This country gets what it deserves. I am also an immigrant and work on business intelligence. Have a degree and pay my taxes yet having pr is extremely difficult. Literally people without education who come as refugees or students get way better treated and advantages. However if you are a professional trying to work here you will have a hard time.

As someone living in Canada it's been crazy the boom of indian people. I live in a highly desired immigration location and it's rare to go to a fast food place and it isn't just full of only indian workers. Additionally, I walk to work for less than 10 mins, and I pass 4-5 houses just packed with young indian men packed into a house together, like 6-8 people. \nDespite all this huge number of indian immigrants I have no indian friends, because they don't integrate at all, they stay completely insulated in groups of other indians, often speaking to eachiother in their native language rather than bothering to learn the national languages of canada either english or french. We've immigrated like 5-10 years worth of immigrants in just 1-2 years. It's unsustainable and insane. we don't have the structure to support this population.\n\nIt's modern colonization. Plain and simple.

Toronto is down not because of the cost of living has gone up. Toronto is down because of low skilled and low educated, pot smokers, gathered in large cities creating large ghettos not productive for any cities or town. People become victim to their own low class and low level of thinking and dont want to work hard to move up.

Should lave limits on rent per square ft and also hight how some places get away with selling places at so high rates for under development housing but only thing working class can afford

I returned to Canada a few years ago and I have experienced something very similar to immigration to Canada. Keep in mind that I speak English and French and my ethnicity is Caucasian.\n\nStill my experience has been very difficult and I am deeply disappointed.\n\nMany other nations are better choices.\n\nThe USA ?? primarily comes to mind. I lived in the US for most of my life. I truly believe that immigrating to the US would be a better choice.\n\nMany European nations would also be better.\n\nThe one main idea I want to convey to anyone considering immigrating to Canada is that you are needed, but not necessarily wanted here.\n\nI work two jobs, and stay out of trouble. I speak the language and I walk the walk. Working very hard and getting nowhere.\n\nI do not feel welcome here.\nI feel like I am being exploited.\nHow will you feel?

I agree with the person who commenced at the 8-minute and 20th-second. Some Indians are in Canada, not to study, but to gain permanent residency. Indians look at the dollar, which is superior to the Indian rupee. The dollar attracts Indians to work and live in Canada so they can live a better life than in India. However, some Indians should acknowledge and respect that they are in Canada for a particular time and must leave once that time is over. Another thing is that some of these Indians do not adapt to the Canadian culture; instead, some disrespect it and take advantage of the loopholes in the Canadian system.

Why did Trudeau want so many Indians? Indians can be very racist. Often when Indians take over a business, they discriminate against other ethnicities: Chinese, Filipinos, and Whites. They often work in customer service, but are not as personable and helpful as other ethnicities, such as Chinese, Persians, Blacks, and Filipinos.

It's not their INABILITY to help. They CAN'T BE BOTHERED to help. They did not get themselves elected to help. They DO NOT care about your difficulties. They get those positions for money and power. You, the citizens, are NOT who they want to be happy. They work for other entities. They work for the happiness of industry leaders who sponsored their campaigns.

As a person who works full time in a minimum wage job. It baffles me how my friend who is unemployed gets way more benefits and money than me. Thinking of just going on welfare soon.

use to work 8 hours a day here and i was able to afford life, in now working 10-12 hour shifts and i hardly afford bills, i don’t even know what a vacation is , my only vacation i ever had in this Country was in 2015 when i went to mexico for a week. it’s just work work pay bills and work , that’s how most people live in this Country, it’s almost better not work in canada and make 8-10 kids and live of those benefits ..:: it’s what most immigrants do at least they have time for themselves

i work full time and i am still broken and rent...... i pay 39% of my income to tax, not including gst, carbon tax and other taxes.... i need money..... no matter how much i work , i end up getting the similar amount of money...

I was born BC, Canada 40 years ago. In my 31 years of working, the minimum/general hourly wage has gone from $7 to $17/hour. In my 24 years of renting, a one bedroom apartment went from between $500-$600/month to $1700+/month if you're lucky. Most businesses make too little to pay a living wage and governments make too much off of people trying to get rid of questionably gained money to care about the lives/best interests of the average person.

