No offense but to the Canadian people who are struggling and are homeless or drug addicts they need to fix whatever the underlying cause is. If anything it shows that if you make the right choices in Canada and even in Brampton you'll be successful and able to survive. If you don't see any newcomers struggling then it shows that opportunity is there and even those struggling can fix their problems. I'm not Indian but there're a lot of other ethnicities of people grouping up like Chinese people in Mississauga or Markham also or a lot of Persians in Richmond Hill,etc. there's still multiculturalism just not at a smaller level.

PLEASE DON'T push Pierre on immigration! I don't have proof but I'm sure it's just his strategy. I can't believe that a smart conservative like him isn't in favor of cutting back on immigration. Bernier is too honest to be a politician and unwittingly ends up giving Trudy exactly what he wants by splitting the actual party with the realistic chance to end his tyranny, the Conservative Party.\n\nDon't do the Liberal Media's job for them. Pierre can dodge their immigration questions because they're Liberal. But if we conservatives push too hard, too early on this, we'll shoot ourselves in the foot as Pierre may be tempted to be honest with conservative leaning media like Rebel News. I know and work with a lot of people that have moved here over the past 10 years. All of them want to leave.

Canada is a country that has brain drain being so close to the US. Since Trudeau Gotti lactaid we have lost so many great people. A lot of people leave because of the weather and all of those people immediately leave when they can. After that it's people who have a talent in a specialized field but a lot of them are going too. Canada has a brain drain problem and our government is bringing in massive numbers of low educated people to make up for the brain drain.

My brother professor in BC was intimidated & harassed by these Indian students when he called them out for cheating and plagiarizing in his class ... All they do is cheat, steal and rob. He was provided by protection at the University... it's not funny !!! They mean it !!\nAnd the others are trying to grab land in Alberta and Saskatchewan for their beloved Khalistan. Not Kidding. Our feds are actively promoting with advertising to come to Canada in India. I don't know this for sure but a few Indians have posted comments to this effect to me...So, I don't so much as blame the Indians for wanting to come when our government is actively promoting such things. 4:54 That's just it. Canada allows a lot of immigration, because there are a lot of entry-level and service jobs that Canadians don't want, or are in a position that they don't have to take them. As I understand it, it all goes back to the province of Quebec. to get Quebec to join Canada, education was made a provincial thing, not a national thing. This means that there is no national education policy in Canada, unlike a lot of comparable nations. This means it is very difficult to plan, and educate the work force to fulfill anticipated needs. The solution? Put it on the list! Immigration Canada has a list of jobs that Canada needs to fill. If you would like to immigrate to Canada, and you have work history or education for something on the list, you're in! This is much easier that investing in Canadians and planning 5-10 years ahead. If we need more nurses...put it on the list! If we need more engineers...put it on the list! If we have too many already...take it off the list. A lot of immigrants are disappointed when they get here, because from the outside, Canada seems great. Yes, it is a very safe country, and has a lot going for it. But people may be surprised to find that they have been allowed into the country, to fill jobs no one else wants. And it's a lot of work to move here from another country, so immigrants tend to get stuck in a bad situation.

Sad that we’re going through, but there’s a lot of people suffering because of this losing a lot of stuff like families jobs a lot of stuff every person can help education and as Canadians will be suffering without education without nothing without jobs

International students and other immigrants contribute greatly to Canada’s economy. The government knows that that's why they were asking for so many immigrants to come here. How come one minute they had a goal 1.5 million immigrants then the next minute immigrants are the problem? Theyre just using immigrants as a scape goat instead of fixing the housing problem. Immigrants work very hard and pay a lot of taxes and the international students pay 4 times the tuition as Canadians so they are boosting the economy. Maybe the Canadians living on welfare are the ones who should leave because they are not contributing to the country.

I’m a Canadian nurse and I lived in the US for 10 years during my career. I did it when I was young to gain work experience and travel with friends. It gave me a lot of insight in how it feels to live in both countries. I’ve been a nurse and patient in both counties so I also know how it feels to work, live and be a resident in both. \n\nI cannot articulate enough how it has confirmed to me how fortunate I am to be Canadian. The perks to living in the US were very superficial and frivolous things that matter very little in the broad scheme of things,….which I see as more restaurant chains, cheaper restaurant food, more shopping options, etc. As a young person when I lived there,…those things seemed amazing but matter far less as I get older. \n\nWhen I lived there, I paid a fraction of the income taxes that I paid in Canada but it’s only short term gain for long term pain. The cost of health care, the amounts of gov funded benefits (disability, EI, pension, etc) in the US makes it well worth paying taxes to offset these things as in Canada. I have had cancer 3 times in 5 years and I’ve not paid a cent for treatment, scans, surgery, etc in Canada. My employer held my job for 2 years and I received long term disability of 70% of my yearly wages and my employer paid my full pension and benefits as I was off of work. After 2 years, my cancer returned and was deemed incurable so I will continue to receive this pay and benefits until I’m 65 and can retire as I can no longer work. I have no financial worries as I battle cancer. \n\nTo contrast,…my US employer was a world reknowned hospital that had excellent pay and benefits. Had I been working there when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would only have gotten full pay for 6 weeks until my sick time and vacation time was used up. Then I was eligible for a fraction of my income for 3 months, which would not be enough to live on. I would not have had my pension paid. After that, I’d receive no more pay and my employer would hold my job without pay for 6 months and then I’d be let go. My cancer required nearly 2 years off of work so after 5 months of this minimal pay, I’d have no income, no job and no benefits with a new pre existing condition to ensure that I’d have a snowballs chance in hell of getting future coverage. Meanwhile during that 5 months of some pay, I’d still need to pay huge costs of treatment despite having insurance but that would disappear after I was let go from my job. I’d have to return to work during my treatment just to afford to continue it. I have many US friends that had a similar cancer that worked throughout to cover basic cancer care while I was able to recuperate without working or fearing being unable to pay. There is nothing comparable to this when you are sick. It is everything!\n\nSadly, many of my American friends are very ill informed on how health care works in other countries and don’t see the shortcomings in their own. Ironically though, they are willing to argue it without proper information so I often find that bizarre. While lived there I felt as though I was in a bubble where the only news that I saw was US news. I saw no info or minimal about Canada in my whole time there,…aside from falsehoods about health care to scare people away from seeking change. “Canadians are all dying while waiting”, “they are all coming to the US for care”, “they pay 80% income tax” etc. All propaganda,…some from politicians or those that should know better. It was truthfully mind boggling to me how educated people could know so little about the world. It almost felt as though they heard so much propaganda about how terrible other places were while only having knowledge of the US, that it ensured that things would stay the same without anyone wanting beneficial changes to dysfunctional policies (like health care, cost of meds, lack of gun regulations, etc). It’s very bizarre.

