I have been in this country all my life and have 2 children who was born here and have college degree. Now they can't even find a job for over 4 months. I moved to the States when I was 10. I came back to Canada freakin obese. I was 450lbs overweight because of all the jumbo sized fast food that I ate in the States. Canada forced me to lose all that weight because the 3XL clothing is crazy expensive and their fast food is too small for a large meal. So I had to lose the weight and I lost 200lbs. in 10 years. You really don't see obese people in Canada. Canadians are very active and it's encouraging in my opinion.

Other major differences I see between Canada and the USA is education and media. Home schooling exists in Canada but it's very hard to get your kid started while in the States there's more of an infrastructure for all the different types of homeschooling that is harder to partake in in Canada. There's more trust of teachers on the part of parents than there is in the States, and groups like Moms for Liberty would not get off the ground here since the parents who would join said organization would be ostracized from all social events held by the school and the PTA because they would be viewed (rightly) as extremists that should not be satiated. Media over here is more reasonable compared to the polarization rife within American media with channels like MSNBC, CNN and FOX News. We have a right wing media sphere, but besides outlets like the Toronto Sun and Le Journal de Montreal, they are pretty unknown to the average Canadian.

I think Mr.Trudeau see the writing on the wall and is taking revenge on Canada and Canadians. He want to deliver the most deadly blow, that it will take long time for Canada to recover.

i was born here in 87... my rent when i was 16y.o was 400$/month for a 5bedroom house. The same today would be over 3500/month.. Immigration created this but its also what's gonna blow the bubble... finally!!... and if mass immigration stop overnight then they wont be no one to buy all those brand new houses. I bealive new immigrants needs to adopt Canadian Values and way of living. They see Canadá as we are so nice and stupid, taking advantage of public services. When you immigrate to a country you are curios and open to learn a new culture you are leaving your country because there is things that you don’t like and you see your self with the same values of other culture. Once you are in Canada you are evolving and adapting to new ideas, and methods of living, most important you are here to contribute to society and the economy by taking care of your self by working hard upgrading your skills, help others follow the rules. Not the opposite you don’t move to be taken care off by taking advantage of government programs, if you honestly and truly need the government help the program is there for you if not you have a moral responsibility to contribute to this country/ planet.

it must be global warming , it fills so exotic here like never before I see people wearing this exotic dresses and turbans everywhere , they have nice suntan ,basically we don't need to go for vacation to this places the vacations and the places came to us , east Indian markets ,restaurants , daycares run by east Indians every Home depot and Tim Hortons , liquor stores , and now slowly radio and TV , construction, and almost everything else. Why are people leaving? BEcause in the last 7 years we made a huge mistake of letting in too many people and spent less time developing ourselves and infrastructure. Way too many came and got seated in the usual big cities where things are getting worse. Right now there is a gradually increasing anti-immigrant sentiment, especially towards East Indians, Bangladeshiis and Pakistanis, and there is a worry about having existing culture turning too Islamic and Hindu. So you can often hear some pretty racist things or read some pretty racist stuff online.\n\nThe problem isn't immigration. Immigrants are amazing and we need them, but our country didn't play the long game and let in too many too fast. Right now esp[ecially for Bangladeshiis and Indians, is that ,many are coming illegally and getting a REFUGEE status, paying their own to do this who work in lawyerships [and you shoudl see the scamming being done by Indian and Bangladeshi Canadians who are just taking their former countrymen for everything they are worth!]: Canada is like a person taking on too much all at once and then resenting its choices once it becomes responsible for them. Between bad decisions and some very seedy practices by immigrants coupled with the general greed to own land....and you have a modern crisis.

But those moving to these aforementioned countries shouldn't be castigated and termed desperados. \n\nPeople migrate for different reasons, many in these countries especially in the gulf are there to build capacity so as to make moving to America, UK and Australia and other better European countries more affordable and assured and do so with a softer landing and so far it has worked and working out well for so many... As you know moving to America and Canada has not always been easy and affordable as it is with some of these countries and in reality the quality and cost of life and healthcare in many of these countries are not as bad as those in the west assumes. \n\n\nSo if you're in America, Canada or the better others, you shouldn't see others moving here as short sighted or desperate.,.
