Canada doesn't seem to want immigration from the West, it is really hard to get a work visa if yor from UK for example

I worked for a Canadian company for 25 years living in the USA, California / Silicon Valley specifically and spent days in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver - great place but probably has been run-down by wrong Government policies just like the USA - first blame is always on immigrants even though majority of them (especially in the USA) do jobs that Americans or Canadians do not want to do - farm work, construction work and services while 50% do get proper education and find good jobs and build up the community\nPolitics in the USA and Canada has gone so bad in recent years almost everyone is thinking of moving back to native country or find other affordable places - easier decision at the age of 33 but not 66\nWherever you go, I am guessing it will be around Bali, good luck and may you have all the success you strive for and deserve!

Immigrants want to move here because it is very easy to get PR and then passport otherwise Immigrants would move to Australia or US. Most of the Immigrants who come here are for East Asia and Africa and they can't stand cold but they don't have options to go and settle in US and Australia. So Canada is banana Republic under liberal and they come and get the citizenship and then go and work in US and the ones who are villagers and not professional stay here because they can't move. Canada passport is not third world passport and eventhough I moved from third world country don't like to stay here and looking my options.

It's actually mind boggling. I'm Canadian. I have friends and family in the U.S. I would get questioned a lot when coming to visit New York, NJ, etc. I have seen people denied access to boarding buses. What has happened in the past 2 years? The U.S. and Canadian government must absolutely work together and come up with active solutions to solve this problem. If people want to immigrate. Its best that it's done through the proper legal channels.

Canada's not the same as current PM has ruined it. Chaos will get worse before it gets better with a new leader to fix it. Immigrant's always entered through Sask because it was the easiest to get citizenship. When term was over they went West or East. There are 2 types of immigrant's today, those who want a chance for better life and adapt and those who want to destroys our values (which's' what what we're seeing today). Being born and raised in Sask doesn't feel like home anymore into today's world. East and West looks worse. I'd be happier living abroad!! It is interesting your point of view. I do not get it, because I see a beautiful woman with all the skills, soft and intelligence to do great things. As an immigrant, I clearly have enough experience to say this: With all your privileges in Language, race, beauty, and gender, it is difficult to understand why you leave Canada. Hi Alina, well done on your decision. This is not an easy thing to do. As well as Canada, i have lived in the uk and Greece. I don't want to make things harder for you but i want to warn you that the grass is never greener on the other side. I am very disappointed with Canada to be honest. My wife and i are moving from Alberta to New Brunswick next week in search of a quieter, calmer, cheaper life. Let's see what happens. I completely agree with all of your points. You Will Not find Germany as Home Ever . I am Living since 18 Years here & i never felt Home ! Also I am a so-called Skilled Worker. I finished my studies in Germany and speak above B2 German but most of my life i am Struggling for a Job , Why ? You should try it your self then you know Why ;), Speaking B2 German is not enough for native Germans. When you come into contact with them, they always want someone to speak at their level. Actually, I find myself in a TOXIC Society everyday where everyone wants you to leave. If you are a foreigner and come to Germany for work, you will get a job along with a 42% Tax and higher rent for accommodation. Racism and discrimination are prevalent in everyday life, such as being followed with eye contact by angry, uneducated Germans! \nIf You don't Believe Try it Your Self ;)

Many of my friends who studied Masters here in Germany are struggling to find a job and yet they say we need skilled workers. Where are the jobs.\nFor language issue why can't you work with companies and give conditional offer to employees that in 2-3 years you have to be fluent in German and give them an opportunity to learn the language and integrate.\nBut did we see this no and yet they say we want workers..Yes you will get people obviously the world is big but not the quality one and in some time your situation will become like of France and UK.\n\nAnd though I have finished my Master and working in a company for very less salary still i regret my decision to come here leaving my well paid job in my home country was the worst mistake. \nBut now i have to find a way out from here

they need some humans to pay taxes that's it. In reality, there are no jobs in Germany. The companies give false information to local municipality job centres so that they can get a subsidy of taxes and always on their company websites they put some jobs but in reality, they just interview and don't recruit and report to the government they are facing severe skill shortages and this companies are millions in Germany and they get tax waivers, economic support from government and to make the economy run government welcomes foreigners and innocent foreigners fell into prey in this cycle and got wanted there time.\nthey just pay like in India nothing difference, to and fro flight charges makes savings zero, can't enjoy social life, no good desi food, too much cold, costly transportation, very waste health system it will take months to get an appointment, heavy 42% taxes after all nothing is left for us...

