The Conservative Government lured educated foreigners to Canada with the promise of great, high paying jobs, and once they got here, once they left EVERYTHING, including their families behind, were told they would have to go back to school in order to be certified. It's a con, the government is a con. The Conservatives, the Liberals, the NDP, the system currently in place...is nothing more than a con.\nAll politicians are liars, all governmental systems are corrupt and nothing will ever change until We The People, take their power away, destroy the current system and rebuild. It is the people who put these politicians in power, yet they do nothing for the people. \nDestroy the system...it does not nor ever has worked. Take the power back.

I go to a big college here in Toronto not naming names but almost all the students are international students and when we have special events at school no food is left for others due to the number of students that their is. I think schools make a big profit of international students along with the government so they live 10 in a house.

I moved here to in Toronto 2021 I went to Toronto Island first time you will see There are still a lot of whites, and other nationalities. Fast forward to 2024 I went back to Toronto Island guess what On the ferry left and right you will see indians no white people

I got laid off 5 weeks ago ( no renewal of contract).. after 7 years working for that NFP.. I applied for snap and unemployment… while applying for jobs( social worker field)… first, they ask for so many documents… including my bank account….( again I was laid off .. not fired nor left my job, nor finding reasons not to work all those years ), department of labor had a mandated zoom meeting to discuss what I needed to do 4 weeks after I was laid off( like i don’t know)… I ve been working for years and paying taxes… a lot of them in NYC, I was also told that I have to show what I am doing to search for work and eventually should take a job( even if the salary is low..ridiculous)… I was also informed that I may get a call from investigator from DOL..they may call individuals receiving unemployment benefits($441 a week after taxes?)… to verified that I was searching and applying for jobs( even though I enter my activities related to work weekly on their website…..)….. meanwhile… people with 0 legal documentation are entering the US and living here, free snap, free housing, free health insurance!!!! Lala land!!!! Can’t wait for this non sense to stop!!! Every corner of NY , you see families begging for money. Food…I feel bad as a human being, but refuse to help or I ll be joining them too… welfare system needs to change too! The politics NEED to change!!!All the best !

From then on Juan repeat the same over and over and John kept giving Juan the 3 pieces. \nSo I said; ok enough!! is not that John should give one to everyone that has none! John shouldn’t got taken 25 pieces in the first place but it was so long ago that everyone thought I was crazy! Including Rosa….

I’m so glad I left Canada what an absolute mess the country has become under Trudeau, i consider myself one of the lucky ones having the opportunity to leave hope one day Canada can find its feet again.

The rise of of these problems across western nations and the anger and frustration is because of failed economic policies that has left a vast majority of the population struggling to cope with high costs of living and lack of stability in their ability to provide for their families!! Immigration unfortunately is the catalyst that lights the inferno and is also the most visible scapegoat to some very deep underlying issues in society and the economy! Do you think these events will still occur if people not struggling economically/financially???

It's a false statement saying there's not enough housing, considering the fact that there is more unoccupied housing in Toronto then unhoused people living in the street. Why? Title is not very accurate. It's not anti immigration. But, it's against corruption in the system such that allows for extreme high percentage from a single country: India by gaming the system and in the process Canadians are left out with worse standard of living.

I am centre-left and I am up to here with immigrants. But the government is just NOT hearing what the country is screaming. Immigrants only ‘have a lot to contribute’ if we stop accepting unskilled workers. I am so tired of having service workers who don’t understand English, and immigrants buying up every fast-food franchise and small business. It is profoundly de-stabilizing for our culture. We had an Indian family with 2 smalll kids freeze to death a few winters back trying to cross the border on the Canadian Prairies. It was almost 100 degrees when they left home from India and 24 hours later they were exposed to -35 and didn't have proper clothing. It was only a 2 mile walk but they barely made it half way before they were overtaken by the cold.

Lived in Toronto most of my life. The problem has been the Ontario Municipal Board which is the slowest to act legislators in the province. We left the private sector to do its thing not realizing that the OMB took years to approve residential units. Thankfully the red tape has been cut down and housing is being built like crazy. This problem will take at least a decade to be solved. Its not the immigrants fault. I can remember reading about a Nigerian refugee freezing to death in the cold because we couldn't get him housed. That isn't just cruel to him but shines a light on our own ignorance.
