I honestly thought alot of those black Canadians were ignorant of the racism or complicit because they act like it dont exist

As a Jamaican Canadian I experience some anti-black racism all my life. The worst was at a few workplaces and a couple of visits to Montreal. I live in Toronto and it's here to, but not that bad. the western provinces besides BC are the worst. Quebec and the Atlantic provinces are also bad. My advice to all my brothas and sistahs that want to live in Canada is that you live in the GTA in Ontario. One other thing Do not live in Brampton, or you will be discriminated by another immigrant group which I won't say but some know.

You guys are just coming here to Canada to see what you can use to advance your life so you're full of complaints. You have no care, loyalty or roots here. You're not entitled to be accommodated spoiled bratty people. \n\nImmigrants come here use up the resources and at the same time don't care about the community and bettering it which creates worsening conditions. None of you will fight for better public transportation... because you're not really going to live here, its not really your country.\n\nAs far as Quebec is concerned the Federal government stays silent out of fear of Quebec separating not silent racism. How arrogant that you think you know what's really going on girl.

As long as most of us have jobs, we would not think racism exists? I have spent significant time in Calgary, Vancouver, and Victoria and was stunned by how much less white racism I encountered than anyplace in the US. \nWe had car trouble out in the country, and white guys stopped to help us out. If it had been in the US I would have been prepared to fight, judging by the way they looked. This woman's story is very subjective and personal. Well before I adapt that belief about that part of Canada, I will have to hear that from more black folks and their experiences because she didn’t give any real specific examples. Now we already know palm folks practice racism in the workplace systematically, but sometimes when one Family is dealing with like hers you’d have to look at them as well for how they carry themselves at work. The mom may have set a bad example and this girl may not recognize it yet.

OMG! What does it take to wake Black folks up to the fact that not all White folks like you. Knowing this fact, why are Black folks wanting to be dependent upon by White folks. Joe Biden himself told Black folks their not gonna be able to depend on White folks anymore. If Black folks were more dependent upon themselves, they wouldn't be encountering this kind of racism.

Alberta is a right wing conservative majority province. My grandmother was a black Jamaican. I have lived in Ontario, Canada for 36 years. And I haven't seen or experienced biting racism. Not all of Canada is f*cked up, just the political right!?

I don't respect racism, bigotry, ignorance, victimhood, laziness and entitlement. Skin colour, race, culture and ethnicity don't matter to me at all.

There are 196 countries on earth and as someone who has studied Art History and Anthropology I plan on visiting all of them. Why? Because there are too many videos of black people all over the world who have been either born in those countries or are expats and moved there and they show how happy they are and how life abroad is better than America. Also, I have noticed that both SYSBM/Passport Bros and Black Women Divestors have been getting alot of pushback discouragement from traveling or moving overseas. I think I know why. See, if the majority of black people (men and women) were to leave the U.S. in more than 50% that means that they would be taking their $1.24 Trillion dollar buying spending power with them along with their tax dollars and despite the racism here in America the elites want to keep us here for monetary reasons. I truly believe that their is a hidden agenda to keep blacks stuck here in America by any means necessary and I don't buy it.

As a black person who grew up in Canada yes you experienced racism but I also have rules hang out with my own kind and I don't befriend white people whoever gives respect gets my respect and when I experienced racism I give them the same energy right back sometimes you got to be aggressive and demand your respect sucks but it's a reality keep your foot on their necks

This is why we need a massive push for reparations nationwide in the U.S.A, and Blacks of Canada who descended from Black Loyalist should be seeking reparation from British- Canada and then we need to start a mass exodus to a safe haven on the continent of Africa such Sierra Leone or Liberia where we can purchase land and collectively build our city and surrounding towns. We aren't making any progress by constantly telling each other of our experience of abuse dueto White racism. The only way we're ever going to solve this is to start planning our exodus and building our own away from them, And once we are away from them and have our act together we can then began discussing other matters in regards to maintaining our safety and security, even if that means dealings with others who have the ability to train us in how best protect ourselves from those who like creating problems all over the globe

Work together to build POWER within the community. Asians, East Indians and others work as a collective to build businesses to overcome and reduce the impact of racism but, they emphasize FAMILY/Community cohesion.
