As a Canadian born here, I think the foreign students are the tip of the iceberg. We also have to consider people that came in, and still do illegally including a criminal element. We also have a weak government that brings in folks from war torn countries, and they are not always that countries best people. Look at the Palestinian situation right now, where Most other Arab countries do not want these people entering their countries. We have to ask ourselves why that is, and is it good for Canada to bring in people where the entire Arab world says Nope! I think the entire situation in Israel and Gaza is terrible, and at the same time with some groups even the Children are raised to Hate and or be Violent. So if we are bringing in people who Hate and Support a terrorist organization, we can pretty much guess what’s going to happen inside Canada. In fact we are already seeing the hate and division. They can’t figure out this is NOT Israel, and there are no wars in Canada currently. However if they continue down this path of Hate and violence, Canada could become another battle ground. Including some of these groups who have beef’s back in their own countries! If your hell bent on war, go back and defend your own country, and don’t try that crap in Canada.

I think there is not much to do in Canada apart from snow and forests. The globalists want 15 minutes cities. The federal government is assuming massive immigration will solve Canada's aging population. It won't. Health care is actually better in 2nd and 3rd countries if you have the money. Even if your home country is at war, it's still better than the drug crisis in the major cities of Canada. No joke. International students and other immigrants contribute greatly to Canada’s economy. The government knows that that's why they were asking for so many immigrants to come here. How come one minute they had a goal 1.5 million immigrants then the next minute immigrants are the problem? Theyre just using immigrants as a scape goat instead of fixing the housing problem. Immigrants work very hard and pay a lot of taxes and the international students pay 4 times the tuition as Canadians so they are boosting the economy. It wasn't like this 8 years ago and there's so many people of a certain demographic that outnumbers the others. Now, it's really hard to find a part-time job as student and our healthcare system is plummeting as well. Why we keep accepting them when we can't even afford to help our own citizens? This current government needs to step-down now; we don't speak for them. The fact that these people are able to rally in our country is absurd and they don't even have the rights in our country. This shows how weak the Canadian law is. They don't respect us and they mock our system.

Canada is one of the least densely populated major countries and the problem for your housing prices is less than 1M immigrants over the past 2years? And you're going to lead your causes of this problem with that? Give me a break.\nSpend more time on WHY building new houses is not profitable enough and is disincentivized. Talk about how incentivizing home ownership as a wealth building vehicle turned into a bubble and a ponzi scheme as those housing investments outpaced other investments. You know who can still afford to buy up houses, hold them, and prevent the market from deflating? Corporations. Shifting taxes that hurt poor people (like income and sales taxes) onto land value taxes would stop most of this. It would become expensive to sit on vacant investment houses and corporations and landlords would be forced to sell them.

People mistakenly believe that Canada is a country. Canada is not and has never been a country. Canada is and has always been a business venture. A business venture that originated in Europe several hundred years ago. A business venture that required employees to develop. Incentives were given to Europeans to come to Canada for this purpose. Those incentives included things like; a higher standard of living, gainful employment, the opportunity to own real estate, freedoms that didn't exist in Europe. Europeans accepted that offer. Came to Canada and built the infrastructure that currently exists in Canada. This development project is now complete. I don't know who made this decision, but it appears to have been decided that the maintenance of this project will fall to Asia going forward. We are seeing this transition unfolding. This was probably decided since those of European descent would never tolerate the authoritarian neo-feudalist dystopia that they have in mind for this country. It is now time for Europeans to return home to Europe. The job is done. I no longer recognize nor relate to this country. I feel like I am in a foreign country. There is no longer a place for me here. I plan to flee back to Europe as soon as it is financially viable to do so.

