Becsuse Canada cannot accomidate an influx of people all at once. People from.3rd world countries who suddenly have access to a heath system for free? Thats gonna make for overcrowded hospitals. To say nothing of the lak of housing. \n But .... 30 yrs ago our biggest fear was that there would ,'no longer be a pension'. Those fears are quelled because these immigrants, while working at Tim Hortons will pay tax.

Scapegoating? It's simple supply and demand, and nothing can change it. Socialism won't fix it, importing impoverished people won't fix it, legislation won't fix it. You have to attract people with the proper skillsets to make the country and city better. Having a booming population and no room to grow doesn't do that. The California Bay Area and Los Angeles area has already seen the problems this causes, companies and skilled workers are moving to places that they can afford to live and build companies. With more people comes less opportunities, Canada needs to learn from the mistakes of others. Do not take everyone, take those who want a better life but can also give back to the country.

I wont recommend to move to Toronto even you are rich because what are you gonna do wit your money there? .There are so. many amazing places around the world where you could have a good life .There is nothing in Toronto for people with money .

The immigrants that are coming here feel scammed, the older citizens have seen our infrastructure crumble, and our country-born youth are watching their hopes at a decent life fall away. The final scene at the new Canadians rally is nice to see. But what you’re not seeing are the THOUSANDS of people who aren’t success stories. People who bring nothing to the party but still need a place to live. I’m fine with immigration, I think Canada is a better place for being diverse. But you can’t just keep the tap on when the glass is already full. We need to turn off the immigration spigot for a while, catch up to get our services and housing to a level that is workable, then look at turning it back on with a smarter outlook on the numbers to bring in.

My parents immiagrated here like 30 years ago and made sure to live in a community with different ethnic groups so they could adapt and learn english and assimilate. People shouldn’t be allowed to scam and not pay rents. But I also don’t believe people should be allowed to own residential properties as investments. Theres no shortage of other things to invest your money in. If people couldn’t own residential properties for renting purposes these scammers wouldn’t be able to do this. They would have to buy a home or nothing. Also homes would be less expensive with no investors in the market.

We need new bold solutions.
