Cost of housing has doubled since trudeau took office.
|
| 2024-07-04 | 0 |
Its not just immigrants , everyone pays the same cost?\n2400$ a month for a 1 bedroom average or 1.4M per average hom cost is insane!\nI want to move but even the suburbs have gone up so maybe time to leave Canada all together after 50 years here!

They’re the reason it costs so much. We didn’t have this problem before someone let in millions in a few years. Supply and demand.

High housing cost is due to over immigration ?

Nearly 40% of new immigrants thinking of moving due to Canada's high housing costs: poll\n\nGood and hope you enjoy your new home...
|
| 2024-07-04 | 0 |
Its high BECAUSE we are letting too many new people IN without enough housing to go around. Lets tale care of who is already here...citizens FIRST...and atop playung like we have no idea why its a problem. Kay? Do some actual journalism and investigate wand educate why the cost is high EVERYONE who comws hwre is strong in their CULTURE FAITH IDENTITY and demand a space for theirs. We are not strong in ours and its disappearing rather than people having to assimilate. When i travel to other countries, like Islamic law cpu triew for example, i assume thr cultural norms.. i dont demand i am accomodated and they wouldn't do it!!!

The high cost of housing initially surged due to an influx of immigrants, which also contributed to keeping wages low. This situation has resulted in a lasting disadvantage for many

Harper broke the housing market when he adjusted the immigration rules in 2012.\nFrom 2012 onward the 50/50 split of economic/non economic migrants was over. From then onward, it would be 70% economic migrants. So already a direct contravention of equality unless disadvantaged(section 15 of the Charter).\n40% are thinking about moving due to high housing cost, well, when 20% more of them are now in the top 10% of monetary society... It follows that 40% would get priced out.\nI do not excuse the Liberals, they knew Harper said that those new 20% also had to have a 15-17 year old kid from 2012 to 2017, and they did nothing about the missing homes they'd continue needing.\nNo, Harper also did nothing about the new homes they'd need, he instead offered tax rebates for green energy retrofits, even further proving that Conservatives care only about those who already have money.

The people who cause the high housing cost saying high housing cost so they decide to leave the places that are high housing cost and move to the next area and make it the next place of high housing cost.

I lowered my yearly cost of living to $3500 including everything. So I don't work, I do my hobbies, sailing, fishing, riding my CT 125 and seeing the world. All you have to do is to give up women to be able to.

The same high housing costs that the immi- grants are mostly responsible for. A kind of poetic justice.

I do live in the U.S. for six months a year. I would move there full time if the exit taxes from Canada weren’t cost prohibitive. Canada has become a joke on the national and international stage. Talk about batshit crazy, just take a look at Canada’s loony left socialists.

Rent cost + inflation and no raise is doing me in. I have to work extra, and I still can't make ends meet. It feels a bit hopeless at the moment...
|

The reality is the cost of living in Canada is high and owning a home is a pipe dream. Be prepared to rent for your lifetime.

I'm extremely glad you made this video. As someone living on the east coast, you'll get immediately branded as racist for speaking your mind on this topic. I live in a community out in the country, and our housing even out here is a huge issue, the cities aren't the only ones affected. We have the biggest difference in average wage to average cost of living out here and something big needs to change

Send all the illegal immigrants back where they came from. Those that want to stay need to apply for legal immigration, must be properly vetted, pledge allegiance to Canada, become Canadian, leaving hatred from their previous country behind, and cannot stay here while they wait. A moratorium on all new applications for at least 10 years. This way the back log of legal immigrants can be dealt with. Stop all new international students, put a moratorium on it for at least 10 years, stop all temporary and permanent workers. All loopholes used to illegally get into the county must be stopped. This will reduce the cost of illegal immigration and solve a large portion of the lack of housing. No more government subsidies to pay for foreign workers. This will open up entry level jobs for young Canadians. No more government subsidies for anything for immigrants. If they need government support then no, you are then disqualified from coming. No more abuse of our Canadian social programs.

The cost of living is 100% related to the overflow of immigrants. Thanks to Trudeau who is now hiding like a lil spoiled kid.

