WOW, for you to be effective in your presentation you need to slow down! VERY difficult to digest your message, especially for those contemplating on coming to Canada and giving the place a try.

Someone once said to me that there was no better place for the MAFIA than in the federal government. I'm beginning to think he was right! Forget Canada, I am a banker in a PSB living in Mumbai, just because my bank has forced me to, even when I preferred staying in my Hometown. It's good to know that it isn't just Australians who lack empathy. Many of these places I go to require security clearance to get inside , and once you are in these places you are not getting any help. Rain, snow, blizzard. The work has to be done. If you damage anything your contract will be cancelled and they will most likely come after you. On the flip side, I make $720K a year. When I go back to my Kenya ??, I become a King. Canada's population increased by 1 million people in 2023. Hardly an indicator that life is substandard there. Also, Canada consistently ranks in the top 10 countries in every aspect, from quality of life to personal freedom to education to health-care etc. \nThose who don't succeed as newcomers here should have stayed home in the first place...

Trudeau created the problem, and it didn't have to be done, and now he wants to be a hero and give us a solution. The only solution is to reduce the supply of people looking for a place to live, a doctor, and a job. They are in competition with our own youth for the little that is out there , and the majority of youth, we are now told, no longer expect to ever have a home of their own. And we were brought to this sad state by a PM who said he wanted to make homes more AFFORDABLE and to help the middle class (whatever that is these days) and those trying to enter it. I've lived in halifax most of my life and never had a problem finding a place to live. I had to move recently and became so desperate i had to hire a realtor. My city is becoming unrecognizable and full of unemployed immigrants who don't seem to have a problem at all finding accommodation of ay sort. I work my ass off, and I and most people I know are fed up with this idiot sorry excuse for a prime minister bringing masses of people in when our infrastructure is strained to begin with.

They could make a big dent in the housing crisis over night if he just stopped his policies and deported the 1 million plus people who have overstayed their visas. That would easily free up jobs, and hundreds of thousands of places to live. Not to mention help with reducing crime and taking the strain off our Healthcare system. The way Toronto has changed in the past 30 years is madness. I cannot believe what I'm seeing. I moved to get some life experiences 20 years ago and couldn't go back home if I wanted to. The place I grew up in doesn't exist anymore.

Yes I totally agree with this but it is the upper class that have caused all of this by overinflating the housing market. It's a trickle down effect two-fold. One, everyone in small business must charge more due to a decline in community numbers from empty houses (foreign investment properties) and two, like was said, no competition so they (including the communications industry that mysteriously deters any competitors enter the picture) charge whatever they want basically.\nMy partner and I are buying a place on the other side of the planet so we can go live cheaply at least some of the year!

One of the biggest mistakes made in the USA is not having residential space in their downtown areas. Downtown tends to be business only and the place becomes a ghost town at night so for tourists staying near downtown is scary to go out for the evening but should you stay in the suburbs where there are lots of restaurants then you need a car as public transit is sketchy.

I lived on the streets of Toronto for over 3 years between 1997 & 2001. I'd always been a bisexual 'loose, wild and crazy girl' as they say, and for me it was a natural progression. When I was 20 my family immigrated here from South Africa but I was way too immature so Quebec City and I didn't get along. I and a girlfriend hitchhiked out to run wild in Toronto. The fun only lasted the summer and then I spent 3 years living on the streets there. Doing 'the job' just to get by becomes a chore for sure. I spent one winter in a tent city near the lake but too many people made it a violent place. My last winter out there I spent in the Don Valley with a small group, moving our encampment every few days. I would likely have ended up dying out there but a guy I scarcely knew at the time drove all the way to T.O. and spent a week looking for me and just by luck found me when I was at my lowest and willing to go home.

Alberta, absolutely not tge place to move, and live, unless you have job offer $160,000 or higher. The guy who made this video has no clue what he is talking about, and probably never been in Alberta.

High rent and crime are problems across Canada right now. Larger cities will be more strongly impacted. \nThe root causes are actually quite simple. It's from decades of downloading responsibility for many services until they ended up in the hands of municipalities who had no capacity to fund them, then made 2x worse by the disastrous immigration policy of just the last few years.\nIt explains all three of the problems you identify, unaffordable rent, high crime rate, and underfunded social services.\nSo these are not problems with Toronto, but at the federal and provincial levels. Simply repeating that there are plenty of better options elsewhere doesn't make it true, unless you can give specific examples. Other places likely pay less, require longer commutes, don't offer small size rentals, have even worse social support, similar crime rates, or some combination of all those factors.\nToronto itself isn't as bad as this video makes it out to be. The downtown core skews all the averages, yet all the reporting, b-roll, and examples seen here seem to focus on the core. Of course the reason why it's worse in the core is because so many people want to live there! But I'm not going to concern myself about people who complain that they can't afford to live urban lifestyle, to be a part of 'the scene'. There are plenty of much more affordable options within a 30 minute subway ride of the core. Well inside city limits. But your friends won't think you're cool, so... oh no!\nYes, rents are still too high outside the core, of course. But they aren't as ridiculous as this video suggests. The city is massive. Grow some humility and find a place to that you can afford to live, within Toronto.

Well, not to worry...this world is about to change beyond the imagination...canada and the rest of the world will be living in abundance in the near future...no matter, I plan on leaving canada when things become better, and they WILL get better...but, for me, architecture is a major issue...the buildings/houses here look more like institutes and 'feel' cold; whereas some other places look more like what I love...Tartarian buildings...so I'm gonna be moving to a place that has more Tartarian buildings that are more welcoming and warm...just sayin... ✌✌