All voices, language and accents have emtirly changed. Our civil laws. How they ate applied and respected. Business conduct changed. Communal quality completely diminished. Local government bias. Civil enforcement open corruption. Common exchanges, xut in half. Social behaviors completely transformed. A spiritual, physical and financial war and gutting out is what j can expect when this lot turn up. Public and private hygiene standards, I mesn eberythimg goes. Here in the uk, being swallowed alive by this mass drowning of the natives is a frightening thing to have happen to u. The machine decided we would all be replaced by the chosen ones. It feels surreal. Im black and am seeing a complete white washing and replacement model is brutally underway. I used to respect their culture amd people. That is not the case now, having this downpour drown out everythimg else. Tough fact: poor white folks are drunk, drug addicted and do not offer the economy enough stimulus. Its these areas where The new ones move in, re establish, modify and then own as a neighborhood. This social engineering exercise is a reason why Ive lost my respect for the group. Its a simple thing. Folks are trying to leave for a better life, they then got to know about Canada giving 3years postgraduate work permit to international students who studied for two years and, there are permanent residence programs you qualify and can apply for after getting one year Canadian work experience. This is what encouraged many international students to head in this direction. Unfortunately, half of about 800,000 international students admitted to Canada came from India (if i'm not mistaken), many of them had to borrow the money to pay fees or their family sold their ancestral land or used it borrow money with the hope that when their child who they sponsored with the money is done, he/she will be the family's hope to not only pay back, but help them relocate too. However, the picture is not looking like it anymore as the demand for jobs surged and many are not able to get jobs or can't find the kind of jobs that can make them get PR and, their current work permit is about to expire, which means they may be faced with going back home with nothing so, they are pulling every string they can to stay back because, returning will mean they are a failure and can even cause their family a lot of emotional damage. Infact, i have heard of some of them who committed suicide as they are not meeting up and are not ready to go and face the shame back home. So, what you are seeing is the definition of desperation!

Why are they still here? Pack them home immediately. Canada has a lot of other issues to take care of. These guys come into the country under false pretext. The quality of Canada is absolutely going down the drain. Crime is going up, too. Is this what Canada wants? Is this what Canada will look like in the future? The real Canadians don''t feel like staying in Canada anymore with such poor quality of immigrants brought into the country by the Liberal-NDP knot.

Govt allowed them to come study and at the same time giving them some hr to work so a lot of people grab this opportunity which to most of them the main purpose is not to study but to have a job and after that get into pr status. If I’m in this situation of this student I cant demand anything in the first place just follow the rules, find a way to get your status legally if you can’t then start packing up and I will go home.

Did anyone think why is it so. If there are too many students, that is because the local colleges are greedy and want a lot international students to come in and pay higher fees. If there are too many indians, again, it is because CIC which does the screening for immigration application approves a lot of indian immigrant applications. Is it because they cannot find applicants from other countries or even if they do, may be indian applicants are more capable than other immigrant applicants? Something to think about. And what is the role of Mr Trudeau. He seems to be wanting more immigrants.

I lived in vegas for a very short time, it was planned to be living there but we went back to Canada. I am dual citizen either way. I will say that i like what that robert bigalow was doing with the budget suites. I stayed there temporarily. It would be so awesome for canada to do this for the housing crisis. It was back in 2005 but it was $500 rent each month and there wasnt huge barriers to be able to rent. \n\nHealth care was scary yes, im not used to that kind of way being indigenous and having my status card. I lived in Brampton until middle of 2009. There seemed to be a good mix of cultures and lots of diversity then. I'm surprised to see that it changed so much. I'm okay with people from wherever and why not India, but it's disturbing that there are so many drug addicts and homeless people. Is it the immigration or is it because of the kind of people who stayed in Brampton? Did they stay because they had no choice? It makes no sense though that so many people left this city. Well, I left it too. Edmonton is a much nicer place than anywhere in the GTA.

Not everything is cheaper and better in America. Medical care, drugs, tuition, childcare all more expensive. Also public schools system is terrible unless you have a lot of money.

I would do a lot of research if you have to pay for your own medical insurance in the states it can be prohibitive