European countries must decide if they want immigrants or not, it is getting ridiculous ?

1. German companies expect people to speak C1 Deutsch out of college. Which is not only unreasonable but also impossible unless a student only studied German and not their subject matter.\n2. The companies are still milking COVID and the war in Ukraine as excuses to not hire enough people while the pool of recent graduates is increasing. \n3. People with specialised degrees are unemployed. \n\nGermany doesn't need immigration for skilled labour. It needs to change it's corporate mindset and be more welcoming and understanding of the non-Germans. Sure people need to learn your language but that doesn't mean that they'll land here, eat currywurst and immidiately start speaking the local dialect. You've to be patient and give them time, which they simply don't want to give. \n\nAnd don't get me started on the meagre salary. It's insulting.

Racisms is a big issue, apart from wages , language, & loss of direction; companies need workers, politicians say otherwise, immigrant wait till government takes a stand, but any way I am skilled worker, I don't want to get abused by right wings and racists. So good luck.

I can't believe all the nonsense that was said on this video! Of course you have to learn the language, if you want to work in Germany!!! Has any of you tried to immigrate to Canada or the US? Nobody is going to give you a job, unless you can communicate in the local language! That is the same all over the world! European union countries have all got good social services and health systems. You want to benefit from the system? Then you of course have to be able to communicate! \nThe process is the same everywhere you go. The first generation of immigrants fight to learn the language and integrate, BUT their kids will get that for free and be integrated through the school system.

The main issue is and will be the German language. They are quite picky about it all the time. If skilled workers are getting a job which has a higher pay (higher working hours, uncertain market) in the USA, people don't mind taking it, learning a new language, high tax, kind of average salary is not going to appeal to a lot of people. Nowadays they want German language requirements for a software engineering job! People aren't open, really old and slow daily life, too much paper work, the list goes on....

Hahaha this is the Guardian left leaning newspaper doing documentary on immigration, guess what the conclusion would be - more third world immigration?!? Most of the people I found that promote immigration are not the ones that really do anything to provide more infrastructure, they are the one that you can really do with out, some academics in the social sciences, career politicians, mostly pen-pushers. Have a look in UK who works in building sites and then look at people who are getting free housing, you need not look further to understand the unfairness and why people feel bitter. Importing people who produce many children is not the answer, unless you want future voting base.

Isn't it already super restrictive and not easy to get into the country for the immigrants? Only highly educated, young people with rich parents are welcomed lol. They bring people from other countries, because there's not enough people to pay the taxes. The more taxes people pay the better educational and health system become, and overall societal infrastructure. Homeless people here most likely local drug addicts from poor areas of the city, immigrants are usually hard working and dedicated people. I find it hard to believe that these migrants are having an easier time getting into Canada than the US. I've been to Canada 6 times as an American tourist and except for my recent trip up there to see the eclipse, the officers always asked at least 4 questions about my trip and plans like where I'm staying and one time how much money I had. One time when I went they did that 'secondary inspection' where they look through my luggage and enquire about items (in my case several electronics which most people travel with). These people who are going to Canada probably have enough money for a typical weeklong trip and probably have hotel reservations, etc. Other things immigration officers ask often is what kind of work you do and when you are due to report back to work, as well as who you live with. They want to be sure you have ties back home.

The extremely funny thing about this is: NY democratic voters are so attracted to this chaos that they will outvote any good citizens in NY who want this nonsense to stop.\n\n?they get what they deserve and to the point that they will change their minds, not now and not during this election period. They will change once the illegals start to make their fancy neighborhoods trash.