It's about time we stood up for our country

Instead of blaming these people, one must question their own government authorities who make the rules and legislation to facilitate this. Maybe it's just the truth of a desperate Canadian economy that needs immigrants to keep fueling the 'aging' Canadian economic engine. These people come in and work hard, odd jobs (not to mention the exceptional skilled ones as well like Doctors, health care workers etc.) which the regular Canadian wouldn't do. I've been in Canada for 2 years without a Family doctor. Thank God, the last 10 different Doctors I met were all fresh immigrants and came to my rescue. Ask your conscience, without these immigrants, you wouldn't be getting your late night coffee at the time Hortons drive thru, no one to take your blood works without you waiting several months in waiting, no ways for universities to subsidize tuition fees for the poorer Canadian students. If immigrants stop coming in, the nice detached home you live in will go down in value, the nice truck you drive will become more expensive, your kids University tuition fees will sky rocket, Canadian companies selling groceries, furniture, etc. Will have lesser revenue and eventually get eaten up be American giants, Canadian companies won't have cheap labour to build those much needed housing. \nNot only question your government, but also question your 'own' people.. Where are they to serve you? Where are the so called patriotic 'original' Canadian Doctors'? They are off to US to earn more money. U think they care enough for their home country?\n If Canada won't, somebody Else will accept these people. I’m a Canadian nurse and I lived in the US for 10 years during my career. I did it when I was young to gain work experience and travel with friends. It gave me a lot of insight in how it feels to live in both countries. I’ve been a nurse and patient in both counties so I also know how it feels to work, live and be a resident in both. \n\nI cannot articulate enough how it has confirmed to me how fortunate I am to be Canadian. The perks to living in the US were very superficial and frivolous things that matter very little in the broad scheme of things,….which I see as more restaurant chains, cheaper restaurant food, more shopping options, etc. As a young person when I lived there,…those things seemed amazing but matter far less as I get older. \n\nWhen I lived there, I paid a fraction of the income taxes that I paid in Canada but it’s only short term gain for long term pain. The cost of health care, the amounts of gov funded benefits (disability, EI, pension, etc) in the US makes it well worth paying taxes to offset these things as in Canada. I have had cancer 3 times in 5 years and I’ve not paid a cent for treatment, scans, surgery, etc in Canada. My employer held my job for 2 years and I received long term disability of 70% of my yearly wages and my employer paid my full pension and benefits as I was off of work. After 2 years, my cancer returned and was deemed incurable so I will continue to receive this pay and benefits until I’m 65 and can retire as I can no longer work. I have no financial worries as I battle cancer. \n\nTo contrast,…my US employer was a world reknowned hospital that had excellent pay and benefits. Had I been working there when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would only have gotten full pay for 6 weeks until my sick time and vacation time was used up. Then I was eligible for a fraction of my income for 3 months, which would not be enough to live on. I would not have had my pension paid. After that, I’d receive no more pay and my employer would hold my job without pay for 6 months and then I’d be let go. My cancer required nearly 2 years off of work so after 5 months of this minimal pay, I’d have no income, no job and no benefits with a new pre existing condition to ensure that I’d have a snowballs chance in hell of getting future coverage. Meanwhile during that 5 months of some pay, I’d still need to pay huge costs of treatment despite having insurance but that would disappear after I was let go from my job. I’d have to return to work during my treatment just to afford to continue it. I have many US friends that had a similar cancer that worked throughout to cover basic cancer care while I was able to recuperate without working or fearing being unable to pay. There is nothing comparable to this when you are sick. It is everything!\n\nSadly, many of my American friends are very ill informed on how health care works in other countries and don’t see the shortcomings in their own. Ironically though, they are willing to argue it without proper information so I often find that bizarre. While lived there I felt as though I was in a bubble where the only news that I saw was US news. I saw no info or minimal about Canada in my whole time there,…aside from falsehoods about health care to scare people away from seeking change. “Canadians are all dying while waiting”, “they are all coming to the US for care”, “they pay 80% income tax” etc. All propaganda,…some from politicians or those that should know better. It was truthfully mind boggling to me how educated people could know so little about the world. It almost felt as though they heard so much propaganda about how terrible other places were while only having knowledge of the US, that it ensured that things would stay the same without anyone wanting beneficial changes to dysfunctional policies (like health care, cost of meds, lack of gun regulations, etc). It’s very bizarre.

For me it was not the cost of living, because I could easily afford it. The city has changed too much, there are too many immigrants now, there is too much crime, too much homelessness. When you start to feel like a foreigner in your own country and the place becomes unrecognizable, then perhaps it's time to consider other options. So like you I looked at my foreign options and it was the best move I'd ever made. For talented, well educated people, who have the courage to move to another country, this could be the best move you ever make, with all kinds of unexpected benefits which await you.

I'm South Asian. My sister used to live in Brampton actually before the whole invasion began. Good thing she saw the writing on the wall and left. Sad thing is, many can not differentiate the browns who have immigrated pre 1990 and the ones who have come in post-pandemic. The ones coming in post-pandemic are the village trash, entitled, and snobby. Those people are the very same reasons we left our countries to begin with. It's wild that when we migrated to Canada we see the very same filth and trashy people we experienced decades ago before immigrating here. The worst mistake I have done in my time in Canada was to vote Liberal (for the first time ever) back in 2015 and many of us regret this choice.

