Canadians complaint about immigration, but they should know the cycle always go back and now they “suffer” as the natives suffered when their families came to “conquer” the new country. Nothing is for free

I am English and when in the sixties I wanted to live in B C Canada I had to go to the Canadian Embassy in London with my husband for an interview….How I loved it, My husband went first and got a job straight away and i went six weeks later …My son and grandchildren are Canadian but sadly none now live in Canada…….Trudeau has ruined your wonderful country and the influx of so called migrants has destroyed it ..We now in England are overflowing with people flooding this country that have no business being here ..Why don’t they stay in their own country and build it up instead of coming to ours and dragging it down to the cutter….

I feel eventually this will even itself out as many new Canadians will go away as they won't be able to afford living here or they will realize their soft skills will not suffice to stay.

Great assessment. My wife left Vancouver 22yrs ago. It was bad then and has only gotten worse. Sadly the residents would rather smoke a joint than vote for a conservative govt and attend a church. Forget about GOD can't be surprised when he forgets about you. That said Australia is not much better and getting worse by the day. The reason govts love immigrants is because they bring money in and are obivious to the local politics so the govts simply continue to introduce more and more corrupt policies every year. Even after they become citizens they remained divided on political thought because they tend to have a duality of mindset which says, if it all goes bad I will go back to where I came from. It's very unlikely that Canadian news/mainstream media is going to report on the issue of people entering the USA from the Canadian side of the fence illegally. Our government also censors the hell out of our social media platforms and news can't be viewed on several of them. They won't want us to know. Take a few minutes to look into the number of censorship bills that got passed in recent years.

This is SUCH a puff piece completely one sided that dismisses legitimate concerns as the only reason being xenophobic......Canada has always welcomed people but it was done at a lot slower pace where people had a chance to assimilate and build a life. You can't add over a million people a year with different cultures and pretend it's going to be ok. Ignoring the massive housing crisis, it's a culture crisis. A lot of the people coming do not share Canadian values, period. Canadians are noticing a massive change in the country they love seemingly overnight. You go out in any city and you barely see white people anymore. It's jarring. It was made into an amazing country by certain people and now it seems new immigrants are treated better than citizens. Everyone is in favor of immigration done the right way, but that isn't what's happening and natural born Canadians have every right to be upset that the country is being ruined in a way they don't want.

As an Indian immigrant myself, I have tremendous sympathy for Canadians. \n\nThe so called diploma mills were always a danger but online classes during covid meant they could quadruple their attendance (and thus, their bottom line). The degrees offered by these colleges are worthless and that's why anyone who's moved to Canada in the last 4-5 years is finding it difficult to get meaningful employment.\n\nOn the other side, the Canadian dream really is sold as a cheaper and safer alternative to the American Dream. This is especially rampant in the state of Punjab where people from villages sell their ancestral property to move to Canada as students only to find the stalemate that is the job sector.\n\nThis in turn puts pressure on the economy, the housing market, and the welfare programmes. I think the immigration needs to halt for a while. A LOT of students are lacking in technical and linguistic skills to propel the Canadian economy and society forward and they'll need to not be given Permanent Residencies. PR should go to highly skilled immigrants who are integrating into the Canadian society instead of turning Brampton into mini India.

I think the real reason are:\n\n1. Refugees from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Syria and Asylum seekers from Africa.\n2. Foreign investment in housing was allowed until 2022 which played a major part in prices going up.\n3. 1+ Million International students allowed in 3 years.\n4. Average Canadian doesn't want to work a minimum wage job, especially now working with foreign people.\n\nBlaming one government, country or race wont help. That is just jealousy towards most common looking immigrant, which are South Asians.

Like others have said here, most Canadians are not anti-immigration. Most Canadians grew up proud that we live in such a cosmopolitan country. What people are against is the immigration policies of the current Trudeau government which has led to a degradation in public services and contributed to massively inflated real estate values due to the simple rule of supply and demand. There has been a noticeable and real decline in the quality of life for the average Canadian over the past decade. It is genuinely confounding how anyone can continue to support this government. We are seeing our country go down the drain before our eyes.

If Canadians think new govt will solve the problem. They are dead wrong. This is the vicious cycle they can not get out. Their own structure can not support pensions and salaries. They need to bring in new immigrants otherwise the system cycle will collapse. As far as housing is concern. Does Canada have shortage of land ? Its due to policies that new housing is not coming up thus driving prices through the roof. No govt will gonna change that because corporate interests are involved and not house owners wanted their prices to go down. Which happened to be biggest voting block. They want to bring in about 550K each year going forward when people are suffering. They don't build nearly enough homes or rental units. We don't have enough doctors and nurses. We get paid West Virginia wages but must pay California level housing costs. Diploma mills have sprung up like crazy charging $40,000 for worthless degrees. There are not enough jobs that pay even minimum wage. As a consequence many who immigrate to Canada leave after a year or two. Those smiling faces you see in this video are of those who are don't yet know the truth!

I’m an immigrant from Europe, who’s been in Toronto for a decade and all I can say is that if this is going to continue to happen, I’ll be the first out of the country in the next couple of years as it’s unsustainable to continue bringing more people from others countries and specially from non western countries as it seems difficult for some to adopt Canadian values. Canada is going down the hill at an unprecedented pace.

Place people in places and jobs where we need the workers and the housing isnt over occupied outside of the overcummbered gta and where labourers are needed. But if you tell people they need to go work a gas line out west or mine up north in the cold instead off over populating the major metropolitan places would they still come? Is there not still lots of affordable rural canadian residences all over the country but you may not have the creature comforts of the biggers metro areas.

I had immigrated to Canada 34 years ago , my Canadian husband had to wait 2 years before immigration granted me visa . Nowadays it is so easy to come to this country as long as you have 20000 dollars and faked student visa , you can work instantly once you arrive. I think Liberal Party is so desperate for vote from new immigrants . I think after they graduated, they have to go back and apply for permanent visa just like the others. This way we will get quality not quantity immigrants.

Dear Americans. We have a political class that will do anything house prices high. Most notably we welcomed 1.3 million immigrants while only building 200k homes and creating 400k jobs. Our immigrants are being cheated and deceived. Our people and our new immigrants deserve better. Even many of our Canadian born citizens are looking to go south. Talk about the 'Elephant in the room.' Canadian government ought to invest in the infrastructures but that is never seen in practice for uncertain reasons. The government is one of the wealthiest in the globe. Proof is the recent military aid money given to the Ukrainian cause which could have been diverted to investing in commodities to afford the influx of immigrants. So, stop the cap and go to the root cause that has brought this imbalance in the system.?

Canadians can't afford to go to school

They came to Canadians on false hope. When they arrived they seen how the liberal government screwed up Canada. No place to live jobs are scarce So they end up heading for the states instead. Economic shopping is what’s going on.

I don’t understand this “reporting”. If I go to Chinatown and become enraged after seeing majority Chinese population I’d say something is wrong with me. Go to a small town in Alberta, Manitoba etc you’ll see majority white people. People in the comments keep saying “Canadian” what is a Canadian. What values do born Canadians (such as myself with Pakistani parents) that other ethnicities don’t have which makes them unCanadian? Are we supposed to dress or behave in a certain way to earn the Canadian label?

Canadian government is not going to listen and control until US start visa in Canadian then they will wake up. If I am there I will definitely start visa for Canadians even for their politicians.