I guess I’ll be having to move to the US if I want any chance of getting housing or work. People who haven’t physically seen the stuff that’s happening here only know the bare minimum. Everything is too expensive, there’s no “Canadian culture” anymore, you can’t get a job, you can’t find a decently priced apartment, rooms for rent (private) are going for 1200$ a month in Toronto (and I’ve seen more expensive). I’m not excited to grow old in the country where I was born as it’s being run straight to the ground. It’s very sad.

Canada has to start recognising degrees from other countries. Here in B.C. we have emergency rooms closing overnight due to lack of staffing. We need doctors and nurses yet the barriers for those immigrating to get their degrees recognised mean many never qualify.\n\nCanada also needs to look at who we are admitting in and to terminate the family unification policy. When immigration was helping the country grow there was a different demographic coming in. Often it was single men or young married couples. As they came by themselves they assimilated into the mosiac of the country. When you concentrate on immigrants from one country instead of assimilating they setup ethnic communities. \n\nLook into what study groups have said that is contributing to gang violence. It's ethnic groups that have the grandparents, parents and grand kids all living in one home. The grandparents want the grand kids to adhere to their native culture. Unfortunately by time you get to the grand kids they are Canadian. They speak English/French depending where they live with little interest in speaking their ethnic language. There is cultural conflict within the home hence street life is where they find love and caring.\n\nSome cultures are not as community minded. Part of the high cost of renting/housing is based on greed not need. In my own community I know of apartment units now renting at 2,500 - 4,000/month owned by the same people that even five years back you could have rented for 500 - 800. There is no justification for that percentage of increase other than greed.\n\nJob opportunities. Summer employment for school kids is going down yearly. You see local business that use to hire students over the summer month claiming they can't find any workers. They bring in TFW yet Canadian students can't find work. You can tell the owners nationality of a business by the nationality of the workforce. A local store bought by a east Indian two years ago which at the time had a diverse workforce is now entirely staffed by east Indians. Yet who screams racist? \n\nCanada definitely needs to reconsider its immigration policy and bring in major changes.

I was going to say the immigrant only thing is one thing on TOP of the INSANE pricing... you gotta be a girl working and can't have ANY vice or plan on having ANY kind of life or freedom even though you pay to live there, even working a full time job you will be struggling and majority of these lower rent places were great and usually always been for students no matter what your sex or where you are from to which if you are getting government money to attend school you can only work a certain amount of hours with that funding for school being BARELY enough to get by and forget about it if you have disability you get slightly more but NO landlord wants you if you have disability.... Landlords need to be stopped and controlled.

Although I agree with this, the majority of Canadians want a left wing government , it was elected by the people. As I always say democracy is the best system even though at times you may get leaders you don't agree with.

Immigration is a privilege, not a right. It’s their country, their rules. \n\nI’m an international student too, and I’ve worked in the U.S. for 3 years on post-graduate work VISA on a high-skilled engineering position. But I failed to get my U.S. work visa since it’s a lottery process. Despite wanting to stay, I have no grudges against possibly leaving. It’s their house, it’s their rules.

I’m immigrant from Iraq. Came in 2009 and I can say Canada has immigration problem. There’s no way you are getting these students back to India. When I came to Canada I came because I wanted to make it my second home. A country that I’m willing to actually fight for. These guys are here just to make money and send it back to India. A tenant of mine - a social worker - shifted a homeless man into an empty apartment in my house without asking for a permit. I offered him to shelter the homeless man as a guest within his rented apartment, yet this he did not want. Typical socialist: placing the rotten egg in the nest of others to deal with. I told him, if he does this again, then eviction time comes.\n\nThere is a way to get the above lady out. No, I am not talking about hitmen from the dark web. What I mean is, get the government agencies involved by claiming she endangers hygienic conditions within the building. No one wants their poverty, poverty is not a qualification for anything, except abuse and suffering. I get that there is a huge problem in Canada with immigration but this interviewer asks too many leading yes/no questions. Can't really get a clear sense of what the interviewees actually feel and have experienced as opposed to what the interviewer wants to hear.
