Canada has never had a open immigration policy; i tried twice to emigrate to Canada post University (BA, BSc and PhD) and my application rejected twice ; not enough points. Have youguys ever asked why they here in the first place. These folks are paying for you and your childs education. They were invited to study in your debt ridden educational system, paying 5x then what you and your kids pay. They were also promised jobs after they graduated. As a Canadian born here, I think the foreign students are the tip of the iceberg. We also have to consider people that came in, and still do illegally including a criminal element. We also have a weak government that brings in folks from war torn countries, and they are not always that countries best people. Look at the Palestinian situation right now, where Most other Arab countries do not want these people entering their countries. We have to ask ourselves why that is, and is it good for Canada to bring in people where the entire Arab world says Nope! I think the entire situation in Israel and Gaza is terrible, and at the same time with some groups even the Children are raised to Hate and or be Violent. So if we are bringing in people who Hate and Support a terrorist organization, we can pretty much guess what’s going to happen inside Canada. In fact we are already seeing the hate and division. They can’t figure out this is NOT Israel, and there are no wars in Canada currently. However if they continue down this path of Hate and violence, Canada could become another battle ground. Including some of these groups who have beef’s back in their own countries! If your hell bent on war, go back and defend your own country, and don’t try that crap in Canada.

i am a citizen, an IT professional. it has been 4 months and i have not been able to find a job. i have 12 years experience with multiple certs. IT field has been flooded by indians. they get into HR then only hire there own. they have whatsapp groups, where they share jobs, with each other and ask to apply, then refer each other within the company. 1 indian is hired and then whole company becomes indian. Canadian jobs should be for Canadian Citizens first. Stop immigration, stop renewing temp work permits, stop allowing students to work. we Canadians cannot find a job.

You have no idea how silly everything is in the job market. I am a computing / finance professional who is looking to switch to a new job. The first question they ask is whether I speak Punjabi? Of course, I don't! Then they tell me to find a new job. My friend who applied to Walmart got rejected because he doesn't speak Punjabi. My friend's son is trying to get a summer job at KFC but the Indian manager wont hire him because he is not Indian!!! We Canadians want to work but can't find work because they wont hire us. There is no skill shortage in Canada, just selective employers who only hire people on student permits and work visas.

They have opened up the immigration flood gates wide by creating federal Atlantic Canada Immigration program where pretty\nmuch anyone without skills will qualify.
