Good to see that the Canadians can spell properly.

There’s a common saying which states that the difference between Canadians and Americans is that “while Americans side with their fellow citizens against the government, Canadians side with their government against their fellow citizens.” This is stereotype is the best explanation as to why Canada can’t see to develop a viable market economy or compete with other nations on innovations in STEM or the arts. The problem with Canada is that it never developed a culture outside of “not being American” and the result is that their government has been allowed to grow to an enormous size and basically strangle all of the talent out of the country. Canada, despite the fact that it’s an English speaking country on the North American continent, is virtually nothing like America is any sense of the term, and actually has more in common with Scandinavia than it does with the country that borders it’s south.

I agree with the video.\n\nBut there’s a lot of Canadians who would go nuts after seeing this video. In their view, the less Canada looks like the USA, the better it is.

I have 5 canadian friends 3friends 2bestfriends welp they’re online and yeah they’re online because I don’t live in Canada tho I do see Canada as a wonderful place and if I were to go anywhere/travel I would only go to Asian places but Canada’s one of the places I’d visit or live in thats not Asian <3 (I’m Chinese)

You’re our neighbors (the state of Tennessee USA here) and we see you’re having to put up with everything the Democrats want to do to us if they come into power this November. I’m white (European French), ow Canadian but grew up in Oakland, Calif, had a black boyfriend in High School and now have a black daughter in law so I’m comfortable and familiar with many racial issues. When Kathleen mentioned she felt uncomfortable with a white man touching her hair and saying it was beautiful, I thought that was taking her perceived racism over the top. If she had been white with the same hair only blonde it would have been equally uncomfortable. I completely agree that racism is rampant and terrible, I see it frequently but it’s important to not make Everything about racism.... that can become a problem in itself

I am Living in Ottawa I am white, I lived here my whole life and now I am a minority I deal with different races all the time and I do feel that I am being pushed out of my country different ethnicities treat me with disrespect I was growing up with Canadian culture of respecting everyone around you but I fine with all these different cultures coming in I’m losing my Canadian identity and it is a lot for me to hold strong onto the values as of what the Canadian is and I’m a fourth generation Canadian I see what’s happening to our veterans I visit my grandfather every other week and I see all the different nationalities that are PSW‘s and nurses And I really mean no offence but we have a different level of respect we have a different way of talking and these different nationalities coming in they all click together and some of them they treat the men who built this country with such disrespect please listen to meand I’m really not Trying racially profile this is been happening for the last 15 years and I’m not being silent about it Canada is freedom of speech Canada is being strong enough to speak up I mean this from the bottom of my heart if you’re coming into my country that my grand parents built for me and my children can you please give my children the opportunity that you were now taking from them and I see how they treat our veterans I see how difficult it is for seniors that didn’t have a placement in our homeless I see that all of our government funding is now going to people that are now immigrating into Canada and they’re being able to start up small businesses have four bedroom townhomes in their children to schools and drive them and fancy SUVs can you look around us and see somebody sold Canada

White Canadians have mastered the art of racial discrimination while appearing very inclusive and accepting. .....sorry the apartment is already rented is a normal response for the non white prospective renter. The position is already filled ....to the person with the different accent or non European name. Being followed around the store is standard practice..... Shoppers drug mart , Jean Coutou , Best Buy, Bulk Barn , I mean Bulk Barn , with tons of bulk in bins. At the Royal Vic ....a public hospital in Montreal , the non white patient is made to wait for hours as his file for some reason is placed at the bottom of the pile . At a Club in Montreal the non white guy is told that he cannot enter because of his running shoes. His white friends reports later that running shoes were on display at this watering hole. And then there is the not so subtle case of Ketchup squirted on the head of this visible minority kid who was having a beer and minding his own business. I am the person in question . I am non white and I hold a PhD from Mc Gill . I encountered these experiences as a foreign student in 1982. I visited Ottawa last month 2019 .....you guessed it , Bulk barn at Billings bridge profiled me as a danger to the corn flakes bin. It pains me to see so many people--not just in Chinese Canadian community, but throughout all ethnicities and demographics--take Canadian citizenship for granted. Being a Canadian citizen, having the right to exercise responsibilities that come with this citizenship, are a privilege. there are dozens of flaws in Canada's immigration system. I am surprised to see that a person who has not spent a single minute in Canada enters the country as a permanent resident . has not paid a single dollar in taxes enters as a permanent resident. has not played his part in Canada's society and doesn't know fuck about Canada enters as a permanent resident of Canada. it does not surprise me to see people commenting about residents living in Canada do not speak English. \n \nI will give an example of the UK here which is far more developed than Canada and have very high standards. first of all, no one can enter the UK as a permanent resident of the UK. even if their partner is British, they will still come to the UK on a visa. depending on how much their British partner earns, it will take 5 to 10 years for them to settle in the UK, provided they pass the residency test in the UK(which Canada does not ask for whether you are in Canada applying for a PNP or PR or you come directly from another part of the world). a person who gets in the UK as a student spends minimum 7 years, if he is not married to a British /EU national to get a PR, most spend 10 for a UK PR(known as ILR in the UK) provided they pass the test for English and life in the UK (citizenship test). in return, the UK offers to its residents what no other nation offers. canada is giving away residencies as if its a leaflet. it's easier to get a Canadian residency than it is to extend a skilled visa in the UK. I have lived in Canada and felt that standard of living in canada is not very high as compared to the UK. so if Canada offers easy residency to people, it is only because they also know they are not giving away something precious :)