Every country that pushes growth with mass immigration is doomed to fail. Ai will kill 1.6 billion jobs in the next 3 years its already hitting Banking Warehousing Administration and Retail Shopping. Mass immigration also lowers wages for the majority and raises rents and property prices killing peoples ambition and desire to work hard. The wealthy are getting out of all the wests countries as mass immigration is a net loss with high crime rates and declining services. The countries that will be successful in this age of Ai will be those with small highly educated populations and none of those are in the west.

Ways to clean up and get our country back:\n1. Remove work permit and guaranteed PR after 3 years for Indians only. They ruin the culture, ruin the social experience for other brown folks, makes brown folks from other countries stand out like creeps (speaking from experience) \n2. Deny anyone asking for refugee and turn asylum seekers around.\n3. FULL stop to non citizens buying land and property. Ex: China and Chinese migrants own almost 70% of housing plots in Vancouver.

Canadian from Indian immigrant parents here, we do not hate our own people before I'm accused of anything like this. It's just obvious the amount of immigration we have is unsustainable and not particularly productive for the economy (the vast majority of immigrants are international students who end up working long term at places like tim Hortons). I think if we went back to allowing professionals to immigrate it would reduce a lot of the hatred towards the immigrants who I also don't blame for such a corrupt system squarely aimed at reducing expenses for the top 1% of Canadians

Pin points why Canada and even immigrants, including international students and temporary works dislike immigrants from Punjab:\n\n- They are rude. They have little to none concept of living in society. They are selfish, they are arrogant, and anyone who works in the serving/retail industry will they are the worst customers ever. \n\n- The level of entitlement is beyond absurd. When the leader of this protests in PEI was told “Canada needs doctors and nurses, not you (the guy graduated from a business program, and works at Tim Hortons still), he responded: “I don’t care what Canada needs, is what I need, for myself”, displaying what a great citizen he’d be.\n\n- They refuse to integrate. They left Punjab to pursue a better life, but they want to live like are still in Punjab. \n\n- They scam their way in. Banks in India will lend them money to come to Canada, they buy their IELTS results. 99.9% of all the students I dealt with who got caught cheating on their exams were from India.\n\n- The people we are receiving in Canada are members of a separatist movement. They have often blocked roads to protest against India, because they want Punjab to be separated from India, and turned into a new country called Khalistan. I highly doubt they would all move there if that actually happened.\n\n- Going back to the entitlement: They often abuse the human rights nature of Canada. Punjab people need none of it, and Punjab fathers are selling their daughters to strange men, so the family can move to Canada together.\n\n- Statistics Canada often talk about how our population is aging: However, they do not disclose how many of these aging population is due to Indian nationals bringing their parents and grandparents with them. If we got a million Indian people in the past years, that would mean around extra 4 million people over 50 years old. That’s 10% of the entire population. \n\n- They are scammers. You said yourself: To be eligible for a mortgage , you need to make at least $250k per year. They are landing in Canada with no money, and buying houses right away, because they have a network of people forging financial documents, and the also have people infiltrated in banks to approve these processes. The DEI department of my company approved a Punjab manager, and now more than half of the staff is Punjab. This is not totally an Indian issue. The government lied to them and scam them working with school for profit and putting them into debts. They let too many people and crash the housing economy and job economy. All for votes they thought they could get from these people. The real Canadians are suffering and left behind. They come here as student permit they should go back to there country if they need only a good education then come here for study ONLY . I’m from Quebec, the Indian immigration isn’t as overwhelming here. We’re pretty strict with the French language, I guess that’s the main reason why. Without French, one can hardly work as anything else than a dishwasher or cleaner.\n\nThere are high paying jobs in tech and other industries that will hire you even if you only speak English but you need to be qualified, obviously.

Canada immigration system needs to be updated, right now even people come here with a visitor visa can work or apply for asylum, there are lot of loop holes in the system.

Immigrants are not the problem.\nCanada is made up of immigrants. They contribute financially and morally to Canadian society. It's the overload of refugees that is taxing every aspect of Cannada , from taxpayers' dollars to housing to school overload to government budgets....
