The best part of Canada is that you could go just about anywhere in any province and not have to see anyone

I came to Canada in 1984 as a refugee from former Czechoslovakia. What a fabulous place Canada was then! \nNow, if things don't change (!), it looks like I will be soon living in 1984 again. Canadian government brought millions of Visitor visa holder, who applied for asylum. They approved just anyone in 2023-2024. But, they made it difficult to get PR for the skilled people, they made Express Entry so difficult these days. Looks like, they want criminals from around the world, but hate honest and educated people. It's now backfiring Canada.

Going Expat makes a lot of sense #DigitalNomadWorld I did it for decades saved major money. I became elderly came back for Excellent Covered Medical Care and cheap low cost living in the US. Like Canada there are still places that are nice and affordable.

Gosh I've been in Canada for 14 years. Trying to do everything by the book when it comes to immigration. Came here as a student, graduated from engineering 8 years ago and now working in the aerospace sector. I can't even become a Canadian citizen until Quebec lets me to do so, and I got big dreams such as flying for the military here. I was in Canada in 2022 for some while because of the country's positive reputation but left again quickly because I didn't want to be part of that housing crisis and infrastructure problems.

An average Canadian make $2200 to $2500 per month if they work @minimum wage, which is below the poverty line in canada again you can research about it if don't believe me. Teenagers ko paise ni count karna ata agar kisi ko paise dene b pad jaye... 15 16 year old kids ask their parents how to pay and how much cash they need to pay, Canada is Not at all good education wise. I dont even want to talk about the health care system of Canada it literally sucks. I got my family doctor after 6 years. India me raho Canada ghumne aoo vapis chle jao.. I moved from Canada to the US 24 years ago. When I left I was worried about how expensive the US was, the crime rate, etc. It’s ironic that since then homes are more expensive, job opportunities have not kept pace with the US and the population has exploded. I am unabashedly pro immigration but the issue in Canada is a government that dramatically expanded immigration with no plan to address the housing stock until it was too late. That is ripping through the economy and tearing apart the country. I hope Canadians can find a good way out. ?

I am also leaving Canada this year. I was born here and have spent almost 4 decades living in Canada, but for now, I cannot stay. Will be moving to South East Asia in a few months. No immediate intention on returning any time soon. The spell that has taken over the country's politicians, elites and even many regular citizens has destroyed my home and I don't see it changing.

Good luck with finding a new place to live, at least for a while. I don't recommend coming to the US, because we're just as much in the dumps as what I've seen on Canada (better in some and worse in others), and until we get our act together, and that's totally on us, then you should try a different place.

If good people leave, just because you don’t like the view, then Canada is truly lost.

I've lived in Canada for 33 years and Canada is not the country it was 3 decades ago. Can't wait to retire and move to some country with good medicare and Government using common sense.

I left Canada in the late 1990s. I moved back in 2018 (more than 20 years abroad)... and I've regretted it every day since. I do NOT hate Canada at all. Like you said, it is a great place to live, but... once you see how other people live in other parts of the world you see what's missing in Canada. It's the basics.. access to medical care... education... and so on. It used to be amazing in Canada, now it's broken ? My wife and I talk about relocating back overseas all the time. Moving abroad with kids is hard, but we will eventually do it once all the bits line up :-)

I worked with a Pharmacist who Escaped Canada almost 20 years ago, now he wanted out for Tax Purposes , he definitely was not a Typical Canadian and he probably didn't see this Coming, he just wanted to keep a Much higher Percentage of his Check and knew from his Parents that would never happen in Canada

Hi! I'm an American with the 'dream' of immigrating to Canada for many years. Got permanent residency and am working in Montreal for the summer to try it out and.... really shocked about the high taxes vs. the quality of the roads for example :/ What social benefits are Canadians really getting? Although the pace of life and culture is nice, it is hard to make less money here as a teacher than I could be in the US, and with some bullsh*t to put up with (pardon my language). And although I feel safe here, I can't believe how car thefts are so brazen and common. I might just become a seasonal visitor after all.