Yea, but the immigrant ( all races) kids get far better grades in school, and that generation pays 30% tax every year of their 100k salary... They're the ones that gonna take this country into next century of technologically advanced world. Issue with economy starts with the family. That second generation built what we have now. Immigration is a god damn economical strategy man... Issue with homelessness, has nothing to do with immigration. Homelessness is related to addiction and mental health. Most immigrants don't suffer from homelessness because they have relatives that look after each other. 3rd generation+ Canadians (all races) lack that.. if you're 18 you are own your own, thats where that issue is with homelessness.

What I would like to know is why in the case of roxum road crossing we never saw any US officials there stopping people from illegally leaving the US hmmm! We had the RCMP there all be it as bellboys but they were a least present. I remember when my family immigrated here over 15+ years ago and my brother was only 1 years old. 2 weeks after coming here he slipped on the floor and cut open his forehead on the hinges of our door and he was bleeding everywhere (he later had to get 6 stitches to fix it), my father was out working and we didn't know how to contact the police or hospital because we didn't have a home phone yet. We used our neighbors and the ambulance came and I strictly remember that because we didn't have our health cards yet they wouldn't start work even though my father said he will pay when he gets there. I remember my mother and I feeling helpless while my 1 year old brother was bleeding out (the hospital staff tried to stop the bleeding with cotton ball and bandage) and I distinctly remember that they did not start helping my brother even WHILE my father was paying but only started work after the bill was completed. Even though my family felt helpless at that time and we felt it was unfair, we never blamed Canada because it was their policy and they have every right to follow protocols. So it makes me angry to see people who walked into our country illegally getting far better treatment than my family ever got even though it might not be anything as life threatening as ours was. It makes me angry that our hard earned tax dollars are used to help people who have no motivation to help the country that gave them asylum during war.. It's actually the opposite as a lot of these families call their free housing "disgusting" and compare it to "living like a slave". I'm angry because little girls at my brothers own school are getting shoved and assaulted by refugee boys as young as 6-7 and are let off with a simple "don't do that again" and a meeting with the parents. This is not the Canada my family came to love and call home so I can't imagine the hardships of Canadians who are living here for 3, 4, 5+ generations 😔😔

I watch the border crossing show sometimes and when they come back from “vacationing “ in China and pretend that they haven’t brought anything with them and when their bags are inspected they have tons of stuff and have way exceeded the limits and they barely get a verbal reprimand. I believe that in the 1990's, there was a small movement of Canadian women that wanted to go topless. This is a pretty misleading video.\nYes, our minimum wage went up to $14/h compared to the rest of Canada, however keep in mind it had to accommodate to the cost of living. You're lucky if you can even find a LEGAL small 1 bedroom basement for $800/month. Its not common. \nA car? Brampton has the highest insurance premium in all of Canada. \n\nDon't get me wrong. I LOVE Canada, I couldn't see myself living anywhere else because it is my home. \nHowever, when you compare it to india, in India you're only paying for electricity, gas, and food that you need to buy at the grocery store. \nBut if you really needed to budget and save money, food is LITERALLY growing in your backyard! All the veggies, fruits, etc. You just need to buy the grains and proteins! \n1.5 lakhs sounds great per month. But 1.5 lakhs is realistically not enough to live in Canada. \n\nDon't believe me? Google cost of living in Canada. Google how much a family of 4 would need to make to survive per month in Canada. Also, make sure to check out CANADIAN WEBSITES for this data. (.ca sites or try Global News or CTV news since they have this data)\n\nThe problem is everyone that comes to Canada always comes only to one area which is usually Toronto! However this makes the cost of living go up to accommodate this many people. Compared to Regina, or St. John's not many people immigrate there! It is a smaller city compared to Toronto but at least it's more affordable.\nDo you're research before coming here. Find out whats the best situation for YOUR FAMILY and what YOU can afford. \nCanada is a beautiful place, and yes, Brampton does have a lot of the Punjab culture, but don't be fooled. I did not see “anti-Islamic sentiment” in this reportage. I saw a definitive insularity among Muslims against their host country Canada, a growing sense of anxiety among Canadians at the artificially created growth of Islam in the country and a lot of inertia on the part of Canada’s official response to Islam which has been inspired by the naive, school kid Trudeau. What surprises me most is why there is not a massive revanchist movement against Islamists - why everyday we don’t hear about mosques being burned to ashes and Muslims being beaten, killed or mutiliated. That should be the proper response to the growth of Islam - in any country.
