Wow never know about this. Absolutely crazy this is allowed to go on. So many of us including me are living on the edge barely scraping by, and now we’re being flooded by new people who will take all the cheaper housing. Not there is any cheap housing. And sleeping in your vehicle is now being banned all over because of all the unhoused, which really puts a damper on traveling in an RV or van. My friends think this was all a grand scheme, and I’m not sure that they are wrong.

Average Canadian doesn't want to work a minimum wage job, especially now working with foreign people.\n\nBlaming one government, country or race wont help. That is just jealousy towards most common looking immigrant, which are South Asians.

I am for immigration as long as it well managed. I am also in favor of math, don't bring in immigrants if we do not have housing for the people already here. Liberal immigration policies and municipalities not allowing higher density housing has created this problem.

Work-life balance - don’t have to work 12 hours for Pennies\n13. Thriving Stable Economy\n14. Long immigration process - doesn’t allow every criminal in\n15.. Variety of foods: thanks to all the multi-cultures in Canada\n\nThese are just a few, sorry your personal experience was bad, very sorry, but that’s your personal experience and Canada isn’t as you make it seem out to be. The infrastructure is starting to buckle because of that. \n\nAt the very least they should consider shutting down immigration in the large cities to provide labor to smaller towns.\n\nAnother problem is letting foreigners buy properties in Canada who from countries that don’t allow Canadians to buy,\nfor example China. The government shouldn’t allow a Chinese who’s non Canadian buy a house here if we ourselves can’t buy property over there.

It’s not racism or anti immigration it’s anti current policy Trudeau is allowing millions from one region and there’s no HOMES. No apts. no rooms for rent enough for Canadians. They all come to the GTA. I worry my kiddo won’t have housing for uni when of age and won’t even experience a summer job or as a teen as all retail and all jobs previously for youth to gain first employment and experience are now taken by newly arrived immigrants and they keep the positions as they don’t actually come for degrees and schooling for needed areas of employment in the country

Title is not very accurate. It's not anti immigration. But, it's against corruption in the system such that allows for extreme high percentage from a single country: India by gaming the system and in the process Canadians are left out with worse standard of living.

I am of immigrant descent (European/asian). My wife is also of immigrant descent. Both of our families had professional degrees in their country of origin and were vetted by immigration Canada before being allowed to immigrate here. Both families also had to demonstrate sufficient funds and sponsorship to create a life here. That level of vetting potential immigrants does seem to apply anymore, and loopholes seem to be used more frequently to bypass the vetting in order to get a footing here (ex. Temporary foreign worker, temporary foreign student programs). \n\nIf Canada had an issue with infrastructure, housing, health care, education prior to 2023, then addition of greater than 1.3 million immigrants within a 1 year period can only exacerbate those issues. Just look how our per capita GDP is now.

Canada used to have a fairly sane immigration policy - immigrants needed to have a level of education and/or skills that would contribute to areas of Canada's economy and growth - skills or education in fields where there was need for people. Part of the problem now is that so many people are allowed in as refugees, with no usable or useful skills. Another part of the problem is that Canada does not have the infrastructure to accommodate so many more people - we should first build the infrastructure, then allow just the number of people we can house and employ. Another policy should be that our local and provincial governments should have decision making authority where immigrants settle. Huge influxes of people into already crowded urban centers makes no sense - immigrants need to be told what areas of Canada they may go to.\n\nNo culture or group can maintain identity and stability if overwhelmed by large numbers of outsiders. We should limit immigration to the number of foreign cultures and languages that can be successfully integrated into our society.

Let’s stop this madness and go back to when I immigrated to Canada!!! Stop issuing international student visa & temporary work visas. Save the seats in Universities and colleges for our domestic students. Put a cap on the number of international students we allow into the country.

Also remember that many illegal immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees simply walked from the northern states of the USA across Canada's border into Canada and Canada got stuck with them too. Having to house them and feed them etc because Canada couldn't sent them back because of some international law. These laws allowing anyone to enter someone else's country without being invited or without asking for and receiving the respective countries permission is not right. We all have borders for a reason. Too keep people and things out that we do not want and to keep things inside that we need and treasure. That's the whole point of a country having borders.
