I am an immigrant as well. Came to Canada in 2005 as permanent resident and little became citizen. However, what is happening is mind blowing. They are replacing us. I got layoff from my job last year and was replaced by an Indian. The funny thing is that, the big bosses of this company are Indians, so all they do is hire more Indians of their kinds while laying off the Canadian citizens. This is not fair. We all want to make a living, but that's not the case.

I had been living in Canada for the past 25 years. I left the country for this reason. Canada is kind and welcoming, but people often mistake its kindness and politeness for stupidity and foolishness. It’s not just Indians, but people from many cultures who immigrate to Canada through easy means and tend to have poor ethics, attitude, manners, and lack professionalism.\n\nI miss the old Canada, as of now the country is inhabitable as it’s an asylum for fraudsters, cheaters, welfare check collectors etc. it’s really unbearable to hear peoples stories and how they got away. \n\nThe most painful part of it all is. The government knows it all and willingly allows it giving it a blind eye.

I know a Singaporean has Master degree in Finance, had a good job in SG, she pursued her career by taking MBA at Univ of Toronto, graduated, got working permit for her study, within 2 years obtained her PR landed a managerial position with 6 digits salary.

You know how its a problem. I just quoted a fence for a customer for $2400. The materials are around $1300 so the price is more than fair. They told me they got several quotes at $1700. And indians ended up getting the job paying like 8 guys 30 bucks. Id have to work for less than minimum wage just to match their quote.

You said yourself: To be eligible for a mortgage , you need to make at least $250k per year. They are landing in Canada with no money, and buying houses right away, because they have a network of people forging financial documents, and the also have people infiltrated in banks to approve these processes. Not me saying, that was national news. \n\n- They are extremely racist. They will openly tell you they only rent/hire/do business with Punjab people. Now, even the buses are driven by Punjab people, is insane. And you can tell they are new comers, because some of them can barely speak English. But is a well-known fact: Once one of them is in, they will make sure to bring in as many of their countrymen as possible, and only them. The DEI department of my company approved a Punjab manager, and now more than half of the staff is Punjab. English is no longer spoken in the hallways. \n\nSo these are just few of the complaints I have about them. I moved to Canada for a better life, and I have fully adapted to this country, and I’m resentful that this government allowed these people to slowly turn Canada into India. I was sold the idea of diversity, and I fell for it. I’m the minority of the minorities. Despite being a full Canadian now, every single day I think more and more of just going home. I’m tired of Canada.

Local colleges earned money, end of the day many Indian students think no scope here. My wife and I moved to Canada about a decade ago from post-Soviet states, where we both grew up with not much more than our smarts and a strong work ethic. When we arrived, adapting/integrating Canadian values, especially work ethics, was a big deal for us. Those first few years were tough, we really had to hustle to improve our lives. Now, a decade later, we're both in pretty solid tech and science jobs. Our child had the incredible privilege of being born in Canada, and that fills me with immense joy.\n\nIt wasn't just our own grit that got us where we are now; we owe a lot to the incredibly welcoming Canadians we met along the way. I'm thankful every day for the awesome, kind-hearted folks we've met. Canadians are truly some of the best people around, and despite lots and lots of issues, Canada is one of the greatest countries in the world. I know this because I've lived and worked across many countries on many continents . We, Canadians, need to keep working to make it even better. I'm proud to be a Canadian immigrant. Am I missing something here, Im not sure about open door anything, if you want a job you need to have work permit, if you are old and not eligible for working/holiday visa you need a visitor visa and look for an LMIA approved job ONLY, while already Canada, jobless, as a visitor, IF you get the offer its only then you can apply for work permit and after you got it then they hire you. is that how it usually goes? Or you have tens of thousands of dolars for a college you get study permit that enables you to work too. So, I dont see how is immigration to Canada easy and I have absolutely no clue how Indians and rest of the gang do it in such large numbers. Do they all just come on visitor visa and hope for the best? what about accommodation, money?

Corporations have lobbied our government to import and exploit these people for wage suppression. Landlords take advantage of them too with their near-limitless demand and can charge outrageous rent. Many people and entities have taken full advantage of our openness to immigration and our attitudes are rapidly changing. The only party committed to reducing immigration are the PPC and they have definitely got my vote next election.

Ok, here is my message to anyone that wants to come live here in Canada.\nRent for housing:\nApartment 800$-1500$ per month \nHouse 2000$+ per month.\nMortgage for apartment or house:\nMinimum house value 2 bedroom is 350000$.\nIn the cities it's minimum 400000$\nFood is not cheap. 2 litres of milk is 6$, loaf of bread is 3$, 1lbs of beef is 12$, gas is 1.75$/ litre.\nElectric bill is from 100-400$ per month depending on size and insulation.\nCar insurance and DMV is different in every province, but very expensive. Example in Quebec car license is 90$/ year.
