the west is neglecting the people born here and flooding our countries with millions of people from the third world. the US has just as insane immigration numbers as us. I don't think most people hate immigrants but we cant sustain these numbers any more its killing us all. Then to see the drug problem get this out of hand because of Decriminalization has truly destroyed Toronto. i don't live in the GTA, a few hours outside of it, but the tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people leaving the city all say the same things said in this video. we cant continue down this path...

Born here and sadly spent a few years homeless in Toronto after both of my parents died (orphaned) when I was younger. I remember being told I had to be at least 25 years old to get help from Streets to Homes in Toronto and was homeless at 17 with no living parents (orphaned). It wasn't until the beginning of Covid that I moved away and another city helped me get off the street in 4 months. Have my own wonderful place for the past 3 1/2 years.\n\nSo glad I never gave up, and so glad I never started drugs.

The sad part is, this is just one of the many issues plaguing Toronto. Our infrastructure is beyond overwhelmed, traffic is atrocious, crime is through the roof... you can't even take public transit without worrying about getting stabbed. Car theft is the norm, it has reached a point where people started installing bollards on their driveways. I can go on with housing, cost of living, food prices, etc but you get the idea... it's bad.

Thanks triuDAH, we've had housing issues for years, our homelessness are left to the streets and our new immigrants are offered housing plus gov't money to live compare to the CDN homeless

The homeless problem has become way worse over the years. Canada has become way too expensive to live with the outrageous prices in rent, heat, hydro, food, property taxes it’s bloody outrageous. Ppl loose their jobs and find they can’t afford to pay their rents and mortgages along with all the other bills if they can’t find another job right away. And companies are to hire minority over white ppl. A white male in Ontario, forget about it. White ppl have become minority now in the work force. Absolutely the cost of living has caused the homeless problem to sky rocket. As far as the system it’s true that the system takes care of foreigners first over Canadians. I remember many years ago I tried to get student assistance to take courses and I was rejected because I lived with a parent, the person on the other end of the phone told me strait out if I was a foreigner I’d of gotten the assistance, and this was way before Trudeau was in the picture!!!

As a South Asian living in the Uk ?? I've heard of the Desis in Canada ?? as having a bad reputation due to the smell in a place called Brampton. For FFS, learn English and integrate with the local culture. If you dont, then go back to India. I live in newzealand and I get discrimination because I'm a white female with no kids I'm not entitled to emergency housing or shelter but if I was a Maori woman with heaps of kids straight away il get emergency housing and if I was a immagrant all government agencies would help me with housing and a job it's bullshit I'm only homeless because the government sold my rental and I was a good tenant now I don't give two fucks anymore Im in survival mode on the streets thanks fuckn luxon u piece of shit making me homeless I'm prepared to commit a crime to get free lodging in jail atleast il be able to have a hot meal a bed and a shower and help with education

I live in Kitchener, just one hour from Toronto. Tent cities are here big time too. No immigrants in them. Like the guest said immigrants FIRST! They are taking our available housing and jobs. I remember living in Toronto in 1994 when homeless people were being found frozen under bridge's...The many in Toronto at that time were going out to provide blankets, food, clothing and toiletries. This has been coming for a long time Canada - and of course my comment will be deleted in under 5 second's.

As an Indian ( living in India) I agree that most students who go to Canada are the lower grade ones with poor skills. Good ones either go to the USA or Germany or help India become 4th largest from the current 5th largest economy. \n\nCanada is a cheap export destination for low caliber indian students

our economy is about $2T generated by just 40M people compared to India $5T generated by 1.5Bln people. Our standard of living is relatively high thanks to high productivity, not number of people. Low productive, cheap labor is not help but disaster to our well being. We do need newcomers but only highly productive individuals who can fill in existing gaps in skilled trades.

Never mind values, they have caused the rise in rent and home ownership. It’s ridiculous the way they keep coming to the country. There is comfortable living for immigrants.
