We have seen in covid era when no body was allowed to come to Canada including international students, there were countless jobs in Canada. Now it’s just the opposite. Stop immigration for the sake of people who are already in Canada ??

Why should Canadians support Indian international students? If you want support, finish your studies and go back to India and do not use the student/work visa route to never return. If your genuine intention to come to Canada was to study then once finished return home.

I work in security and I’ve interviewed many international students who are looking for work. MANY (approximately 80%) are taking Business Management and attending colleges like Norquest College. Why are we not steering some of these students to different programs?

As soon as you land in Canada, get your information straight. Know why you are here, where you will be staying and for how long. Once you land in Canada you are protected by Canadian law and international law on immigrants . A visa officer will not warn you of overstaying your visa (if you overstay you won’t be granted visa next time) no officer will tell you that. That’s not their job. People can be set aside for proper screening or scrutiny but that doesn’t mean they are being set aside for deportation. Deportation has a procedure and it’s a costly process even for the Canadian government.These are assumptions. You are exaggerating! Don’t be afraid people, Canada is a beautiful and welcoming country. Information on your application has to match information you give in your questioning. If they don’t match then suspicion is aroused.Even if it doesn’t , they are so many explanations you can give as to why ( stress, airsick,tired, confused ,hungry cus of the long flight) officers will give you time to cool off and come to you later. If it gets to the worst, invoke your rights as an international immigrant and ask for entry to Canada being a safe country as a refugee claimant . Officers can’t deport you if you claim asylum at the border, they have to follow due process and your case must be heard by a judge. Create information, not fear!

It used to be easier to live here. Housing costs doubled in even the past 5 years. Everyone who has lived here for a long time who are not immigrants are facing similar barriers. The landscape here changed so radically that communities feel colder since everyone is forced to leave their community every time they have to move and everyone they know is now an hour away.\n\nCanada is still wonderful in many ways, but inner city life harder, colder and more expensive. \n\nThe amount international students are told they need is based on Canadian averages and not the inner city of Toronto and so many are met with shock and difficulty. \n\nAlthough, locals are not entirely sure why people came expecting things to be easier at the same time struggle was already happening. As an immigrant with elect eng'g degree and work experience in power plant at international ship(containers and bulk carriers) as onboard electrician. Came to canada and cant even work as electrician. Back to zero all my documents and exp are nothing here. Guess its better to take my skill to the US or somewhere else. Universities should increase International tuition by at least 400%. \nThen use that money to expand their own student housing, not put it on the Provinces to build for more of these students. \nIts not fair to Canadians. Higher education is a provincial responsibility, however who issues the visa is the federal government. So the federal government needs take accountability when they are stamping visas to low level schools that are clearly exploiting international students

Can you ask each international student or immigrant you see on the street how much they paid the canadian government to come there? I'd probs say $30k/person (forms, medical or probs tuition). Canadian government is collecting $30k/per immigrant basically + cheap part-time labour but seems like it doesn't benefit the canadians. Only politicians getting richer. Most of these international students belong to the sikh community from northern india (punjab). Not all indians are like this, mostly sikhs because they are large scale fraudsters. India even asked the Canadian government to extradite these criminals back because most of them (khalistanis) are wanted in India for criminal charges...Canadian gov let them in and gave them safe passage. You pass by my old apartment in this video. I literally had to leave Brampton because im disabled and worked in mississauga and could no longer take the bus anymore because of the influx of students. The buses would literally drive right by you if you had a stroller or mobility aid because there's no way for people to navigate on the bus. Theyre so overcrowded, i imagine theyre running at over max capacity. I would watch elderly people who were even more disabled than myself get on the bus and the international students who were sitting in the disabled seatinv would look up at them and then back down at their phones. I would be yelling at them to give up their seats for other people while i stood on the bus leaning on a cane. They litterally do not care about anyone but themselves. And no matter how many times i complained to Brampton transit about disabled people not being able to properly use their services anymore, nothing came of it

If their intention was not studies why canada give them visa. Canada actually can take interview or has facility to reject without reason. Canada is greedy to take 5 to 6 times more money from international students and so can give facility to citizens. If person become it is OK but country become greedy it is not great for region. I met too many international students and most them they were studying on line!!! so they are not need to came to Canada, but the reason is they came for work. Each one has two jobs !!! So the reason coming for work and save money not for study and at the end after graduation they stay in Canada and never come back home.
