First of all it’s not any specific countries responsibility to take refugees solely on the fact that they share a language. That makes no sense it’s not saudis responsibility any more than it would be like idk Frances for example. You should also say the same to all Syrian and Afghan, Moroccan and Tunisian refugees coming to Europe. They have the right to their land and we don't want them to leave their land.

The problem with immigration is the quality of immigrants, this country still needs quality immigrants to fulfill top level positions, in the recent years Canada got flooded with too many international students for various college degrees, as i’ve heard there are some colleges in Toronto which only has one classroom in a building but they have so many students enrolled ? and bringing in more refugees makes the housing and job situation even worse. On the other hand government had to remove the 20hour work cap of international students to run this economy ?

the problem is NOT immigrant. it is refugees that causes all these problems. east asian, white, south asian EVERYONE is an immigrants. A good amount of Palestinians wish to go outside of Palestine at least just during this war either to stay and keep their family safe or to go to the hospital or to eat and get a complete and proprr shelter. It's a double edged sword. The industry (fast food, food retailing, services) WANT those people, be it international students, refugees or other to work because there is insufficient response from the local population of young people. Even certain restaurants and hotels had to remain CLOSED after the pandemic, because they could not find enough people to work. The government covid money dissuaded the local population from working. It is a huge mistake to admit so many Indian students attending low-credentialed private colleges and then allow them to work 20-30 hours a week. Trudeau and Miller are to blame for this. But at the same time, there was a labour shortage due to the ageging population and the fact that people have fewer kids today. Canada should give greater priority to trained professionals in areas where there is a need, such as construction, education and nursing. People in India, China, eastern Europe and other countries can get very good training in technical colleges, but it is the wealthy families in these countries that don't want their kids working these jobs.

Shame on you , you can at least open the border and help them in NEED now. But you do not let the refugee in and block them from going into your country , you have blood in your hand too.

The middle income high school kids use to enjoy part time jobs saving for school and then sustain themselves part time during their higher education. The Palestinians seem to be the only Arab people who rather stay in a war zone than flee to a safer place, like a neighboring country or even Europe. All the Syrians in Turkey or the EU are obviously just cowards OR he is talking complete BS, and every human being wants to flee a war and bring himself and his loved ones to a safe place.
