I have several Asian friends who are Canadian born, they attended college in America. They’ve all said the most racist areas in Canada are just as bad as the racist areas in America. Authorities don’t do anything about racism in Canada, they only pretend to.

The Canadians who have taken power and control over and upon others and childrens lives, have sabotaged so many lives, have corrupted reasonableness, logic, and needed care. Many Canadian children have been and are still being tortured, trafficked, profited on, and poisoned. Victims are now disabled, expected to heal themselves often while still feeling tortured, and are largely left to continue to suffer while the majority basically looks the other way, works to party, play, go on vacations and such, and basically refuses to understand what went wrong, where it went wrong, and where it's going wrong, in childhood. This's why I think most don't get it and why Canada doesn't have smart people, and why people ask why from others instead of figuring it out or should already know the answer if so-called adults were competent and actually helpful. The ugly truth is that Canadians don't know how to raise children all that well - day after day, year after year, generation after generation. Emotional and physical damages are often permanent; one a child or a person is poison and traumatise, there's no coming back. Canada at large is still one of the worst human violators on this planet and there is really no end in sight for child abuse because it's not Canada's top priority.

I realized... it is extremely difficult for us South East Asian to even get into Canada, be in for PR, Citizenship or Tourists. But it is very easy for CHINESE. Interesting or INTERE$TING. There are illegals in canada but honestly I feel bad for them because they think it's like in the state where they are free to do what they want. Here it's very very difficult because everyone who is a resident has a medical insurance which is hugely important plus not a lot of places pay cash , unlike the US. I think we need to come close to each as one humanity. We should at least talk and explore those all different skin colors men and women. Not all of them are bad. Systemic racism is a thing in Canada. Thankfully it is not as bad as it is in United States because Canadians are willing to keep up the good fight; they care and give an actual damn.

In my humble opinion, political over-correctness might be a bigger problem to Canada and most countries. Political correctness reminds people that some real bad things happened in the history and we shall not forget it and we intentionally do thing differently to correct it. However political over-correctness is poisonous to free expression making people somehow hypocrite which doesn't help for a better world because you don't even know what problems are and how serious they are.

Originally this comment was like the size of a book talking about just some of the specific examples of Police and civilian racism I witnessed with my own Caucasian eyes in this country. I am extremely patriotic and I love being Canadian but I have been saying for years that we have problems when it comes to racism but no one here wants to even acknowledge it. Of course we're not as bad as our neighbors but at least they talk about it and seem to want to come to terms with their bigotry and institutionalized racism in society. As long as we keep pretending we don't TO THIS DAY have an ongoing history with systemic racism in politics, policing and even in the workplace than we will never in real life be the actual Canada we try to tell the world and ourselves we really are and that makes me deeply sad and ashamed.

Is this more of a US / Canada thing? How is it in Australia? I ask because I have never experienced this in the UK ( brown Asian for reference). I am wondering if it is more relaxed in the UK or If I am so lost in my own world that I don’t notice if the staff is following me. \n\nIn my experience, if you look lost, someone might casually ask you if you need help. Otherwise most retail staff seem to be busy with their own work and you have to interrupt their work to ask them something which always makes me feel a little bad.

This happens both ways and is very real in Canada, but the racism against white community is just as bad if not worse than the other way around. Landlords won't rent to white people especially with kids. Some stores dont hire white people anymore.