In the course I take at college it cost me about $3500 for a year, an immigrant students pays about $15,000 for the same course (electrical engineer). Also, they get their pays taxes even more then residents.

whoever made this video scripts it as if affordability is a crisis in Canada alone. Just look at Europe, the USA, Australia, Japan. The immigrants are leaving, where will they go to escape inflation and a high cost of living?
|

It's not immigration it's called invasion..we need to stand up now.this has to stop.. anyone the Liberals let in since they came into power should have they're citizen ships revoked and sent home.. when the students are done they're studies they go home.end of story..now I know how the natives of Canada must have felt..this must stop at all costs ?

Liberals destroyed Canada and over flooded the system. The system is a scam and you will be in debt for a very long time and high cost and rent is out of control.

Are Canada is giving free of cost apartment?
|
| 2024-06-29 | 0 |
To support these immigrants, the government will be increasing taxes. They have already piled on huge debt causing the inflation to skyrocket. Healthcare has declined because the government has no money. The cost of bring in these people is causing Canadians already here to struggle in their lives. Why are they bringing in these immigrants?

I live in Montreal and came from Mexico in 2012... I understand that a lot of people like myself want to come to Canada looking for a better life... But the government only wants increasing numbers of immigrants each year to keep the real estate bubble no matter the cost.\nI think inevitably migration will be reduced to a fraction because is not sustainable and eventually AI will start to replace withe collar workers that have to pay rent or a mortgage at that point the real estate bubble would collapse

At some point, a migrant cost ??? Over 100 000$ per year for 3 years, ( this is a minimum considering the salary of the socials workers on charge for them).\nJust asking, How much is a bounty hunter ?

These students think they bought citizenship when they were invited here to study. Yes it's predatory, but you can easily google Canada and find out that we have some of the highest cost of living in the world. What they fail to say here is that Canadians are struggling really hard right now and the students are taking up housing and food from charities further exacerbating this crisis. They are also rude and have no interest in speaking to anyone outside of their own culture. On top of that the men need to realize sexual harassment isn't normalized here like in India (i travelled therefor four months and was relentlessly sexual harassed and assaulted) stop being creepy to western women. It's gross and it will get you nowhere.

Schools accepting more than a certain amount of international students a year should be required to provide campus housing as part of the tuition cost for international students. This insures the student can afford both schooling and room and board and they won't put excessive pressure on the local housing market.

All Canadians please come to our great Country India - we will embrace you and give you jobs. Do yoga and enjoy spicy food. Ohh I forgot … you are poor cousins of US and don’t have enough money too to travel in the world. Flight to India is very expensive and might cost you up to 3 months of your 18CAD per hour salary ??????

According to the news we broke 40 Million residents in Canada in the new year. They just announced that the Canadian population is already at 41 million as of last week. How can we absorb this many people. I would say the majority are from India. A lot of these new residents are amazing. But hear me out......For more than 70 years Canada has accepted diverse immigrants from around the world. These immigrants have always had challenges with acceptance and integration as they bought homes and had families and raised children to be Canadians. But these immigrants are economic migrants. They don't want to be Canadians like they used to. They want the PR, and the citizenship. But they want to work and move all that money out of Canada back to India. Then when they retire, they themselves will dump all their Canadian assets and move to India where cost of living and home ownership is exceedingly less expensive. Even their federal government pension plan money will move out of the country. I'll be totally truthful...MY perception of these economic migrants is that THEY HATE US. In India they are educated, come from Middle class and upper middleclass families. They want the PR and Citizenship so they can eventually pull their entire family from India over to Canada. But they have to Work at Burger king or Tim Hortons when they arrive. And the HATE and resent Canadians for it. \n Canada allows people to keep their foreign passports and citizenship. There are 300,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Hong Kong, There are 450,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Lebanon with a War about to expand across the border. We cannot continue with this.....every time one of these places destabilizes they end up on the CBC waiving their Canadian passports demanding the Canadian government do something to get them out. \n The Author of the video is correct. IT isn't about hate or xenophobia...Its about making sure that people who come here want to be here, Are taken care of properly, contribute to Canada and its development, integrate into out society and culture, and do not make life harder for the people - ALL OF THEM - already here.

