Just like to say im middle eastern / Heinz 57 mix as i work construction i spend all day everday outside. By the end of the summer i become very very dark and the opposite is true come later winter months when ive almost fully lost my tan. I definately notice a lot more untrusted/weary attitudes towards me when im in the darker state. However in the lighter state those things seem to vanish. Ill just add that the colour change im refering is not minor..

I'm native and I get followed alot. ALSO AT A SHOPPERS DRUG MART the girl kept asking to bring my items to the cashier. I had a few makeup items which were small I wasnt struggling holding them I said no thanks. So she kept following me watching me. I eventually got fed up put the items back and then I could see her wondering where they went and she asked I said I put them back in not a their stop following me you just lost a customer then she started tryna act like she wasnt doing anything

My mother was German/Irish. My father was french/dutch. I tan quite well, enough time in the sun and I get Puerto Rican dark. I got my dad's curly hair. I spent 10 years on the south coast of of the US so when I moved back to Missouri I was quite dark, not really an issue on the cost as everyone is kinda dark lol Back in Missouri I got followed around stores, had my bags checked coming out of stores, had clears talk to me in slow broken English, and before I could open my mouth was told they didn't speak spanish.
