue you to do then this problems will be an never ending issue. They will always short for skilled labour in their entire life. Goverment has to think about

Canadians are the last people to complain about immigrants, a huge portion of their doctors, engineers, nurses are immigrants. Even with that the shortage of these jobs is huge. It is like we are paying backwards, where our money earned right now is taken away from us to pay for the pensions of retired people who earned those rights to a government pension years or decades ago during their working lives. We are then given points, with the hope that the next generations one day pay for our own pensions. Thereby, each and every person currently on pension could have enjoyed the benefits of decades of compounding growth!\n\nNow we are here, as the video says, 2 workers are needed to cover the pension of 1 retired person. This is absolutely absurd and they will never be able to attract 400,000 new skilled workers every year with the current issues highlighted in this video.\n\nMy best advice - when you are working in Germany, seriously think about it to save and invest a portion of your net income and prepare yourself for a future where you cannot solely rely on your German pension!

I was not interested in Germany before the video because I don't think or get the vibe Germany is welcoming or at the very least, their sense of humour is too different for me to cope with but after watching the video, the answer is the same, not interested. Because it seems like high command in the german language from the get go is expected and tax is high and rent is unaffordable.

I think that learning the laguage is essential when you want to live in another country.

I also didn't like the answer by the comissioner, because she told in a way that this is a responsibility by every country to take refugees. By this answer she provides the wrong signal to asylum seekers (that they can demand something from host countries) and also I don't think that it should be a respinsibility of the states, but their will. It should be win-win offer for both sides. But of course I think everybody would like to help to people in the trouble, but recources are not infinite everywhere also. And also there are a lot of imposters. That's why I don't like when governments provide too much social support for all. It should be, but limited. And motivate people to be independent.

More skilled labors will be leaving Germany. My brother a senior softwares engineer already decided to leave Germany due to unbearable high cost for living and unable to afford a house for his wife and two daughters working overtime. IT companies in Germany do NOT pay US IT salary jobs. Me and my wife also decided for the sake of our daughters future to leave Germany for Poland in the next years. Poland has a bright future ahead and has become a central IT hub for US and Europe. Germany has nothing left to offer but high taxes, high cost of living, a bad and outdated retirement system, analog burocracy, no digital progress. I could go on and on. If you think to come to Germany as a skilled worked, DON'T, there are better alternative countries to choose from!

This is why landlords are lot renting anymore. Government thinks this is the way to help housing crisis by letting scums live free. Well they are teaching landlords not to rent. We have houses we don’t rent anymore because we ourself experienced a tenant who lived and abused the property free for a year easy. LTB was all tenants pro. Tenants were driving new cars every six months while we were going bankrupt.

Yes there are a lot of issues that needs to be addressed. However, its immature to blame every problem onto immigration. Most of us dont know enough about how things really works. Its not like if we stop immigration then all these problems would be fixed, in fact i think we need this population growth due to low birth rates and lack of labor etc. In my personal experience i see in real life where immigrants are working and contributing in all kinds of fields, such as construction, health care and elderly care … instead of pointing fingers, first educated ourselves on this topic, and then think about how we can make this work, i think that would be more beneficial for everyone.

I think that the 2 leaders of opposing countries, religions, “teams” whatever, they should meet, promising everyone is safe, promising to each other n keeping their promise, and they should have dinner or lunch, maybe breakfast. I knew that we were in trouble back in 2009 when Ruby Dhalla wanted immigrant seniors to be able to collect from the canada pension plan after three years, instead of the ten years.

I think all we need to do is pay more attention to what’s happening throughout Europe!