I'm an immigrant myself but I don't have pleasant experience with people from India all my 10 years living in Canada. I rent a place where the house next door is owned by a middle-aged Indian woman. She rejected to split the cost when my landlord suggested building a fence between our place and hers, because one time her one tenant almost run over my landlord when backing up her car. Recently the Indian lady rent her house to 15 plus other Indian people who litter their garbage all around her house and honk their cars at night, literally making the atmosphere much alike those slum videos of India I've seen in the past on YouTube. \nI've talked to a few of them about the noise, they promised me it wouldn't happen again but they never kept their promises. I have no clue how to communicate with these people anymore, I might as well look for a new place to live.

Starmer is right though, until they're processed, they're not going anywhere. \n\nMeanwhile we pay for their accomodation, costing us billions, and they arent allowed to work, so they generate no tax revenue.\n\nIf you look at this as an economic problem, the only answer is to process claims.

Wacko opened the gates but it’s not his problem. He continues his privileged selfish life while everyone suffers the exploding costs and lack of services, jobs, and low wages, and loss of traditional values and traditions. Wacko’s desire to be a friend to the world means he cares not for canadians. Kick him out!!

Just wait until more millennials get locked out of the housing/home market. With rents in the GTA, Vancouver and other major metros skyrocketing. If these Liberal government shenanigans aren’t ended by the next election it’ll be hell.\n\nHeck, RCMP already is already preparing for outright riots and revolt (check the national post article) in the near future. \n\nThe economic damage Covid and this governments mismanagement of it caused is the problem. Sweeping rules put many small business owners and other job creators out, large oligarchy’s got to sweep in and buy at cost or damn near. There is no easy fix, there’ll be years of this to endure and most rational people will leave the moment an opportunity presents itself.

Canada has become an absolute dump. Everyone is struggling, even the people making good wages. The taxes and the cost of everything is insane.

It's time for Canada to deport these people they are the reason that the country is in a housing crisis, a major strain on our already strained health care, the reason Canadian students struggle to find employment, not to mention how difficult it has made it for some canadian university students to have access to the relevant classes because they fill up with foreign students. This ends up cost the Canadian students more money and time to complete their degree, it's not fair and as a parent of a Canadian university student I am beyond frustrated with the state ofbthis country because of the overwhelming amount of immigrants here, and to say that they are adding value to this country by filling jobs and growing the economy by putting the money they earn back into our economy is naive and false because the jobs they fill now require 8 employees to the same job 4 employees were able to handle before these immigrants came along and as for the money they earn, while that gets sent directly back to the country they originated from. Also not to mention the crime rate increase as well as the increase of scams. They are offended by the truth but to bad, the truth hurts and life long ( not 5 or 6 months) tax paying Canadian's are the ones hurting the most. The majority of these people are not escaping from war torn countries. Get out Go home because canadian's want theirs back!!

Why don't we build f'''ing houses and apartments faster than we haul in new heads. It's criminal, and it's NOT AN\nACCIDENTAL OVERSIGHT !!! It's not an accident ! It's designed with malice of foresight. A one bedroom apartment in my building now costs over $2,000/mo.\nI'm locked in at $1,500/mo for a 3 bedroom since April 2016. How can people afford to live anymore. I don't dare move to another apartment, or my rent would instantly go up over $500 a month.\nAarre Peltomaa of Mississauga, Ontario

it;s such a shame, i was in vancouver, bc for 1 month from sydney, australia and honestly the country and city is really so nice, i would love to move there but i really learnt quick that vancouver and my home city of sydney are twins with the economic downfall and cost of living crisis, also heavily taxed, and proof is on the pudding now with sydney and vancouver being direct 2nd and 3rd most unaffordable and expensive cities on the planet right now as we speak in 2024, such a shame

Not everyone—only some people. These individuals are leaving Canada because it's expensive and moving to cheaper countries, ironically driving up costs for locals, which is hypocritical.

Canada is the No. 2 best country in the world.\n\nThe country has a GDP of $2.14 trillion and is the second-largest country by total area after Russia.\n\nIn terms of cost of living, Canada is, on average, 11.2% lower than the United States, and renting in the country is 30.4% lower than in the U.S., according to Numbeo.\n\nCanada also ranked as the third best country for quality of life, according to U.S. News and World Report. foreign workers are cheapers and mostly dont plan to stay after they retire. There is a small chance the government will encourage them to stay, but as all socioeconomic predictions call for, more workforce mean more money made. Profitable and less likely to yse their citizens. The cost of living is relatively low. This is like a globalization but in a smaller scale.
