Canada ?? is a paradise compared to all the problems in the United States ?? so I’m not sure why exactly you are complaining about Canada. I would do anything to leave the USA and move to A city in Canada.

I’m in the US and our paid and expensive healthcare system gets us the same treatment. You will still sit in the ER for a min of 10 hours and have a huge chunk of your paycheck pay for it. \n\nI’d like to see wealthy people actually have to pay taxes for once. \n\nAll the other stuff sounds exactly like the US\n\nNot sure if I could take the cold. \n\nThanks for the info.

Hi ladies. These are exactly the same situation here in the UK. I have been living in London since 1986 and surviving over here especially for those just arriving can be so frustrating. I often wonder why so many of our people are still struggling to come and live in these countries. I know you speak about the USA being better however I have a numbers of family and friends living in America and they are complaining about how hard you have to work in order to make ends meet. The answer to that could be the fact that many immigrants especially from Africa don't feel safe in their own home countries and bad leaders who continually fail to provide any opportunities for their youths and citizens. Thanks for sharing this vital information as many people think these western countries are paradise until they arrive and face the bare realities.

Great video..I agree with everything with 3 exceptions.. \n1- They is a lot, lots lots of millionnaires and billionaires in Canada.\n2- Concerning the health system, if you have money, you do have the options to go to a privat clinic, for either consultation or surgery ( it's one of the reason why, they are short of staff in the public hospital ).\n3- The boring part??? I don't know exactly where you live. Like every big country, they is more boring and less boring States. Living in Europe I can say the exact same things about my country. You always feel like the grass is greener on the other side but it most often isn't. There are a lot of places in Europe with harsh weather and more rainy/cloudy days than sunny ones not to even bring the seasonal change in daylight up, you always change one evil for another.

All Canada not only Vancouver it’s very isolated.\nPeople can’t afford to buy a house because the house marketing is 3 times the price compared to USA. The houses have shitty materials compared to my original country, and you simply can’t built by your own and that’s why every price rises.\nAnother issue you didn’t mention it’s there is no scholarships, it’s incredible expensive to get a proper education like university, and even so, they no offered scholarships. In Mexico almost everyone can reach the opportunity to study to be anything (lawyers, doctors) AND there is why you can get professional services everywhere. Here in Canada the business never have profesional services (like a real Human Resources, who studies for 5 years to be the best influence in a company, or a real engineering taking care of the machines in a plant. Canada only hire the cheap hand to avoid paying and I can understand it, but if more people could study more money moves in the country.\nAnother issue is there is not any public transportation into the cities or provinces, so if you don’t have a car, a driver license (it’s not easy to get one) and pay the super expensive insurance (it’s incredible 10 times more expensive than in Mexico) your can’t move from the place you are. Because of the weather you simply can’t move in a bike.\nPeople live just for pay rent, buy some groceries and buy some pre owned cloths in the thrift store.\nAnother problem it’s many rules to open a small bussines (like selling some food) \nHealth care it’s not exactly free: you need to pay for your prescriptions out of the hospital or if you never been hospitalized. And it’s very expensive to pay for them. You have to wait (to be true emergencies are different, they are good on that) you have to wait like 12-24 months to get an appointment with a specialist (gynecologist, etc) dental is not covered. \n\nExcuse my English I know it’s not very good but I love your video and I had to left my comments

so well explained. Iam an Indian living in West Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Benin) since last 23 years. Indian life and norms of socialization is very much like the African way. I have never lived in any of the developed country but I can relate to everything you say because I have relatives who live there and have told me exactly what you are saying.

Honestly I like this place..looks very quiet and peaceful..I'm from India and we also have lots of places like this especially government quarters or private industries quarters but the only difference is that we have more trees,houses were fenced and people are more social..I m blessed that I spent my entire life in such areas instead of some overcrowded congested places in Delhi or Mumbai loll..you will get to see the exact scenario especially during the day time in summers when people tends to be indoors but they comes out in evening everyday hanging chatting and playing around..and if you have some good friends then you really don't need any schedule lol..i still remember me along with my cousins and friends use to roam and wander around the locality even in the daytime in the scorching heat of summer when everyone was inside loll and we used to play volleyball or badminton till midnight..it was such fun and beautiful life..but unfortunately these days people are getting more reserved and more into themselves..

I hear you very well my brother. My only issue about this is that it seems like you came there to judge their lifestyles, and how they do things. I mean you know exactly why you relocated there and there are even good countries in Africa or outside where in which you could have stayed which would have accommodated the type of person you are. I am an introvert and I would definitely enjoy staying there because less contact with people gives me more energy and happiness. It is very vital to be prepared mentally, physically, and spiritually when you relocate to a different place. That is why doing prior research about the environment you are moving to is important. I am assuming you are temporarily just staying there, right? I mean like most of your family is back home in Africa. Then, why are you stressing yourself out?

My experience about Canada after living here for a few years now: \n1): Healthcare: There are two sides of it. If you need a specialist, forget about it, just live with your disease or problems and hope it will cure itself and won’t get worse. If you are in a life threatening condition and need a surgery, you’ll get it and the medical bill won’t scare you. I needed a dermatologist, never got one, eventually had to fly to the US for a simple treatment. \n2): Taxes: You’ll pay extra to take care of the large aging population of Canada and to maintain the infrastructure in the extreme cold weather. But, you can make a good use of your RRSP and TFSA accounts, and you can also buy American stocks without paying taxes. \n3): Travel and transportation: Forget about public transportation methods like buses and trains. You’re on your own. But a vehicle ownership isn’t very hard here. \n4): Social networking: Good luck with that. Good luck finding friends here or being a part of a friends group. Canadians are polite but not outgoing and extrovert. Most people make a few friends in Schools and College. You’re not going to see people of different races and origin hanging out with each other. \n5): Real estate: Population is growing, population is aging, it’s all happening but what’s not many houses are getting built. Buying your own house isn’t easy. If you’ve bought one, good luck with the energy prices. \n5): Landscape: It’s gorgeous out here, if you want to be happy in Canada, go out for sightseeing.\n6): Jobs: Totally depends in which jobs you can fit in and what previous experience you have. If you have previously done exactly what the job profile is asking for, for sure you can find a job.\n\nIn the end I would say, I have lived in many places, each come with their downsides, you have to see what works for you. The biggest issue for me as a person of colour is the systemic racism in the workplace, society, healthcare, housing. I’m still seen as a 2nd class citizen and denied the ripe opportunities only reserved for white Canadians. Even though I’m now a Canadian citizen myself and highly educated, there is still that double standard. You will love Canada if you’re white, but if you’re not, be prepared for daily micro-aggressions, demoralizations, constant rejection and harassment. As an example, I walked in with a white man to get my COVID shot. I faced so much resistant and questioning while he in the exact same position as me, got through fine. Don’t get me started at when I’ve been accused of stealing in a grocery store by a Karen. The colour of your skin is still very much a differentiator even in the metropolitan cities like Toronto/Vancouver.