These non citizens seem to think the government should bow down to those people who contractually were not entitled to stay beyond their pre determined exit time. There are legitimate reasons that the citizens of Canada have to dismiss these non citizens, in the pursuit of keeping Canada intact and to ensure the citizens first, have harmony, jobs, housing and affordability. Everybody knows it, but everyone either lies about it or pretends it's otherwise. The primary motive of international students from low and lower income countries coming to Canada is for permanent residency, registering into a post-secondary course is just the price to pay for PR as far as they are concerned. International students know it, the government knows it, and post-secondary institutions know it. Let's all drop the education charade and have a clear cut policy about immigration through education. One easy way is by strictly requiring that all foreign graduates can ONLY apply for immigration from their home country after graduating from Canada. This is the only way Canada can control the timing, the process and the quality of people.

Twice in my life I got hired to do a job and was not paid for my work. Both times it was Indians who hired me. This was in Calgary. One of the jobs was for an Indian-run startup. New immigrants dont integrate in Canada or Canadian life. The priviledge of going to school is for study not PR. Its not a back door immigration program. You dont go to any other country and make demands or protest. Few if any go in the needed trades so time to go home. The numbers are unsustainable and its killing communities with housing and jobs as well as limited resources like healthcare and education. Governments and post secondary have failed Canadians who have had enough of paying the price and need borders closed. Clearly somewhere along the line these students are coming with false promises and expectations. With housing crisis if Colleges and Universities cant house all those they bring over on campus and provide the housing then higher caps to meet who they can house. Failure to do so close them down. Most communities are in emergency state for homelessness so of course no sympathy or tolerance for protests. Schools are for study only not a back door.

There IS NOT a lack of housing in canada , there IS ONLY an affordability problem along with far too much immigration by volume and time frame . Our services and infrastructure (ie; transit services , health care , employment , realisticly affordable housing , finances , etc .) are no where near adequate to accomodate canadians even before the over populating of foreigners . They have been coming here and buying up all the affordable housing during , and post pandemic , with offers far above listed or fair market values , to push owners to sell without question or thought . Following this they stack multiples into these homes illegally and against code , to be able to take up all employment at wages that canadians can't survive on ,forcing them out of employment , homes or both . Once stable and trained to know that business operation , one of their people buy the business and no longer hire any canadians . YES ! TRUE FACT!! How is this accepted ? This is something we could never get away with anywhere .... Selling your country , one property at a time , is only absolute lunacy . They pay top dollar and care nothing about the money , because being that they own most of the businesses , they will get it all back from you within about a years time by raising prices ultimately to do so . I am not even Canadian, although I have visited many times and enjoyed their hospitality. Nothing pisses me off more than the entitled, disgruntled immigrant. Everybody is complaining. Unfortunately Canada is going down. Government fucked everything. They keep bringing immigrants at the same time they can’t afford to take care of them. No money, house or medical services. Of course the country will get fucked. I’m sure most of the refugees if they don’t have wars in their countries they won’t stay in Canada. Canadian government have to find solutions soon or later otherwise it can’t go like this.

These probably happened but your vid is creating fear and not informative. Canada is a welcoming country, and visa officers are trained to be friendly and not aggressive. As soon as you land in Canada, get your information straight. Know why you are here, where you will be staying and for how long. Do not approach the border officers with fear or panic as this video is trying to make you feel.Canada doesn’t just set people aside for deportation at the airport. Once you land in Canada you are protected by Canadian law and international law on immigrants . A visa officer will not warn you of overstaying your visa (if you overstay you won’t be granted visa next time) no officer will tell you that. That’s not their job. People can be set aside for proper screening or scrutiny but that doesn’t mean they are being set aside for deportation. Deportation has a procedure and it’s a costly process even for the Canadian government.These are assumptions. You are exaggerating! Don’t be afraid people, Canada is a beautiful and welcoming country. Information on your application has to match information you give in your questioning. If they don’t match then suspicion is aroused.Even if it doesn’t , they are so many explanations you can give as to why ( stress, airsick,tired, confused ,hungry cus of the long flight) officers will give you time to cool off and come to you later. If it gets to the worst, invoke your rights as an international immigrant and ask for entry to Canada being a safe country as a refugee claimant . Officers can’t deport you if you claim asylum at the border, they have to follow due process and your case must be heard by a judge. Create information, not fear!
