Canada is descending into the reality of socialism ... sad

My heart is heavy when i realize how much Canada has declined in all areas of life. The biggest cause has been the mismanagement of this incredible country by the Federal Government. The lessons we have learned since Trudeau has been at the helm is that a country does not operate on auto pilot. Canada has been systematically destroyed by hurtful policy changes and taxation.

In spite of all that, my most sincere assessment of Canada is: it is a true and genuine sh**thole country. I am also leaving. There is no hope for any systemic improvement. Canada lived a like a prostitute peddling its natural resources. This place should have been trashed decades ago. But it is happening at rapid pace. Time to move your monies into other places and get out, before it all goes into bin

All the best ! I am Canadian, but left in 2012 and have lived in Johannesburg, Dubai, and now Hong Kong ever since. Many lessons learned, dealing Canada Revenue Agency as a non-resident tax payer isn’t fun. Getting silly administration done, like renewing passport abroad, and keeping a darn Drivers License. You could definitely start a whole other Channel on how to cope as Expat ;-)

People here are complaining about the need to communicate in German even when they are high skilled professionals who speak good or excellent English (?). Just wonder how it is the other way round: is it possible for an innovator/highly professional worker to find a well paid job in the USA or Canada just with weak or mediocre language skill in English but with excellent/good skills in some other languages? Are other languages appreciated in English speaking countries when it comes to salary or position?\nSomehow I doubt it.\nYet there are highly paid special workers in the industry (mining, building) that actually do not have so good language skills but can their job.
